We used Wag Hotels in Carson earlier this summer since our regular boarding spot was closed due to COVID-19. We were really on the fence about leaving our 11year dog since he is soo special and didn't know if he would receive the care he really needs. Wag hotels let our dog go to day camp (included) to get an idea of his temperament and how well he would do with other dogs. Our dog didn't do so well with other dogs but, I felt confident leaving him there for a few nights. We booked one of the suites and added special care for him. It was expensive but, worth my piece of mind and knowing my boy would be ok. I called Wag multiple times and they answered my questions and understood my concerns before and during the stay. I would 100% recommend and ask about any specials. Thank you to the staff at Wag in Carson. read more

Wag Hotels is the best ever doggy day care and boarding facility in the South Bay area by far! Just off the 405 ramp in Wilmington it's our go to place to take our puppy Chester for play and socializing time with all the other dogs. Wag has been our go to since Sofie was 4 months old. She is now 5 and goes everyday for All Day Play. The staff is amazing and so dedicated to the guests. Last year Sofie had a large infection that required surgery. It was Harley who noticed it and alerted us. We were out of town last November for 10 days. I never worried once if Sofie was being cared for and loved. I knew she was. read more

My dog came to Wag for the first time last month, at first of course I was a nervous mom and afraid my dog wouldn't like it. The girls at the front desk were awesome made me feel very comfortable with leaving my baby. Turned out I was more nervous then my dog because she had a blast and made so many new friends! I now am so grateful that I have a safe space for her to go while I'm at work and she can run around and not be stuck in the house just waiting for me to come home. Thank you guys for your amazing service.:) read more

We dropped off Olive for the first time and Wag it as easy as possible. We were definitely anxious to drop her off, having never left her here before, but Tiffany made it as easy as it could possibly be. She wasn't even scheduled to work that day, but saw a long line and decided to help us get through as quickly as possible. We have received several pictures of Olive since we dripped her off, and so far could not feel more comfortable leaving our baby with away. We will definitely be bringing Olive back in the future. read more

We bring our little pug/terrier mix in for a bath and nail trim about every 4 weeks. The staff is so accommodating and friendly. The groomer does a great job. This facility & staff are awesome! I had to put my German Shepherd dog at a hotel for a last min 3 day trip (last min as in day before notice) Crystal was able to help me out & explained everything very clear to me. I was even given a tour of the facility of the rooms, kitchen, play area before I decided to give the OK. The prices are soo reasonable & the staff are so friendly! I was often given updates on my dog to give me some peace of mind. I'm looking to book another stay for Roxy again. Thank you Wags! You're awesome! Oh & I was even given a photo of her at her stay when I picked her up! read more

This place was recommended to me and so I went on-line to book a boarding for our dog. Being that our vacation was nearing and hadn't got my confirmation I decided to go to the place to get confirmation, do a walk thru and I had questions. I had the pleasure of speaking with Tiffany. She went through my requests I made on-line and she said given the age of our dog may I make a few suggestions and customize your package? I said sure. She began to work her magic, began to explain the changes and why. Her changes brought up the price just a tad but didn't feel our dog would need the stress relief everyday if we swapped it for every other all day play but would have it noted to use the supplement if necessary and would comp me an upgrade on the size of his room and two all day play dates. She answered all my questions and I felt at ease. I then asked for a walk thru and she was very honest with me by saying they just had a hectic morning and to please give her a few minutes to tidy up. I was pleased with what I saw. Thank you Tiffany and staff. read more

One thing I don't play about and thats my baby boy.. I just gave this place 5 stars a month ago just to have to turn around and take it back?!. I picked up my dog after work to find his eye swollen and red .Then when I call to see what happened i was told that he was laying in his stool and maybe it got in his eye. But I express no its swollen around the eye then send pictures. 15 mins later I get a call from the staff saying that after reading notes for the night that all they saw on my dogs file is that he had blood in his stool. wait WHAT?!.. so i begin to panic.. the staff member tells me she will have the manager call me which never happens. I take my dog to emergency due to his eye and blood in his stool just to find out he has a severe infection in his stomach which if they would have told me soon as they noticed, this and all the extra problems he had could have all been prevented. But after paying over $1,000 to get my dog back to health he is back happy . But I am very disappointed in this place... last month I had bought a $280 daycare package for my dog but after this incident I will not be taking him back to daycare. Thanks NEW MANAGEMENT FOR CARING AND FOLLOWING BACK!! read more

Horrible. We are a nonprofit dog rescue and we're looking to have some dogs in daycare one day for about 5 hours. Willing to pay. Was promised a call back nothing. Went in person they assured me I would get a call the next day. Still nothing. We went again and promised a call. Nothing. Well I would hate to think what would happen if they had a problem with your dog because it's impossible to get anyone on the phone or to get a simple call back. Sometimes shiny and new doesn't translate to being caring about your dog. You would think they would want to help out a nonprofit dog rescue or at least gain a bulk customer. I would avoid. read more

Wag is #1 in the South Bay! I was looking for a place to leave our German Shepherd puppy and came across Wag online. Went in the 1st Time (so grateful they are a 24/7 facility) and the staff at the front desk was able to give us all the information. Returned a short time later and the whole process was very direct and all of our questions were answered. The staff is beyond friendly. They genuinely care. In the 2 times that Roxy has stayed at the facility she is always provided with so much love and affection. The staff is very detailed about her care and everything is notated. There's many boarding options to choose from. Wag also does grooming which I appreciated because my dog left smelling better than me. I had also called to ask if they would be reviewing more Lampchop chew toys and since they were out they were committed to escalate to upper management to order more as they are in high demand. I appreciate the small gestures. I wish they look into having a frequent client or rewards program. Long stays are usually pricey and it would be a way to reward the customer. Other than that, no complaints! read more

I had high hopes for this place because of all the positive reviews. So, I brought my 6-month-old Olde English Bulldogge puppy in a couple weeks ago hoping she could be socialized with other dogs. She has played with larger dogs with no problem. I have to say the people at the front desk were always very nice. But in the end, this place discourages any type of socialization or play. Any time my dog would sniff or try to play with another dog, she would get told to sit or get sprayed with water. You can read below for all the details, or for a quicker view, just check out their web cams. Let them speak for themselves. Day 1: I dropped her off at 8am. I had warned them that she was a puppy and had puppy energy. They assured me that she would be fine. I even told them to call me if she's any trouble. They had notified me of their time out policy for rough play. I understood because she is a bully breed after all. At 10am, I signed onto the web cam. I have to admit, I watched most of the day. They seemed to do a good job with putting her on and off leash, with a couple time outs. Then around 2:30pm, I noticed the attendant was a little less patient and had abruptly swatted her away when she was approaching another dog. From that point on, I didn't see her return to the "play" yard. I picked her up at 5pm and had asked why she had been confined so long. They tried to claim that she had just left the yard. I knew that wasn't the case. They then said they have "regulars" that come and they need their time on the yard. But wouldn't you want new customers to become regulars too? She apologized and was assured that she would get her time in the yard the next day. Day 2: I dropped her off at 9am. Signed on to the webcam again at 10am. In a 2 1/2 hour span, she had been put in a total of 1 1/2 hours of time out. I even asked if they could put her in with the larger dogs, but they explained that she could only be introduced first thing in the morning. They said they were going to put her on the treadmill to work off some energy. Then they'd try to put her back in the yard but on leash. She returned to the yard for a few minutes then was taken out again. At that point, I couldn't take it anymore, so I went to pick her up close to 2pm. Long review short... This place isn't for anyone that actually wants their dogs to be active, have fun, and play with other dogs. Never again. read more

As a first-time customer, I am very impressed with the team at Wag Hotels Southbay/Carson! The entire experience--from the temperament test to boarding and check out--was great. I wish I could call everyone by name who made the experience wonderful for my dogs (Nala and Ginger) and myself. Nala and Ginger have never been to a day camp (they're like home schooled kids LoL), nor have they ever needed to be boarded (they usually stay with relatives), so I was somewhat nervous about how things would go. Staff members (Crystal, Erin, Liz, Kirsha, Mike, and others whose name I hate I can't recall right now ) made sure I was at ease about their stay and that they (Nala and Ginger) were, too. I received daily feedback during their 5-day complimentary all day play experience, and I really enjoyed watching Ginger acclimate to being around dogs other than her BFF, Nala. Because Nala is completely blind, she received specialized care and, for safety reasons, wasn't able be on the yard with Ginger and the other dogs. The team did, however, make sure Nala and Ginger had time to interact with each other as they normally do. When it was time to check Nala and Ginger in for their week-long boarding I was more at ease about the time they'd spend there. During my trip I called to check on them and was given detailed feedback regarding their well-being--I was so relieved that things were going well! Upon my return I encountered a situation that Mike, the manager, went above and beyond to accommodate. I cannot thank him or the staff enough for making this a terrific first-time experience. I definitely recommend Wag Hotels Southbay/Carson--every staff member I interacted with was friendly, intentional, and accommodating. As a result, the team at this location has indeed earned a new customer. read more

Let me start by saying great and friendly customer service from all staff but especially from Steven. Right when I walked through the doors he greeted me with a smile and welcomed me in. It was my first time there and was seeing if I could get a tour of the hotel for my pups. Steven was very informative and answered ALL my questions and concerns. I have to say this place is great, super clean which is a big plus, 24/7 service, and the rooms the pups stay in definitely big, clean, and roomy. I also got to meet the owners and managers on this tour, very friendly. Overall experience was definitely a five star. I can't wait to bring my boys here and feel at peace that they are in good hands when I am out of town. read more

So on Fourth of July I dropped Rocket off at a Wag dog hotel because he freaks out with fireworks and by my house so many go off and I wasn't going to be home so I thought that was the best option. He would get to play with other dogs and have someone with him at all times. I'm going to give you a timeline! 7/2: I went there to fill out his paperwork and show them his vacs and set everything up. I reserved a room for him with a grooming, nails and teeth as well and an all day play pass for Fourth of July. I figured if he's going to be there he should just get everything done at once! 7/3: I called and confirmed that I added his all day play pass and it meant that when I drop him off on Wednesday at 10:30am he would get to play all day and wouldn't be sitting in a kennel. 7/4: I drop him off at 10:30am once again confirming that he will be playing all day and I will pick him up on Thursday at 10:30am with his grooming all done. My mom and I watch all day looking for him on the camera in the playroom and can't find him. Everyone thinking I'm being paranoid and his there and I just can't find him. 7/5: 9am. Get a call saying he's going for his grooming and will be done by the time I pick him up at 10:30. Get to the hotel at 10:15 to pick him up. I had been watching the playtime camera since 7:30 and he had never been taken to a bath. I'm livid. They kept him in a kennel all 7/4 because play group starts at 8 and he got there at 10:30. But no one told me that that would be a problem even after confirming that he would get to play all day and I even asked when I dropped him off at 10:30. He ultimately got two 1 hour pee breaks on 7/4 and then on 7/5 got to have free play because he was there overnight and there when free play started. And he never got a bath or groomed like i requested and confirmed multiple times. I would also like to point out on 7/5 I was watching him on the play time carom that worker that was in there did not interact with the dogs at all. My pup was following him and trying to get his attention and he completely ignored. I'm so disappointed and no amount of coupons or free nights will fix this. They also still tried to charge me for the play and grooming even though neither happened. And probably would've allowed me to pay it is I hadn't pointed it out. read more
