When it was being built I thought, why build a gas station across from a gas station? Tucked in what appears to the naked eye as a simple gas station/convenience store is Donuts & Deli. It's no secret I'm from California as I reminiscence often of cool balmy beach weather as I swelter in the humid heat of Southern Louisiana. Louisianians love their snowballs, but we Californians LOVE us some donuts. We have as many donut joints as you have snowball stands, maybe even more. After hearing about this place ( from darling Alexis), I was eager to get my hands on some donuts. They serve a selection of classic donuts, glazed, chocolate, Bavarian cream, jelly filled and sprinkles. But then.......a wide grin as big a the Cheshire Cat creeped across my face as I eye spied a cinnamon roll as big as my head. The little Alice in Wonderland within me jumped for joy as I drooled over the various donut holes and miniature apple fritters, perfect for any mad hatter tea party. We order the giant cinnamon roll, chocolate covered donuts and jelly filled holes, all delicious! I thought I'd try their original potato, filled with the yumminess of bacon bits, cheese, butter, sour cream and green onions for a whopping $3.29 ....their menu includes sandwiches, burgers and smoked meat lunch plates....it's was obvious that some knew about this place as a dozen or so worker guys were chowing down at tables located inside..... And I was assured that the sign is coming soon....... What I discovered, even though my name isn't Alice nor did I follow a white rabbit down a hole....is that I won't have to travel far to grab delicious donuts or a bite for lunch.......Donuts & Deli gets the California stamp of approval, I'm a fan!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH NO TRAINING. I asked for 4 piece chicken legs, she said I can't get that like that. I said ok well what comes with 4 piece dark, she said "4 piece dark!" with an attitude. I then clearly match attitude with hers and tells her she's being rude and she hung up. I called back and asked for the owner, she said I'm not doing this with you...either you order or I'm hanging up. Something needs to be done about phone etiquette at this store. I will NEVER order anything from here again.

I get tired of going into this place and ask myself why do I do it.. I go over to the fountain…read moredrink section to grab a simple ice cup and the big heavyset girl that works there who obviously was off duty, Was getting a huge fountain drink that was supposedly $.16 that was not marked up on the stupid drink dispenser area so I grab at 16 ounce or 20 ounce cup and she really obnoxiously's, rudely tells me that "OK she's ( the on duty cashier) going to charge you $.89 for that!" If I wanted one of those big top-heavy drink cups that spill in your car too easy, I would've grabbed one! people in that store just don't know when to shut the hell up, and mind their on business.THIS Circle K sucks!! I hate that store! too many loud and obnoxious people, employee and thug, school boy, liberal customer wise and standing in line waiting for the one and only cashier it's just like standing in a Walmart line and to make matters worse the other customers, talking loudly, CRAMMED PACKED while waiting in the long line are just as bad. I had a friend that worked there and he didn't last because they put all the work on him mopping floors etc. they obviously dig these people out from underneath the street somewhere or the bayou sludge. The only reason why I go there because of their good selection of seltzer malt liquor.
