Finished off with a hit of caffeine this cafe will do for me! There's nothing fancy or stylish about the place, it's just your typical tea room/cafe environment. They serve good easy food like jacket potatoes but they also offer up some seafood and meat dishes as well that i have yet to try. The prices are good, the service equally good and it's in the centre of town. I have nothing negative to say about this lovely little cafe and neither will you as long as you don't go with high expectations of gourmet food and Michelin star menus.

Decent no thrills cafe with good food and decent coffee!…read more I was pretty hungover after a few too many Gin's on a night out in London and waking up I was craving some bacon, sausage and egg alongside a cup of black coffee to put some life back into me. Mica cafe was just around the corner from where I was staying and it had some decent reviews so I thought I'd give it a go. Staff in there are really friendly and it is a real old school cafe but the quality isn't compromised. I had a bacon, sausage and egg baguette and a black coffee (just as I'd wanted ;-)) and it was great. Affordable pricing too as that cost me about £6. Great spot.

We were greeted promptly once we arrived and seated. The place is fairly small so seating is limited. After ordering our desserts they were shortly brought over to us. Freshly baked waffles topped off with delicious whip cream and chocolate syrup, Wafflemeister really does it well. Look out for them around London. They will not disappoint!!!

Ham & cheese croissant was solid - the exterior was crispy and flaky, though I wish there were more filling inside. Sausage roll was quite delicious with a flaky crust and good amount of meat inside. The presentation of the chocolates is elegant and inviting, and the staff is warm, attentive, and eager to help you find the perfect treat. We tried the strawberries dipped in milk chocolate, and they were absolutely delicious--fresh, perfectly ripe strawberries coated in smooth, creamy Godiva chocolate that tasted as luxurious as it looked. I wish there was a Godiva cafe near where I lived but I would be so tempted and gain so much weight. They lasted about two seconds before they were completely gobbled up by hubby, kid and me. The cookies were absolutely perfect but the wait to get them! They had one person working the counter (which was annoying when you saw so many people in the back) and that one person didn't move fast at all. My marketing mind zero'd in on the service here. They didn't seem to be into hustling here, which profit-wise, I'm sure the place could make a lot more if you only put another person on a register when the tiny little shop lobby becomes extremely full. Also, why leave a bad taste in the customers mouth when you have the perfect tasting product?? Move that line! Going back to the perfection... The smell when you walk into the shop is amazing! The cookies are amazing in taste. I'd um address the service issue cuz, I want to see you here when I come back for another visit. They have merch but it's so incredibly crowded in the shop I couldn't look at it. The picture I took I had to zoom in from where I was at. Pls, clean up the lines and perhaps you'll make more sales there.

Because my standards have shot up, and I'm ashamed to say that I purely paid for the Facebook popularity of the avocado icecream. I'm glad to say I've tried it, but it was pretty much a waste of money and stomach space. For around 9.5 pounds, you get a full-filled avocado sorbet icecream (5% sugar apparently) that tastes vaguely of avocado and mostly of lemon. There are some pistachio hints too. I really like the pit though, it had a peanut butter flavor and it was pretty decent. If you're there for the hype, take a picture of the icecream through the glass, and save your money for something else.
