Front entrance of Waffle House clean and neat, I'm ready to eat!!

During this pandemic with such a busy location. I must say this Waffle House is very organized, beet and clean. I called in my order and the customer service was pleasant, prompt and prepared. I was alerted how long it would be for my order to be ready without asking. I order my Texas bacon chicken melt with the Waffle House sauce which is more of a "Kranch" type taste or thousand island kick. Just meshes with the onions and cheese well. The Texas toast boast great crunch and soaks up the melt quite nicely. The seats were covered with plastic to make customers aware of not sitting down at this time to follow state orders. I suggest you drop in and get just the brunch mash-up you need!

Waffle House on Old Trolley Road in Summerville is one of my favorite Waffle House locations in the area and has been very convenient and consistent in their quality throughout the years. The food here is very well prepared and delicious and is made quickly when you need it. The staff here is very cool and works hard to make sure that you have everything that you need. This is a really good Waffle House.

Bacon precooked just sitting out until someone needs it.....

Service is mediocre at best. Wait staff hang around talking at the grill while everyone sits around with empty drinks.

Absolutely Phenomenal! the recommendations - on point by Shelby. the insight - on point by Shelby!! the service - PHENOMENAL above and beyond and great timing and awareness of our table. the food? Unbelievably good. compliments to the chef!!!!! highly recommend this place for a nice night out or to get delicious food and enjoy a meal. great atmosphere! I don't write reviews unless its outstanding, it's not my thing. This place was outstanding. Had to write this review.

decided to try the ice house again after 2 years.....hated the food…read morethis is my last time here and will not be back ordered the shrimp dinner $24 with the size of shrimp that comes in Chinese food. the collards were spicy ( i was told they are not ) and the mash potatoes were SOOOOO buttery that i sent them back and refused to eat that amount of butter ..Bright yellow and slimy. the burger plate was supposed to be medium and came to the table cooked WELL. I will say the she crab soup was excellant... but we came for dinner and that was way far below standards considering the check came to $103.96 the soft shell crab for $29 only consisted of one and it was fried so so. we actually wanted it sauteed not fried.. and the check had a Hospitality charge besides the tax which together came to 13%......funny Matts burger 1 block away only charges sales tax...don't like being scammed bottom line..you would think eating the for second time would be better and not worse...think i just skip this HIGH PRICE BAR FOOD

Nice small place that's easy to miss if you're just driving by. Parking lot is gravel and a bit…read moreuneven and there are stairs to enter and stairs throughout. I have difficulty with steps but there were enough railings to make it navigable for me. The building was likely to have at one time been a small house. There were six of us in our party and we were initially told we would be sharing one bill and the gratuity would be automatically added. A couple of our folks expressed concern and intentionally ordered cheaper items and no drinks to make sure they had adequate funds to split the bill. Fortunately our waitress, who was a joy, did individual bills and did not put on an automatic gratuity. The policy had the potential to seriously reduce the restaurant's income. They should probably rethink this stance. As noted, our waitress was terrific and rapidly got drink and food orders sorted. The menu is pretty short, but probably a good choice for a small pub type restaurant. My wife and I both selected an on-tap local brew, both of which were good and reasonably priced. We both also selected the fish and chips. The order came with a side of cole slaw that was pleasant. The chips were obviously made on site and both properly cooked and well seasoned. We are always surprised at restaurants that serve obviously bagged and frozen fries. The fish itself was reasonably sized and nicely fried. Quite tasty, but we sort of expected good seafood as this is a sister restaurant to a local seafood establishment. For the price the portion sizes of all the meals at the table seemed just a bit small. So we will quite likely return. It's not fancy. It's not high end dining. It's a tad pricey for pub food, but overall pretty good. I note here that had our waitress not been a gem or had they enforced the one check policy, this review would have been a good deal more negative. I suspect they have an accessible entrance but it was not obvious. That may be a consideration for some and checking ahead of time would be prudent.

I came here with my youngest son. He had a hamburger and fries and I had the Rueben and I…read moresubstituted the Brussels a burnt ends for the fries. My sandwich was good, not a great Reuben but a good sandwich. They definitely needed to get more of the water out of the kraut before putting it on the sandwich, and it wasn't really real rye bread. But I liked it. The Brussels and burnt ends were fine but needed a lot more meat, especially for a $4 up charge over fries (and I think they were $9 menu price which is insane for a side). My kid liked his burger and fries and it honestly looked good. Service was fine, or complaints or anything amazing there. I'm usually not a fan of gussied up burgers and fries but this spot was decent and should be a four star place, but the prices were simply not OK. I could have had a whole steak from Outback for the price of a burger here. I've had much better Reubens in big cities like Chicago, NYC, and Montreal that were bigger and with better sides for less money. If I am paying $22 for a sandwich and side it needs to absolutely change my reality and I that just didn't happen here. Prices need to drop here by 25% or more to be fair. J.Ja
