third time we've been, last time. We found the one on the beach express to be efficient and less noisy. we went to this one yesterday as close to where we live. The staff was loud, talking non stop. waitress never asked for drink order until she asked if we were ready to order. I got my breakfast, my husbands waffle took forever, then we were informed it "broke" coming out of the waffle iron. i was done with my breakfast when it finally came. I saw a customer have to get up and ask for a refill. i finally had to hold my glass in the air to get a refill. Again, the staff, were too busy talking, or should i say LOUDLY talking and the person cleaning dishes next to out booth was making so much noise...we shouldve gotten up after we got out drinks,,,,, read more

We had great service. The food was tasty. Our hostess was awesome and on top of everything.

I'm incredibly disappointed with this experience. From a hair in hash browns to a roach crawling around on the floor. Disgusting spoiled steak. Burnt raisin toast with no butter. Sweet tea that had obviously been sitting out for hours. I can't believe the low quality. I've been eating at waffle house for years and never had such a bad experience. read more

and my husband went Sunday around 1030am. Walked in saw 3 booths and the bar open but needed to be cleaned so we sat down along the wall to wait for someone to clean the booths bar or something. Only 3 booths had ppl 2 had their food and 1 family waiting on theirs. 10 min goes by 15 min goes by finally the woman ahead of us goes and stands by a booth and some lady yells with attitude "we will clean those booths in a min" 30 min goes by and still no one touched anything the 1 couple still waiting on food meanwhile there are about 5 waitresses standing around. They need to have some of our robertsdale waffle house girls show them how to do their job because summerdale is AWFUL. Robertsdale Waffle House 5 star! Summerdale Waffle House 0. We only went to summerdale because robertsdale had to clean the grill and we didn't want to wait. read more

Stopped here for breakfast on our way home from the beach. Julie was our waitress. I ordered a scrambled egg sandwich on Texas toast and she asked several questions to get the sandwich just like I wanted. My husband had a breakfast sandwich and hash browns. Julie kept our drinks filled and made sure our dining experience was great. read more

Was ignored for about 10 minutes by my waitress who was within arms length when I arrived. Had to finish cleaning table myself. Order was wrong, received grits instead of hash browns, country ham was gray in color, barely warmed (looked undercooked), had to ask twice for the waffle that was to be included with my breakfast. Was never asked if i wanted a refill on my coffee. Needed a to go box, had to ask another waitress for one. I can remember when Waffle House was the epitome of efficient service, good food, and value. This is apparently not the case at the Summerdale, Alabama location. Wont be back. read more

Do your health a favor and Do NOT eat here! Our group stopped in after going to Mobile for a haunted house. Let me list the reasons to avoid: 1. BUGS IN THE KITCHEN 2. HAIR IN OUR FOOD 3. SPOILED MEAT Aside from all of that, we had to wait 20 minutes before we even got our drinks. The tea was so bad it made my bonus girl almost throw up. The steak and bacon both had an expired taste to it. They said they would remove it from my bill but then didn't. Did I eat it? Absolutely not because I don't want food poisoning. All 10 of us were served COLD food. The cook was working as quickly as he could and orders just piled up. Our food was freezing because the servers, I say both because neither of them actually established themselves as our server, let the food sit on the line. To add insult to injury, some of the toast was burnt and they messed up numerous things that we said we wanted. If we are going to be served cold food then at least make it the right stuff, cooked properly, minus hair, hold the food poisoning, kick out the bugs that were going across the kitchen floor, and bring it out all at once. I'm completely blown away that this place is even able to operate. It's the sanitary equivalent of eating from a dumpster during the month of December. read more

Omg if your a WAFFLE LOVER! This place is where it's at! While road tripping from SoCal I've seen WAFFLE HOUSE every where, I got the hash bowl, with over easy eggs, and sausage, also the chocolate chip waffles. Food: chocolate chip and pecan waffles were Soft with the right crisp, tender melt In your mouth delight! The hash bowl was very filling and comforting, had a cup of coffee as well to go with it. The WAFFLE was so big that I couldn't finish it all. Service: our waitress was very sweet and she was attentive when needed. Friendly staff! Greeted our party once we walked in. Decore': pretty much simple seating at the counter or tables that are close to the Actual kitchen, so you have every dish or beverage handed to you straight from the stations. Very Clever layout for quick service! WAFFLE HOUSE you made my fat girl problems come to life. Definitely a great place for breakfast lovers! read more

Stopping for breakfast, my husband and I found this little place to be clean and the food was cooked just right. Our waitress was Amy. She was very attentive and kind and saved us a little bit of money so I left her a nice tip. We definitely will eat there again when we're down this way. Well I used to like going to Waffle House but I am changing my mind now. Just went to this Waffle House ordered a breakfast sandwich and black coffee and got the coffee. A little while after a man came in ordered a breakfast sandwich but with 2 eggs from same waitress. I was almost finished with first cup of coffee when waitress served the other man his sandwich when I asked what was going on the waitress said she didn't know so I just paid for my coffee and left. This is one place I won't be back to. read more

As much as I love Waffle House, I must say that this particular location is lacking in the waitress department. Our waitress took our drink orders and then wondered if we needed anything else! Yes, we wanted food. After taking our food order, she literally quit. We felt very bad for the cook who had to take orders, cook the food, and run the register. Lord I hope they don't continue to employ that girl if she ever comes back... if you're craving Waffle House, continue on to the next location until they can get properly staffed here. read more
