#45/2023 That's been a couple of years since I reviewed this one. Definitely stands above average amongst many. This location has been through a few ups and downs. Recently though there's new management and they're doing with the can to get everything turned back around again. For a time they had some problems where staff didn't want to work they would lock the doors and not answer the phone and a whole lot of other BS. I came in hungry for dinner and ordered up the two grilled chicken breasts they were plump juicy and Delicious better than a few other waffle houses I've recently been to I asked for a double order of hash browns lightly scattered not crunchy they did a fantastic job. And I had raisin toast and Diet Coke The employees were a lot better staff is doing really good and therefore I'm holding it four stars definitely above average at this location next to the pilot. read more

The off the beaten path Waffle House -- ahh yes, I do have my radar always on and scanning, they tend to be just a bit better than those in the more urban areas. I always feel very welcome and my business appreciated at the Waffle House, I'm greeted well, my order sincerely taken and always with a kind smile. And this location was all of that, just a bit better with a darling woman working our section of the counter. My over easy eggs were timed perfectly to the second it seemed once fork pricked, as the bright orange yolk slowly worked it's way to my cheesy grits. That moment is what all mornings should be about, if it werent so far from me. Breakfast done this way, done here, beats out so many diner experiences in the North East I have had. Not just by being roughly half the price, not just by the down to earth kind folks that ready it, but the quality and care that goes into the final product. read more

Visited 3/17/2024. Simple order of one waffle to go. Waited at the counter. Paid for the order and looked at receipt. See Pic. There was a to go charge which I knew about. I then looked at the receipt and saw a service charge. I asked the staff. The cook said it was just added by the computer as a fee for the server to package the order. I asked and said "Isn't that what the to go order was for?" No response. The server then heading my question packed up my waffle and instead of handing it to me at the counter where I was seated, he placed it next to the trusted and walked away! After a minute I asked if that was my order and the server just said yep. Totally terrible visit. So I get the food home and there is no utensils in the bag! Too many other good service waffle house locations to ever use this one again! Sent contact to corporate which was a chore in itself! I post follow up if I hear from them. read more

Worst Waffle House in the area. Never open past 9pm even though they are 24/hr. The employees lock the doors and pay no attention to the door, act like they don't see you while they just "look busy" for the cameras while they do nothing. Go to newberry or Chapin where they actually run things correctly. read more

Worst Waffle House ever. Every table was filthy when we came in. Took the waitress 10 minutes to acknowledge us and come to take drink orders. Brought 1 set of silverware and when I walked for more she pointed me to their cart of silverware because her help hadn't come in. 20 minutes later when the help arrived they stood around and the tables still only got cleaned after people coming in stood around looking for a place to sit. Also any condiments are badly watered down. Ugh read more

The thing i love about any Waffle House is the friendliness of the staff. I always feel like a visiting cousin!! This one was super easy off the I-26 so i went for some kindness, and i got it!!! Super fun friendly staff, almost cartoon-like atmosphere, old-fashioned juke box and fast service!!!! Ok so the waffle was only crisp on one side, the eggs were runny, and they don't serve real butter... but the coffee was decent and the bathroom was super clean! Those are things i want when stopping in an unknown place off an impersonal interstate highway... To be greeted with a warm smile and treated with kindness and respect and cared for. Is it part of the training? Now if you could match that customer service with organic healthy non-gmo food... read more

Worst Waffle House around. Always filthy, super slow and unfriendly service. Just walked out after sitting there for several minutes and not being greeted. Rather drive an extra 15 minutes to somewhere else. read more

It felt like we were in a Twilight Zone episode. We walked in and sat a dirty table. After about 5 minutes the waitress yelled "I'll be with you in a second". About 7 or 8 minutes later she came to our table and started placing silverware on the dirty table. I had to ask her to wipe off the table. She then asked if we needed a menu. We said that we were ready to order. It took a long time to place the order because she kept getting confused. Trust me, we didn't have any weird requests except for asking for onions, tomatoes and jalapeños in our hash browns. 2 orders were identical (cheese burgers & hash browns + 1 all star breakfast. While we were ordering the cooks family came in. Her kids went straight to the bathroom and it sounded like they were having a wrestling match in there, yelling banging something on the wall. We then overheard the cook and waitress arguing about our meal so I got up and asked if there was a problem with the order and the cook said "no, I just need to know what it is". I said "Ok, I can tell you" and she said very loudly "no, she needs to tell me" referring to the waitress. I went back to my seat somewhat astounded at her yelling at me. About 15 minutes later our food came except for my nieces waffle. We then discovered both my nieces fork and spoon was dirty so we had to share a fork. No one ever came to the table again until we were finished and about to leave and they brought a waffle. It was dropped at the table with an apology. No offer to refill our empty drinks or if we needed salt & pepper at anytime during the service. The food was decent but would have been a little better if we could have had a little salt and some ketchup. The whole time we were there there was this loud noise by our booth that sounded like an air compressor cycling. After a while some guy got up and fixed it. We go to pay and the waitress said I'll be with you in a minute. She was at the bar with the guy who fixed the loud noise. He's on his phone ignoring her and then she poked him on the arm and asked if he wanted to order. We had to wait while she got his order and trust me, it took a while. I would rather drive a few more minutes to spend my money somewhere with a more caring staff. Here's the kicker, while COVID is blowing up right now, the cook refused to wear a mask! Hey it's just another waffle house on the highway but you know what that's a good thing it's very consistent and it's a brand-new one so everything is nice and clean and good and the staff is pretty cool although they didn't do anything amazing they were just good standard waffle house staff and the food was prepared like it always is it's on exit 82 on South Carolina Hwy. I 26 and it's a easy on and off exit and I'm glad that they put want to hear and hay at the end of the day is just a waffle house but they really do fast food diner thing well it's always a pretty fun environment the staff is always pretty quirky and the food is decent enough for the price and hey you can't beat sets Chili!!! read more

Completely disappointing rude manager that does not cook food properly. I had burnt plastic in my hash browns. He also messes up orders intentionally. There is not way he messes up a customers order every time they come in. read more
