I honestly saw the billboard for this place out on I26- like 80 miles out and thought, that sounds…read moregreat! I made sure to note the exit number and knew it was before my exit, so off I went! As you wind your way through the antique store, you eventually come to the center divide between front and back- and there is the sign to point you to the cafe, but seriously, follow your nose. You can smell the deliciousness once you get to the center. The cafe is downstairs- but it looked like locals park and enter from a back door- like the building is on a hill and the basement back door is ground level. FOOD! There was a special on the board for a grilled turkey, bacon, gouda and I was tempted, but that would be a safe choice for me. When I saw the berry gouda grilled cheese, I decided to be adventurous!!! Sourdough bread, the bacon was thick and cooked perfectly i got the punch of blackberry with the gouda & all the flavors came together beautifully! It was a pleasant surprise! I also ordered hot tea- I'm usually running cold, so a hot cup of tea or coffee is always welcome- and especially since they serve Charleston Tea there! I had a cup of the raspberry tea, always delightful. Service was sparkling. I went back today to the antique store, but I missed the cafe hours- probably a good thing, I wasn't hungry- but I doubt I could've resisted the smells. Highly recommend- and the antique store is wonderful!

Lots and lots of seating and the place was packed. Two ladies at one table were squabbling over "the last slice of tomato pie" so it must've really been good. When you're fighting your family member for food it's an excellent recommendation! We ordered the BLT on toasted sourdough with a side of ambrosia like tropical fruit salad. For dessert, we reserve a slice of carrot cake because it appeared to be popular as well. The BLT was delicious! Thick slices of real fresh tomato, nice piece of bacon, and crispy lettuce in nicely, toasted sourdough. The fruit salad was heavenly, like ambrosia, which I haven't had in decades. We will

Meh. First of all you cannot view the coffee menu in the website. You can only buy "swag" and…read morecoffee by the pound. Also this location IS NOT a drive through even though it indicates that it is on Google maps and Yelp. It's such an irritating thing when a business, especially a coffee location, keeps the only menu available at the cash register. This means that the line backs up and everybody has to wait so that the the peeps at the front have to spend several minutes at the cash register to figure out what they want. That adds to the slowness of the baristas, which are pretty ho-hum about the whole endeavor. We each got lattes, I got the spicy honey-cinnamon and G got a regular. Nothing special about either, just middle of the road. In addition we asked for a "Pupa-chino", for our Puppy-Dog, which is usually a small cup of whipped cream that most coffee shops (and even McDonald's) give you for no charge. When we looked at the receipt they had charged us $1.50. Would have been nice to know they charge for it. It was huge, a full 12 ounce cup of which we ended up tossing out half of. Puppy-Dog certainly enjoyed what he got but it was just way too much greasy fatness for him. Finally, I'm not sure what the deal is, the people working there are as quiet as mice. I had to ask the girl to speak up at the check out because we couldn't hear anything she was saying. The person who called people's orders out was also really mousy quiet and so orders were piling up. We just got the vibe of incompetence and mediocrity. Likely wouldn't come back.

Needed an early morning coffee and the kiosk was there with a WIN!…read more The Vanilla Dolce is fantastic. The barista and I had a lovely chat while the coffee was brewing and I learned more about the coffee they roast. Definitely recommend swinging through for a cup of joe.
