    Hashbrown bowl
    Gretel Y.

Waffle House's service is always a hit or miss for me. You never know what you're going to walk in to, which is part of the overall WaHo experience. Fortunately, this visit was one of the better ones. My son and I dined on a Monday afternoon, just before 1pm. There were only a few other customers when we arrived. We were greeted upon entering and I let my son choose where to sit. He chose the bar seating by the refrigerator. Our server, Axel greeted us and took our drink orders. I could tell he was new, he asked a lot of questions to make sure he was doing his job correctly/properly. He was very kind and respectful. I ordered my usual: Texas Cheesesteak Melt Plate with the hashbrowns covered, chocolate chip waffle, and coffee. My son ordered a hashbrown bowl with ground meat, eggs, and cheese. You come to WaHo because you want cheap, greasy, tasty food. That is exactly what I got, and it was delicious! I always leave uncomfortably full. This time was no different. My son raved about his bowl. He kept asking me to try it, but I turned him down because I was struggling to finish my meal. We shared the chocolate chip waffle, which was plenty sweet. Out of all the years I have dined at WaHo, they have only cooked my chocolate chip waffle correctly by mixing the chocolate chips WITH the batter. They usually place the chips on top of the waffle after it has cooked, which is fine but I prefer it cooked in the batter. This location placed the chocolate chips on top of the waffle after its cooked. I should have specified... Our bill was around $20+. I had some coupons from a fundraiser, which they honored with no issues, so our final total came to just under $20. The restaurant was fairly clean, including the bathrooms. The staff was nice throughout our meal. I didn't witness any drama or inappropriate behavior from staff and/or customers this time, so I'd say it was a great experience overall!

Listen! I ate and left no crumbs...literally!…read more I was looking for a breakfast spot and this place popped up. It's one of those places that you don't know exist unless you know it's there. It's located on the corner of Webb Ginn Rd and Grayson Hwy and is connected to a Shell gas station. When I walked in, it reminded me of someone's kitchen, which I really loved. Very warm and inviting. There were pictures on the wall of different celebrities. I'm a big OutKast fan so I definitely enjoyed them paying homage to OutKast and of course my Falcons. So the restaurant is New York City food infused with southern comfort which is so intriguing to me. They have a very nice and expansive menu from seafood, burgers, and breakfast items. They even have vegan options as well. The kind lady that took my order did say that everything on the menu is sold all day. I asked her how long had they been open and she said last June made a year. I ordered the shrimp and grits and the Oreo cookie crunch cheesecake but to my horror, the kind lady said something about they did not have dessert. Now I'm not sure if they had ran out or just wasn't serving dessert at that time but it was just after 11am when I got there, so it was lunch time hours. Needless to say, I was disappointed but the food definitely made up for me. The shrimp and grits were AMAZING! The sauce was what really did it. The biscuit had like a honey topping and was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The portion size was perfect! I'm thinking really hard y'all but honestly, I have to say that, that was the BEST shrimp and grits I've ever had. I'm looking forward to going back and getting that Oreo cheesecake and I really want to try the hoagie.

We were craving breakfast food (we don't do Waffle House-lol) after being out all day and we caught this place right before closing, and they didn't treat us like they were closing, they cooked our veggie omelettes to order, so the food was hot and fresh, the home potatoes were seasoned to perfection and again, that biscuit was not playing, all soft and yummy on the inside and flaky on the outside. My guys is already planning what he will be ordering next -lol Friendly service and great prices. Check them out, you will not be disappointed, the place is small, more so for take out and they have a decent size menu.

The server mentioned they even have a DJ on one of the weekend days !! So we decided to try a little bit of everything it seemed. I was pleasantly surprised that the Shrimp & Grits incorporated chicken sausage. It was more than feeling as a meal, the grits were creamy and the shrimp couldn't have been better. Now the chicken wings stole the show for our table. Always nice when your food comes out piping hot & fresh but when it's seasoned perfectly, what more can you ask for !! The greens were ok, can't quite put my finger in it and the Mac & cheese needed a little bit more love. Now the breakfast potatoes and the biscuits were another star. Stuffed can't even describe how we felt when getting up from the table. Now I will say that waiting for our food to come out took longer than we expected, but appreciated that it came out hot and delicious for the most part. Yes, I plan to visit again when I'm Atlanta as I had my eye on the Peach cobbler French Toast. Yes, you read that right It's worth checking out.

You get that old time customer service where the wait staff remembers your order. The food portions and food flavor never disappoints. I'm always left full and with extra to go. Me and my partner have been coming here about 2 months of Sundays in a row! You would think somewhere else would do it, but no! This is it! Location: is in Lawrenceville. If you are in Gwinnett, it's very easy to get to and ample parking. Service: everyone is lovely. It's very family oriented and the wait times are not bad. We typically come before the church crowd, or shortly after but even when we came during, we waited about 10 mins to be seated. Staff: Always lovely, always remember what you've ordered the first time - no complaints. Food: THE BOMB. I'm being dramatic, but this has gots to be the best French toast I've ever had outside of my mother's and my own! The chicken fiesta omelet??? To die for. The omelet and the salsa. Hands down the best in Georgia! Pricing is fair. I mean everything is lovely. I will always chose them for Sunday breakfast.

Unfortunately though they had upcoming reservations so we weren't able to sit in the main room. We sat in their second dining room which was off to the side but still decorated. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint with the shrimp. 6 jumbo pieces. Omg. The entree was done pretty well and it was just the right portion size. The World's Best BLT in a Lonely Gas Station Corner…read more Tucked into the dim corner of a run-down gas station off Highway 14 is The Griddle Stop, a place so unassuming you'd drive past it a hundred times without a second thought. Dusty windows, flickering neon, and a gas pump that hasn't worked since the Clinton administration. But behind a creaky door and a scratched-up counter sits the holy grail of sandwiches: the world's best BLT. Served on thick, toasted sourdough that crackles just right under your bite, the bacon comes in unapologetically fat slabs -- smoky, crisp, and curled like it has a story to tell. The lettuce? Iceberg, shredded fresh and cold like it was pulled straight from a mountain stream. The tomatoes are impossibly red, juicy, and somehow always in season, kissed with just enough salt to make your lips tingle. And the mayo -- homemade, garlicky, and spread edge to edge -- binds the whole miracle together. There's no music playing, no Instagram signage, and the cook, a retired Marine named Earl, only grunts when you compliment his food. But when that sandwich hits your table (a wobbly Formica top near the vending machine), the world slows down. You forget you're alone. You forget the gas station smell. You forget everything but the next bite. Five stars. No frills. No fuss. Just the kind of meal that makes you question every fancy sandwich you've ever overpaid for. Earl doesn't serve happiness, but he'll sure as hell give you the sandwich that feels like it.
