Saturday, 7/13/24, approximately 11:15 am. My friend and I, and two of her grandsons, just left the Waffle House in the 600 block of Jefferson Highway, Jefferson, Louisiana. We all ordered basically the same thing. The only difference being the way the eggs were cooked, the two boys wanted peanut butter chips on their waffles, and I asked for a side order of hashbrowns. The food came out sporadically. One person would get everything, another person got one item, the two boys got bacon, three of the waffles didn't come out until after they were almost finished eating their food, my hashbrowns didn't come out until I was completely finished eating everything. The server was polite and professional, the way the food was served is horrible. But, the thing that disturbed me the most, was the music volume in this small building. I asked politely for the music to be turned down as it was about to blow me out of the building. It was though I was at a concert for a demographic that I am not part of. Had the music been turned down to a reasonable level, it would have been tolerable. Based on the way, the food was served, and the loud music, that I was told would be turned down, but was not, I will not return to this waffle House again. While the place was busy, it was not packed, and there is no reason for the food to come out sporadically, nor for the music to be so loud that it made it uncomfortable to sit there. And, to be perfectly clear, the food had been partially served before the music started playing. I will reiterate, I WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!!! read more

Employees in the parking lot smoking, nobody cooking. When cooking did get finished bacon was beyond meat only resembling a burnt offering. Over medium eggs could have been used as a hockey puck. The server did recognize the eggs and had them redone to only being passed through the skillet momentarily and served from the line as over raw. The hash browns and toast was good. Coming from a server I dined in alone went to sit at a table and the woman behind the counter immediately stopped me in my tracks and said this section is closed sit only on this side or at the counter. Ok no big deal I sit on the other side was greeted told her I needed a min but if I never called her back I would've been sitting waiting for who knows how long..she took my order and my food came out wrong no chocolate chips on my waffle she takes it back but instead of removing the butter packets on top my waffle and nicely place my chips over my waffle she just threw it on top the waffle and butter packets just ignorant..I asked her for warm syrup she said we don't have that..what?? I got it every time I ate at waffle literally just warming it up she was just being lazy..10 secs later she places my yellow ticket on the table as if I'm not sitting down eating but now I know why because I never seen her again lol like really?? Not once did she ask if my food was okay..if I needed a refill or if I wanted to order anything else which I wanted to but I didn't feel welcomed..I'm a server I love leaving good tips I dined in so that I could leave at least $10 depending on service $20 but I left her nothing but dirty dishes she has to clean herself. This was the worst experience at a Waffle House ever. I've been to Waffle House before, and know what to expect. What I received was another thing. The coffee wAs just bad, not enough cram or sugar on earth could make it drinkable. Then my order 2 eggs, 'crispy' hashbrowns, bacon and toast... it looked okay, until I tried a bite of hashbrowns... the top was crispy and the underside was Luke warm undercooked. I tried to get the server's attention, she never told us her name, but no luck. Ther was on,y one other table and one person at the counter. I had to get up and walk over to the cooking area where the other server loudly asked what was wrong?' I tried for discreet, but this person did not have volume control, even though she could see they were not cooked, she loudly argued with me. I just handed her the plate and told her to take it away. Then the manager came over to ask me what was wrong, I told her, but she was more interested in trying to get me something else. I mean if they hashbrowns aren't cooked, why would I try anything else. I politely declined any other food, and was informed she would remove my food from the bill. $6 was taken off the bill, at this point I did not want to deal with these people anymore. Please avoid this location. They are rude, can not cook and the service ( when you can get it) is horrible. I ended up getting a drive through biscuit.
