Great food and service! I know it's only a Waffle House but compared to all the others I've been to, this one is by far the best.

I spent the summer in this great town outside of Atlanta. Gritz was the talk of the town. So, of…read morecourse, I wanted to go. I will tell you this. It can get a bit crowded, and that said to me that's where I needed to be. I tried a few times and couldn't get inside. But I finally got in, and I see why people like it so much. It's very family friendly, as I had my niece with me. Plus, overall, the waitress was very nice, and the service was fast. Now what a surprise, a special sausage was on the menu. It's hard to find what I call red rose sausages, and cooked with a little burnt, the way I like them. Well, they are here! Of course, I ordered the grits, and there were no lumps. Those are the best kind of grits. We ordered a breakfast sandwich. It's been a while since I had one. We shared that, and it brought back memories. We actually closed down the place. As you can see in the pictures, it got empty. But when you find a great, delicious breakfast with red rose sausages that remind you of home, you'll sit there, enjoying the food and forgetting about the time.

I like to try new restaurants so headed down to Griffin and decided to give this place a shot. It was crowded, but we were able to be seated rather quickly. Our server was attentive and very nice. She did a good job explaining the different items and any specials that they had.. we opted for cheeseburger or breakfast plate, and I swapped out the bacon for fried chicken breast. Also got the lunch plate with mac & cheese and fried okra.. the fried chicken breast was absolutely delicious and so was the okra. I wasn't a huge fan of the pancake, but I got the plain one.

The atmosphere is always inviting with just the right amount of volume with ambient music that does not drown out conversation. The pretzel bites are soft and the beer cheese is delicious with just the right amount of bite. I have tried several entrees, though after choosing the Pork Belly Bowl, I have not ordered anything else. It is just that good! I also have to make special mention to Sarah and Meg. They were extremely kind and went above and beyond in their interactions with my toddler on Valentine's Day. Thank you both!

The had a good variety of merch when you walk in, super cute, and lots of to-go beverages as well. Plenty of video games to choose from too. They had a lot of cool artwork on the wall! I'd love to buy it all! We had the bbq platter with brisket and 1/2 rack of ribs (up charge of $5) with a side of waffle fries and fruit. The waffles fries were great, crispy and seasoned well. Fruit was fresh. Brisket was good with the firecracker bbq sauce, however, the wings had WAY too much pepper on them and it was all I could taste. The pork rinds with bleu cheese mousse was to die for! 10/10. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating - clean bathrooms. Great spot!

It took three of them to take one order for one person. Nobody knew what they were doing. I paid almost $14 for a jalapeño cheeseburger large sized meal. They gave me my order number to place on my table and a large cup for my drink. It took them almost 15 minutes to get me my food and I had to walk up front to ask about it. Bear in mind there was only one other person in there in front of me. When I got my food, my hamburger was cold and my fries were not far behind that. I should've gone back and asked for a new hamburger, but I was so disgusted by the ignorance and lack of training of the staff that I just wanted to eat something and leave the restaurant. The restaurant itself was very very clean and as I said before, obviously very new. I stopped at the bathroom before I left. But for a new building and a bathroom that looked clean, the whole bathroom smelled like urine. I also have to say they added pickles to a hamburger that wasn't supposed to have pickles and I had to take them off before I ate my cold hamburger. I have eaten that several other Whataburger in different towns and had a good experience. This Whataburger in Griffin, Georgia, clearly has bad training and bad management and it is just opened. I will never be back to this Whataburger again. I had to repeat four times what I did not want on my hamburger. And that's with three of them standing there helping each other. Avoid this location of Whataburger at all costs.
