The food did not look appealing at all. I ordered a hamburger. The bun looked stale, and the cheese was not melted on the hamburger. The hamburger tasted dry. My friend ordered chicken dinner, which also looked although it was a humongous piece of chicken. It's not my cup of tea. She ran my card but seemed a little nervous. Added a tip and didn't even say thank you! This is not a place I would recommend due to the bland tasing food.

I am extremely glad I did today and can't wait to come back again. I understand it is an oyster house, but it is in Carrollton which is not near a large body of water. That being said, I was extraordinarily surprised at how fresh and delicious the raw oysters were and I feel the price is quite fair. Today I enjoyed the Tulane Avenue Shrimp as my entrée from the appetizers menu. The shrimp were tender and I loved all of the flavor. The little crusty pieces of bread that came with it were perfect for soaking up the sauce. It was a very large appetizer. I also had a cup of the gumbo that came with some garlic bread. The gumbo for me was just OK. I enjoyed it and liked the flavor, but it felt more like a savory stew to me than a gumbo. The service was good and friendly. I completely understand the aesthetic inside; however, the wooden benches are not very comfortable. That's just a minor preference for me. Overall this place is a hidden gem.

The restaurant is clean and the waitresses are very nice. I think the majority of the problem is the food takes FOREVER to come out. And the kicker is they automatically charge 20% gratuity before you even sit down and then they text your tip as well so for those two last reasons we will not be back.

Not a "we'll be right with you," not a "sorry for the wait," nothing. What makes it even worse is that the employees seemed far more interested in standing around the bar and pouring drinks than taking care of customers who were waiting for their food. Apparently, actually helping customers who have already paid for their meals wasn't a priority. Being busy is one thing. Completely ignoring someone standing right in front of you is another. Basic customer service isn't complicated: acknowledge the customer, communicate, and take care of them. This place managed to fail at all three. My wife shouldn't have to stand there feeling invisible just to pick up a pizza she already ordered. If this is how customers are treated when they walk through the door, we'll gladly take our business somewhere else. Absolutely unacceptable. We won't be back

The minute we sat down and opened the silverware we observed that the forks were disgusting. Nasty not washed. Food particles etc. we immediately asked for a replacement... Then of course I'm uneasy now but I sat through it. Not wanting to disappoint my kids. I looked over at the light fixture on our table and seen how nasty, sticky and dusty it was... I still sat through it. We ordered our food, drinks and spinach dip appetizer. Spinach dip came out looking great. My family begin to eat and then my daughter mouth dropped and she had something blue stuck in her teeth... yes, blue!! It was some sort of plastic... shared it with the waiter. He said "oh that's plastic from our vegetable container, I can get you another one". No!! Totally unacceptable, what if my child would have swallowed it?? Then comes the entree!! We all ordered various cuts of steak... out of four steaks only one was cooked correctly. We asked for medium well. Our steaks were bleeding!! We could have sent it back but it was late and at this point I'm done... the lobster and asparagus was about the only thing good. Then my family told them it was my birthday ( I'm assuming when I went to the bathroom) he came out with a cheesecake and gave it to my daughter.. then he gave a melted sundae and said this is for your birthday... no happy birthday or nothing!! Oh , I forgot to mention my drink. I ordered this spiked strawberry lemonade. It was supposed to have an infused strawberry... It wasn't on my drink so I asked about it.... The waiter said "well there was none at the bar, I can go find one in the back".... Excuse me??? Yes!!! This was my experience. I'm done!!! Never again!! You would think a manager would have came out after the plastic.... Nothing!!!
