The food was good but the prices sure have increased. The service was OK when my granddaughter and I had breakfast there. They weren't very busy but the waitress, though somewhat efficient, seemed interested in something else. Granddaughter loved the waffle and sausage she had, and my breakfast was good - especially the hash browns, but with tip it was thirty bucks for 1 waffle 1 coffee 2 scrambled eggs hash browns and toast. Plus it was only 40 degrees outside and they had the air conditioning on? We were freezing in there at 10 am. Not sure what that was all about but I'll give it a miss on my next visit. read more

By far the best Waffle House I ever been to, and the best service I've received from any restaurant. I sat at the bar stools, after getting a home style "Good morning!" From everyone working. My server was Kaleb and idk if this guy is a manager or owner but he definitely should be, showing me the cheaper way to get the meal I wanted and would fix it if need. It seemed like they knew everyone that came in and even saying their farewells when ppl left. Hell I felt like they knew me and it was first time being there ! This is the nicest waffle house I've ever been in. Much cleaner than the ones I've been in any place in Texas and better managed and nicer staff. Staff: the greatest. Food: can't beat WH for waffles and the grits surprisingly had enough salt! The problem is, as it always seems to be at any WH I've been to, is a lack of basic cleanliness. I've been to many across several states and the common theme is a huge lack of attention to detail which invariably translates to the place looking dirty. I know it's human nature to start "unseeing" something after it's been the same for a while so could this have something to do with it? I'm tempted to suggest every WH institute the remarkably successful nursery school trick of using chore charts. Naming a specific thing to do every half hour, such as checking to see if the trash is overflowing, can make it seem less intimidating than simply ordering to keep things clean. Even when things are busy, there is always a minute to wipe down a table that's not occupied or replace a box of gloves that looks like chili dripped all over it. And that really, really dirty rag sitting over sticks of butter? Customers can see it so take a second to ditch it. Floors by the grill that look dangerously wet and are decorated with dirty paper towels, food bits, and dropped forks can quickly kill anyone's appetite. Wondering about the bathrooms? Don't look at me-- I've never ventured into a WH bathroom. I'm not knocking WH -- it is a quintessential American diner where you KNOW you'll get a great waffle. That's a pretty good endorsement. But I truly think a nation-wide emphasis on keeping up with basic cleanliness, with anonymous spot checkers for help, would lift WH from a 3 star to a 5 star experience read more

This was the worst Waffle House experience I've ever had. I can't say if the food was good or not, because after sitting at the bar for 12 minutes, I ended up walking out. I went in a little after 2am on a Wednesday night, so it was moderately busy with the post-bar crowd. I came in, and sat down at the bar, at which point the server said to me from behind the counter, "It's gonna be a while," in a snarky tone. The counter still had the dirty dishes from the last customers, which weren't cleared during the time I was there. I get that they were busy, but the waitress had a piss-poor attitude, and was standing around waiting for orders to come up instead of clearing dishes or even asking me if I wanted a drink. There were only 6 customers and they were all talking extremely loud across the restaurant. Kept complaining about their work schedule. Terrible service, dirty establishment, rude employees...well, rude to customers anyway, they are more interested in flirting and playing with each other!!! We are traveling on a road trip and it took us forever to convince my son in law to stop so we really wanted to eat and get back on the road, but they waited over 20 minutes before even calling back the order to the cooks! But they seemed to have plenty of time to hang around and chat about inappropriate topics in the hearing range of customers!! The food came out burned and inedible!! The service here makes it worth coming. We stayed the night at a nearby hotel but slept in and missed breakfast. The Waffle House was right across the way and we are very satisfied with the service. The food was great but the service was awful. I've never felt more uncomfortable somewhere eating. We sat at the tall chairs and my waiter (Nicole) was very standoffish and acted as if everything my brother and I ordered was a chore. I am a server myself so I understand that some days are rough and some customers can be difficult but we we walked in excited to eat and with no difficult orders. The people beside us asked her for a fork and she acted like it was one of the hardest things to do. She rolled her eyes, huffed, and didn't even say a word to acknowledge she had heard them. But she did get a fork and hand it to them. On the plus side, highly recommend the pecan waffle and the other two ladies serving seemed very personable so maybe next time I'll just sit in a different section. I'm writing this review as I'm sitting here and she seems to have lightened up a little...finally saw a half smile, maybe she just had a rough day but still no way to treat your customers who are tipping you. I'll still tip 15-20% because I know how stressful the industry can be and this is her paycheck. read more

Wouldn't even give one star!!! Worse service ever there was only one couple sitting in there when we went in. Got drinks ordered and when we got our plates our waiter never came back to table to check on us sat 10 minutes with no refill!! Left a half a plate of food because of no refill was asked if we needed something said yes refills and nothing hit up to go pay then was asked if still wanted refill! On top of that had to wait on ticket! The two waiters were sitting at s table talking the whole time! Guess that conversation was more important than the tip he lost!!! read more
