I first visited to discuss a surgical procedure for my facial nerve. Even with me traveling here from across the country, everything was a well orchestrated symphony. The electronic check in systems gave me exactly what I needed to know, and told me precisely where to go. When I arrived, they even told me where I needed to sit for when I'd be called back. The care team took their time with me and I had all my questions answered and we agreed on next steps. They even got me in, same day, to talk to a physical therapist, since I was from out of town.

What I will describe to you is the phone system, the RN or MD calls you, and leaves a VM with the phone number to call back. Alas, you cannot call the number that is provided. I have a heart procedure scheduled, and you would think proper care would involve the hospital providing the patient with an important phone number to call in the VM. Of course, perhaps I am not an international patient who pays cash?? This practice should stop, full stop. I was told by a kind receptionist that the nurse ( who called 4 times within 10 minutes while I was teaching) leaving an accurate phone number to call back, was possibly a HIPA violation. What is going on here? This is ridiculous! Is leaving the correct number a HIPA violation, I think not. If so, how about a modern variation TEXT me the proper information, that is used with many Mayo correspondence. The app doesn't help, when responding to the updated time that was described in the VM. I believe I am not the only person experiencing this problem. Too big to fail ? Maybe

I would like to start by saying this is not directed at any of the dental assistants i have worked…read morewith over the years I have been a patient at the Rochester MN. location. They were always extremely helpful with scheduling and very polite and kind. I started my my implant journey in 2019 . I was told that most of my top teeth were bad and i was a perfect candidate for dental implants. So i spent the 11k and got implants. And since 2019 it has been an absolute disaster. I broke my first plate within the first year of having implants. I thought " well that could happen no biggie see how it goes". shortly after that i had an implant fall out. So since 2019 i have broke 6 denture implant plates and out of 5 implant posts 2 are left in my mouth . 3 have fallen out/ pushed out etc. When they sell you on this process they tell you it's a lifetime warranty on everything what they don't tell you is when the dentist decides to sell his practice to another dentist the buyer doesn't have to stand behind the lifetime warranty. It's a scam and a terribly cheap product. To my knowledge the rochester location has changed hands at least 3 times since 2019. so the warranty means nothing . I have been in business for myself as a small business owner for almost 30 years, successfully i might add. And i have never felt so financially or emotionally assaulted or embarrassed for doing business with an organization that knows their selling a bad product and they are taking advantage of people that just want a nice smile. Since i quit doing business at affordable dentures i have established care at a local dentist and they have straighten up what they could with helping me with good quality dentures . I no longer use my implants. I have been putting off writing this review for some time probably just avoiding the negative feeling it gives me to write it. But after last night when my 3rd implant pushed its way out i thought it was time. If i can save someone else from the anguish and horrible experience i had it's worth it to write the review . I would have been better off taking that 11,000 dollars and donating it to a respectable charity . And there was also around another 5,000 dollars for additional plates that i had to purchase because of the business getting sold to other dentist that didn't want to cover the LIFETIME warranty that really doesn't exist. This place screwed my boyfriend over; he had to have some of his teeth pulled out & was told his…read moretemporary flipper/teeth could be used for eating until he was healed from the oral surgery & he had his new permanent put in. After his surgery the oral surgeon told him to come back to the dentist to have it adjusted because it wasn't fitting right. We took him in the next day & they said they couldn't do anything to fix the flipper & that he could not use it to eat. They said it's too late to make him a new one that will fit correctly & even if they could he'd have to pay $3,000!! Are you kidding me?! This is unacceptable! They made a mold of his teeth before he had surgery telling him they would make a flipper that would fit & he could use for eating, now he can only wear them when he goes to work. That means no eating out; he can't eat regular food for 4-6 months?! Unacceptable!! They need to make this right! But they won't! Do not go to this dental office! I already cancelled my future appointment with them. After what they've done, I wouldn't trust them with my teeth or mouth & you shouldn't either! We're extremely angry & disappointed!

They are also all very easy to talk to and it's very natural making conversation. Steve, the hygienist, is extremely friendly and thorough with counseling about addressing my tooth sensitivity. He is very attentive in ensuring that my cleaning is comfortable. Dr. Oestriech (pronounced A-Strike) is absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough good things. She is very thorough and involves you in your care so that you understand the rationale for her plan. Unfortunately, I had to get cavities addressed (I haven't had a cavity for more than 10 years), but with my care in her hands, Dr. Oestriech made the process much more bearable, and she let me look at pictures she took of my teeth before and after the procedure. She also went through what to expect in the coming days post-procedure, and was very careful to shave the fillings so that they were comfortable and did not awkwardly impact my bite. One thing I love about getting my care with Dr. Oestriech is that she remembers what's important to me- a stainless smile. I walked around for months with a stain that would not leave. Dr. Oestriech cleaned it off beautifully and ever since, has made a point to follow up with it, making one my top priorities, her priority. All around, my experience with the staff here has been great. They are all very attentive and dedicated to providing top notch care and making you feel welcome. The billing experience was also extremely transparent with the staff providing an estimate of the procedure up front from insurance before your appointment, and a delineation of all the tasks and services that are being billed. If you're looking for a detailed dentist who will involve you in your care and makes note of, and owns resolving your concerns, look no further- I highly recommend Dr. Oestriech and the crew here!
