Barbershops used to be a place for the guys to have a laugh and hang out. Illustrated Barber has that vibe. I'm honestly beyond frustrated. My boyfriend has been coming here for months and has never had an…read moreissue. What he got instead was the exact opposite of what he asked for. He asked for the sides cleaned up and some extra length kept on the top. The barber even asked whether he wanted it like the guy before him, and my boyfriend specified no, that was way too short. The result was way too much taken off and a haircut that looked like a taper fade instead of the flow cut my boyfriend likes to maintain. He left extremely disappointed and was offered no apology, just "I thought that's what you wanted" and still charged him. This was a really upsetting experience, especially from a place that's been reliable in the past. If I could give less than 1 star I would. We won't be coming back or recommending this place to anyone else. We should have listened to the negative reviews.

He took the time to assess my son's haircut, explain what could realistically be corrected, and carefully work to improve the damage caused by a previous barber. What impressed us most was his honesty and attention to detail. Rather than making promises he couldn't keep, Fouad explained that additional growth would be necessary before the haircut could be fully corrected. His skill, professionalism, and dedication were greatly appreciated, especially considering his very busy schedule. We are extremely grateful that he made time for my son and look forward to returning as his hair continues to grow out. I highly recommend Fouad to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, talented barber who truly cares about his clients!

The supposedly 30-minute appointment for $45 took less than 15 minutes, with no check to see whether the cut needed refinement. Just because someone had walked in during our visit doesn't mean you have to rush your work with your scheduled client. That is a big NO. You will lose clients with your attitude of trying to get extra people in within our allotted time; what matters to you. You completely lost us and our respect. Not to mention, you demand a tip of 27% to 50% on top of your charge. Unbelievable!!!

If you are wanting to find a barber that asks you many questions and gets to know what you specifically want, while being having a good conversation this is the place for you. On this day, I waited for 2.5 hours while I watched the customers get personalized hair cuts that were exactly what they were looking for. It was more of a hang out than it was a barber shop the way it felt. It was very cool. Finally it was my turn in the chair. I was asked many questions before the cut even started. This wasn't one of those pick a number of the hair cut you want off the wall. This was tell me what you like and want kind of place. I loved it. I got my hair cut high and tight on the sides and my man bush aka my hill jack beard tamed and sculpted. It really was a great experience. I will go back at some point when I need my beard trimmed up again. This is something I can't do for myself. Since it was my first time here and I had waited so long, I was given a discount on the cut and shave which I gladly returned as a nice tip. If you need a hair cut or a beard trim, check this place out. They will really take care of you.
