It can't be that hard to run the blower and get rid of all those fallen leaves. There were so many they were probably leave left from last fall . And another reason the fun was taken away. They allowed a group of five play that had no etiquette as one of them was setting up a tripod to video their terrible play. And there is another group of five with only one bag between them all. They should've enforced renting clubs from them. Unfortunate the lack of care makes this probably one of the worst courses to try really really good spot was the greens look like they were well kept.

Getting a tee time is impossible even with a city card. Certain groups already got caught cheating the system to where the same people were getting the tee times. And I think it's still happening The last person caught with having bots and a system that took up all the tee times was Korean and it may still be happening because 95% of the groups with tee times out here are Korean. So the city needs to really look into it again, because the city card is pointless if you can't get a tee time even if you're logged in at the exact time they come out. But yet they charge you for the card, that really gets you nothing... BUT you can always come out and wait to hours and get on, then end up behind those groups that hit it short 150-200 yards, but pkay from the blue tees and blacks tees. Six hour round, plus two hour wait, ends up being an 8 hour round. Can't get tee times online! Long wait if you show up! Long round if you get on! There's no Marshall, there's nobody managing the course. So everyone is on their own, taking all the time in the world...people say "it's the city" but why does our city not care? I'll keep trying to get a time, but I've been trying for years....

After we had a very pleasant time, we left without realizing that I left my purse behind. It was 2 days before I discovered that I didn't have my wallet in my possession. I activated Tile app and it showed that my wallet/purse is at the golf course. I was very happy that golf shop kept it and everything was intact. It was rare these days to find such honest people. I felt extremely lucky. I think that they deserve a mention and I will definitely go back.

I've been playing golf at Griffith Park for my entire golf life. That says a lot when I'd come here…read morefor high school tournaments back in the early 90's when Jerry Barber Sr. was still alive and running everything. When he was around, it seemed like everything was good. Years and years after his son and I think grandson took over, the driving range went to crap. Now fast forward to 2017. The City of LA has taken over the driving range, put in new driving range mats, a tons of new range balls and simplified the range ball machines. It's a good start. The range itself still needs a lot of TLC...but that'll take some work. The old Barber golf shop has also changed ownership. As of 8/2017, the remodeling and reconstruction of the golf shop is in progress. Hopefully it'll be nice. I'm excited for the city to take over. Griffith Park driving range is really close to my house, been coming here for over 25 years or so with my pops, now I bring my son out to hit balls. I'm looking forward to a revamped city owned driving range. Crossing my fingers. Come for Wilson and Harding courses also. And don't forget the beer and chicken wings at the little restaurant.

On PAR with other local courses in the area…read more Well maintained fairways and greens although my golf balls found every opportunity to hide behind massive trees. The fairways are wide and very forgiving. Great for beginner golfers. Lots of trees line the fairways and the terrain is hilly making the course scenic to some extent but may give you lies where you are slanting up or down on your swing. I enjoyed the course and would come back again. Love the local wildlife on the course too. Saw some deer, lots of coyotes, and tons of bunnies...but sadly no BIRDIEs for me. un-FORE-tunately shot a high round for me, but I'll be back and better than ever!

She's a beginner, so she liked how private it was so she could practice without the fear of judgment. The team here are also top notch! Had an awesome time at Perfect Par! It was great to have a private space to practice without any…read moredistractions and the bay itself is huge and super nice. The sim tech was a game-changer--showing me an instant replay (on the grass!!) of my club face and impact, which made it super easy to tweak my swing right away. I can see this being the perfect spot to bring a coach, especially when the range is crowded or noisy. As a beginner, I sometimes feel a bit self-conscious getting coaching feedback at the range... so this was a great change of pace! I also had so much fun with the Puttview--it's a great way to practice putting differently (my fave games were Putt Pong and Darts). Plus, it was nice to relax in the lobby area after practicing and I definitely took advantage of the snack bar LOL. I was initially worried about parking, but there was actually tons of street parking right out front or just a block away on the residential streets. Overall, highly recommend whether it's for solo practicing, golf lessons with a coach, or socializing with friends!
