Tried this new place in the area, and it was delicious! I ordered through the app, but unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to get the $5 happy hour special. I ordered the Red Card Combo, which came with a Watermelon Lemonade Boba, chili dumplings, and a WaBa Chicken & Steak Plate with rice, your choice of veggies, and a dumpling. The Bom Bom sauce is spicy and definitely has a kick to it. Even the teriyaki sauce packets were really tasty. The drink was sweet and refreshing, although they unfortunately didn't have any boba straws available at the time. Overall, I'd definitely come back! The staff was friendly and helpful at pick up. Lunch time and was looking for a place close by to try and this place was closest! My hubby and I entered and ordered via their self serve kiosk. We ordered 2 chicken and steak veggie bowls and one chicken plate with veggie and dumplings. We took everything to go and once we arrived at my sister's house everything was still fresh, hot and neatly packed. Tbh I didn't expect much... but I was wrong! First bite the rice was steamed perfectly and so soft the proteins; steak and chicken were so tender and had sooooo much flavor!!! The boom boom sauce was AMAZING!!!! The veggies were good!!! The portions looked small but we were stuffed!!! Everything was delicious!!! Would definitely return and would love to try their tacos! Highly recommend, my hubby said he could eat this everyday! I just wanted to take a moment to recognize Enrique, the manager at Waba Grill. He is honestly amazing. From the moment we walked in, his energy and attitude stood out right away. He was super friendly, attentive, and made sure everyone felt welcomed. What really impressed me is how he goes above and beyond, not just managing, but actively helping out on the floor. Service was great my food wasn't steaming hot so the chef made it extra hot. The location was clean and we maintained. 5 stars for making it right . This is a fantastic pick when you are craving fresh, delicious food that is quick and reasonable! Enjoyed a take-out order for the family, and wow does it check every single box! I am a huge fan of the Plantspired Plate-which has what looks like steak pieces, grilled- yet it's plant based. I love it! The tofu bowl has such tender, soft, delicate pieces, topped with yummy sauce! The sides of rice and veggies are fresh, and complement the entree beautifully. The chicken plate is a favorite of the family- great texture and flavor too! The dumplings are super fresh, tender on the inside with a nice grill crisp outside. And that Waba Sauce- yes, yes, yes! Love it! They totally have additional sauce options too- sweet, savory, or spicy- I've tried them all, and it depends on the dish- but original Waba is my Go-to no matter what! In Clovis for XMas celebration. Stopped here for a quick snack after shopping at Tractor Supply Co. Ambiance Located in new strip mall in Clovis. Customer Service A bit disorganized, two cashiers also preparing meals, another person preparing meals. They were very slow but friendly. They were not efficient but trying. Chicken over brown rice. Chicken was very good and they don't charge extra for brown rice, I love brown rice. Pot stickers small just ok. Salad not crisp. They forgot to give me salad dressing, I asked for it and it was sesame seed dressing, this was very good. This place does not deserve low ratings. I would return. read more

In all fairness i have to say my experience wasn't like the other reviews. I was in the area and I looked this place up on Yelp. I was excited to try the salmon bowl. I walked in and immediately felt a weird vibe. Maybe the because the place was empty. so I did a quick pivot and just ordered the smallest and easiest thing I could...potstickers. Let me say clearly that timing is everything and it could have been me but I did not want to bother them with a full order. As I ordered the potstickers I saw him grab them and toss them into a paper bowl. They had already been cooked. The cashier told me they would take a few minutes but she was surprised too when they were there. Needless to say they were ice cold. So perhaps someone ordered and changed their mind? I don't know. I didn't say anything. They both left to go to the back. I never got a " thanks for coming in!" Or " how was it?!" It was just odd. I think I just ran into a rare moment in time when things didn't line up for this place based on the reviews. I've had my share of bad days so I am careful not to judge. You never know what's going on in someone's life. With that said, I'm going to try this place again. And I hope management reads this as a way to improve. I went to the Wanna Grill in Clovis today. I was welcomed by Enrique, he was friendly. Once I said to him "I've never been here. He throughly and quickly ran down their menu and how best to order. I left with a steak and chicken veggie bowl, and a 5 piece pot stickers. The steak has a Smokie flavor which reminds me of my Father's BBQ, both steak and chicken were tender and tasty. I tried the WaBa sauce it is tangy and has some heat but so worth it. The dumplings were flavorful with and without the Boom boom sauce. Enrique you and your staff have won over a new customer. WaBa Grill in Clovis is extremely scammy and will take your money and claim they have "new management" and can't cancel orders. Ordered ahead of time and called to cancel and they gave me some "story" about how they changed management (mid-day?) and couldn't give me a refund. A very scammy business model if they intend to continue with that. read more

Not bad, not good, and I won't be back. So the first thing I noticed when I walked inside was how loud the music was playing. It was overly loud. I went to the front counter to order and wasn't sure if I was supposed to use the electronic kiosk, or order directly from a cashier. I asked the lady behind the counter and she wasn't particularly friendly. She motioned to the kiosk which I was then able to use to place my order fairly seamlessly. I ordered a spicy chicken bowl with white rice and had the option to add vegetables, which I chose to do. According to the ordering kiosk, the bowl was to come with broccoli, shredded cabbage and shredded carrots. I sat at a nearby table while I waited for my order. Having worked in restaurant kitchens for many years, I watched the cooks and other employees and saw that the kitchen was highly disorganized, and was not by any means running smoothly. After about 15 minutes, they called my name and I got my tray with the food on it. After sitting back down at a table, I saw that one of the two side sauces that I had ordered, as well as the side of green onions that I had ordered, were not there. I went back to the front counter and asked for them, but due to the music being so loud the employee couldn't hear me. I had to raise my voice in order for him to hear me, and then he asked me a question that I couldn't hear because of music. He had to raise his voice just for me to hear his question. It then took him a while to find the green onions because they evidently were not in the refrigerator that he was looking in, and he disappeared to the back. After I got my sauce and green onions, I went back to my table and took the lid off of the bowl that I had ordered. Two things immediately struck me. One was the very small amount of protein that was actually in the bowl on top of a whole bunch of rice. I had seen the cooks weighing the chicken before putting it in the bowls, which I assume is just for consistency between orders. I'm guessing though that they only use at the very most, 3 ounces of chicken per order. The second thing I noticed is that although there was supposed to be broccoli, there wasn't any. Instead, there were edamame. For those who have never eaten edamame, the husks are not edible and the beans on the inside have to be removed from the husk in order to be eaten. So I had to use my fingers to remove the edamame from the bowl and the rice just to eat them. I wasn't planning to have to use my hands to eat part of my rice bowl. The cabbage and carrots that were in the bowl was essentially a bagged coleslaw mix. The flavor of the chicken and overall bowl was quite underwhelming and completely midline average. It wasn't bad, but it certainly was not memorable or anything that I would ever crave. In fact, it reminded me very similarly of a teriyaki chicken bowl that I recently bought at a hospital cafeteria. Overall, the food I had at this WaBa Grill was mediocre, the protein was minimal, the advertised vegetables were different than what was served, and it was $13. Considering the bowl it was mainly white steamed rice, an odd assortment of vegetables and plain tasting chicken, I will not be back. Plus, it was just too darn loud in there. read more
