we aren't from around here so we didn't know yhe hours and we showed up 30 minutes before closing. Well al 8:29(it closes at 8:30) a male employee told us "we close in one minute" and so we asked(I was feeding my baby but we were all almost done) "oh do ate you kicking us out?" and the male employee responded "yeah you have one minute" in a rude tone and went to the back where he cut the music and we could clearly hear him telling his female coworker he told us to leave already. we will never come back yo this location to these disrespectful employees. i understand they were closing but the male employee also locked the door on us so we had to unlock it ourselves to leave. Don't come to this location to get food if it's after 8pm, they are so worried about closing the store to go home that 30 mins prior to closing they will tell you that you can only order food to go & not dine in. I paid for my food at 8:09pm & was told we could not stay inside to eat - even though there were other customers still finishing eating inside. I stayed inside until 8:20pm watching them close and clean up. They told multiple guests that ordered food after me the same thing. Too bad you kick your customers out. Check #232 I certainly hope the lady that rang me up was not the store manager & if that is the case, I hope the corporate office or district manager receives this review. read more

I love WaBa grill. Always go the Palm Springs location. They are fantastic there. Won't be going back to this location in Beaumont. I ordered 1 chicken rice bowl to go. Waited 25 minutes. I spoke to the manager and she said "I'm understaffed". I said seriously I see 7 employees standing in front of me right now and you can't get one rice bowl out the door?! She said "here is a cup for you to have complimentary water"!!!! Oh my gosh! I don't want water I want my rice bowl!!!! read more

Customer service needs improvement. Or hire employees that actually want to work. My first time at this location and we had 4 bowls to order for the family. After each bowl ordered, the cashier quickly says, "anything else?!" With a rude tone. So heads up, if you order more than one bowl, give them notice of how many bowls you're going to order so they are aware. Hopefully this heads up will get them to avoid the rude, "anything else?!" remark. The floors are sticky, the counter is filthy. The WaBa Grill location on Vermont in Hollywood is a lot cleaner than this location. I expected the opposite. read more

I had the worst food experience ever, the tall skinny white guy who i believe is the manager was arguing with his employee the latino fellow about something that the manager did wrong and he kept pushing my order to the side and yelling at the latino fellow about mistakes that the white fellow actually made, i was so appalled it took 40 minutes for my chicken bowl, i had already paid and i walked out just to avoid all of this, without my meal. that poor latino fellow was doing his job while his manager was scolding him for no reason putting the blame on the worker, I will NEVER return to this place again because of that experience. read more

Terrible service and food. The cashier, Bella, is an idiot who told me they had no avocado for my pick up order but when my sister went and picked up the food she asked for avocado and the cashier gave it to her. Not only that but the cashier put me on hold forever and didn't even mute me so I heard her welcoming guests and then taking THEIR order while I was on hold. Then they wanna charge for sauce??? First stingy ass restaurant I heard does this. The portions there used to be good which is what I expect for a basic bowl and this time it was way less than what they were serving before. We've been visiting this location since it's opened and have never had a bad experience until today. As I came in to pick up my mobile order, manager Bella was extremely rude and unprofessional. After receiving my order, Bella proceeded to ask if I wanted chili sauce or soy sauce. I told her no and asked if I could get extra sauce that was in my bowl. She cut me off and asked me again if I wanted the chili/soy sauce so I told her again no, just the sauce that comes in my bowl. She proceeded to cut me off once again and even went as far as slowing her voice down (as if I didn't speak English) and AGAIN, asked if I wanted the CHILI...OR...SOY SAUCE. At this point I became extremely frustrated with her tone and how she tried to speak to me as if I were incompetent of understanding what was being asked, and I asked what her problem was. She stayed silent, handed me my sauces and went on to assist the next customer that just walked in. Very disappointed that this is the type of service coming from a MANAGER. I've been working customer service for years, and THAT IS NOT how you speak to your customers or guests. I get that we are all tired and grouchy, but that's what your breaks are for. Take it out on the meat, not the customer coming to you for a service/meal. read more

Food was good, but they close at 8:30 and run out of food before 8:30. It was 8:15 Friday and they were out of rice and wouldn't allow people to eat in the dining room. Almost felt like people trying to give them $ were inconveniencing them. The 3 stars is for the food being good. read more

We have always enjoyed coming to the Beaumont location but today is unforgettable. When we went for lunch, one of our friends found a cockroach inside her chicken bowl. I brought it immediately to the counter and told the cashier about it. The chicken bowl was replaced and the cashier told me that they clean the place daily. If this is true, we don't know how the cockroach ended up in our friend's meal. We certainly did not put it there. All of us did not finish our food as we lost our appetite in sight of the cockroach. We should have requested for a refund of our meals but we were about half way done eating. I don't know if I ever will come back to this place. The Beaumont location definitely do not deserve an "A" rating. I should have taken a picture before exchanging it. Most of their employees were young folks and did not seem to care or be apologetic about the whole situation. Before this happened, I asked a female employee if she can put out more jalapeño peppers out in the counter because the container had mostly carrots in them. She told that this is how it comes and most folks pick the jalapeños only and leave the carrots behind. If this was the case, they should have disposed the carrots and put out a new batch. I was at this same location a couple of days ago and faced a similar situation. read more

They have a special right now where you get a chicken or beef bowl with your choice of steamed white or brown rice and also a drink for 5 bucks...!!!! You definitely can't beat that. I always give restaurants second chances and this was the last time, we ordered $52 worth of food today, the receipt states extra sauce. We picked up and ask for sauce and was told it was in the bags, guess I should have checked myself. NO sauce the chicken is so over cooked and dry you need the sauce. I've had a really good experience with them especially being a newer restaurant in town. Every time I go everyone is really nice and always greets me. As far as the food goes the waba plate or bowl is my go-to but I love there beef short ribs. I've gone almost everyday and will continue to go to my favorite place to eat a healthy meal. read more

We live near by and waited for the new place to work out the shortcomings. We'll that didn't work. If you want Waba Grill, go to Yucaipa or Highland. I got a bowl of rice, very little meat, and very few condiments. There was no Kimchi, no Wasabi, every few additions. Hot sauce, big deal. Very disappointed. read more

Ordered tofu veggie bowl and was served mostly rice with a few small pieces of burnt tofu and minimal vegetables. Overall all orders were mostly a pile of white rice, the tofu was the worst with burnt scraps of tofu. The Miso soup came was half filled cup of broth only. The Kale salad had absolutely no kale in it. When I told them they said they 'ran out.' Just lettuce as a replacement, no dressing. They didn't notify me when I ordered nor did they take it back nor change the menu so it wasn't false advertising as I suggested. This chain is not run well. The get a 1 for numerous issues and lack of response to issues. There are plenty of other wabas until this one gets it together. Further, the green onions are in one big pile and seems to me in area easilly contaminated. read more

We love Waba Grill and we were very excited when one open up in Banning/ Beaumont..the very first time I ordered a chicken bowl and there was not a lot of chicken ..i told the guy he said all the chicken is weighted out on how much we give..but every other Waba Grill we went to they gave us a lot of meat..then we went back one night it was 30 mins before closing and they all seem to have attitudes and I didn't want to make their work life any harder so I asked can u make 7 chicken bowls..the girl said no we only have maybe enough to make two more bowls so I said ok and walked out which made me mad cuz I really wanted it and they didn't want to take my money which I was about to drop 80. Then because I love it so much I decide to go back which I sent husband to go..and he said that the lady told him they didn't have white rice ..wth u mean..lmao..so apparently the manager heard this girl say that and had to go back there herself to make the rice..and when I ate the rice it was not cooked all the way..plus my husband had to wait all that extra time for the rice..its sad they have young ppl working there that don't want to work and do their job..i can say I won't be back to this location..we have been to the Redlands and Yucaipa one and they were excellent..so sad we have to travel out of town to go to one just because the one in our town sucks! They need all new management and employees and I hope the ppl that own this place see this and make a change because you are losing out on so much more money you can be making..thank u read more

The food is good but the customer service is awful. I would always go in this restaraunt for a rib plate but they discontinued that menu item shortly after they opened for business. They close 30min-1hr earlier than any other wabagrill in a neighboring city. All of the chairs in the lobby are already upside down on the table 30min-1hr prior to their closing time. I observed one of their female supervisors handling food without wearing a hat or hairnet to prevent hair from getting in the food. I live 5 minutes from this location and they refuse to accept phone-in pick up orders 30 minutes prior to closing. I have spent a lot of money at this restaurant in the short time that it has been open and i have always been given the impression that they don't want my business. read more

this waba grill has been stepping up its game. i came here a couple months ago and wasnt impressed (rice was very soggy and tofu was bland) but i came in today for a quick bite to eat and im kind of glad i did. the cashier greeted me with a kind smile and took my order quickly. the food came out fast and honestly it looked like any other waba bowl. i reluctantly took a bite, thinking that it would be the same as last time. it wasnt bad, although they gave me the wrong sauce; i told one of the managers and he made me a new bowl AND gave me some avocado on top. super impressed by this young man's handling of the situation as he seemed a bit on the younger side. i wish i got his name before i left but i couldnt see his name tag. anyways the rice was fine and it was cooked perfectly this time. the bathrooms were clean and kept together well despite there being sketchy people around (although it was late at night so i dont blame them). overall a good experience and they definitely redeemed themselves with this one! will come back soon. read more
