Within 30 minutes, they were arguing so loudly that I was concerned and peeked out to make sure the fight didn't escalate. They continued yelling at each other for about 10 minutes until the woman came inside to work. I found her later sitting on my furniture and talking on the phone. The man came inside eventually and as they were cleaning an office, I heard something break. I came in to check, she said nothing broke, I questioned again because of the noise I'd heard and the man showed me that the woman had broken some window inserts but he promised he could fix it. As I was walking out of the room, the woman made a derogatory noise behind my back. Before leaving the first day, the woman also dropped her heavy metal ladder on my hardwood floor. When I came in to check, she tried to shoo me out and insisted nothing happened. When I came inside the room anyway, she was visibly angry and annoyed that I didn't take her word for it, muttered under her breath and left. We requested the woman not return the next day. Everything went smoothly the following day but they missed a few windows and dislodged a flood light enough to break it. Another man came 3 days later, cleaned the windows they missed, said they couldn't possibly have broken the light, and demanded to be paid on the spot. Our paperwork clearly states we were to be billed and could pay within 10 days, but he insisted he be paid immediately. I wrote a check and showed him the paperwork when I handed him the check and he got heated and said we had already denied payment when the crew was there before (this was not true- the only time payment was discussed was when the first guy handed me the paperwork and checked "pay within 10 days"). He continued to argue even after I had given him the check and wouldn't leave until I closed the door. The quality of work was average at best, definitely overpriced. The customer service was supremely lacking. We will never use this company again.

Everyone we worked with throughout the process was very nice and helpful. But we did have several…read moreissues: 1) the install team showed up unannounced - one day we just arrived home to find that they were already working on our job. It wasn't their fault - someone from the office had left me a voicemail the day before asking if they could put us on the next day's schedule, but I didn't see it, so I never responded to confirm. Apparently, they are supposed to get confirmation before arriving, so this was an unfortunate mix-up. 2) prior to install we requested an update to our original quote, which the sales rep failed to pass along to the install team. This wouldn't have been a huge deal if we'd been home when they arrived but, as noted above, we had no idea they were coming. So they were halfway through the job already when we arrived home, and they had to re-do some of their work because they weren't aware of the update. They were very nice and understanding about that, and did the re-work as requested, but this could have been really bad if we hadn't happened to come home when we did and catch them in time. 3) the end result is ok but not great. The downspout should always be the lowest point of the gutter run (because gravity), but ours continue to tip down after the downspouts (only for a few feet before the run ends, but still. Also, the corner joints are pretty sloppy - there are gaps that have just been smeared with globs of caulking. Overall, the gutters look good from the ground and seem to be functioning well so far, so hopefully this is only a cosmetic issue. And again - the people at Aho are so nice and helpful! I still think I'd work with them again but would be very careful about planning and talking through the details. Hopefully they work some of these issues out in the future!
