The cashier was not well-trained and stumbled on ringing up the people in front of me, then had to call back-up to help her with my purchases. Total fan of this Ace Hardware because of their expert staff and excellent customer service…read more I've been to this location just a few times and other than today I knew I what I needed and finding it wasn't complicated. But today I had to fix a plumbing issue and needed expert help. I took pictures of my plumbing issue on my phone and went to Ace with the hope that I could show the pictures to someone and they could help, not expecting much though. I found the first employee and shared my pictures and issue to her and she sent me to their "resident plumber." Wow! This guy knew exactly what I needed to fix my problem. From the pictures I showed him he diagnosed my problem and showed me the parts I needed to fix it until I can get a plumber to ultimately fix the issue. This guy was an expert. And Ace had what I needed. Then I went over to look at the yard items and found a small bird feeder. A staff member saw me looking at the feeder and voluntarily told me that most of the feeders and related items were located at another location in the store and pointed me in the direction. She didn't have to do that but I'm glad she did because I would have not known about the location.

I expected the inside to look the same as other Home Depots but this branch was more well-lit and had a warm and inviting atmosphere, much like you see in television commercials. What makes this Depot stand out form the rest is the service. It sounded and looked like a fantasy at first with the cheerful employees with seemingly painted smiles but after a few visitations, it was clear that this Home Depot does care about its customers. A bit rare to to find now of days this store stands out in such a positive manner, it may beat out Lowes in the future.

The employee who helped me purchase paint on a weekend, while very friendly and pleasant, was not as knowledgeable as I would have expected. On a separate visit, I had an interaction with another employee, who - while pleasant - interacted with me, a female customer, completely differently than he did with the male customer he helped directly after me, which is off-putting, to say the least. Additionally, I think some of their merchandise has been on the shelf for awhile, and the quality has been compromised by the time the customer purchases and uses it (this happened to me with a tube of nail hole filler, which was dried out and came out the wrong end when I opened it for the first time). The employee who works the cash register on weekends may need some additional training - she made a mistake with our order, which she had no idea how to fix. It had to be rerung and took a long time to resolve. Overall, I will probably go back for future needs due to the convenience and small nature of the store, but with the expectation that it could be a hit-or-miss experience.
