Ok, so it's a gas station, nothing mind blowing…read more It has a convenience store and a car wash, both of which I've never used. It sits at the southeast corner of Hwy 100 and Layton, which makes it easily accessible from 3 directions. I gotta say, especially in this…read moreworld of divided political climate, the terrible things that plague our society, that this place, has actually took a bit of that away today. I believe the guy's name is Amann, I will tell the story now: I live in Sheboygan and work in Milwaukee. I got into my Jeep and started on my daily trek to work, and about 15 miles north of this place, my gas light comes on. So I pulled off and headed into this gas station. Upon my arrival, I realized that I had left my wallet on my night stand. I talked to Amann (sp?) and asked him if I could call my Fiance' and get my card number and have him run my card. There was no way I was going to make it back home, OR to work and I was in a REAL BIND. He informed me that the way I was going to do that, was not allowed. But he reached into his own pocket and offered me 20$, I only took 10. There is a bank branch where the tellers know me in the area towards my work. I was so floored that a complete stranger, would help a person out and keep them from getting stranded. It restored a bit of faith in humanity that day. I obviously stopped back in the next day and returned the money. I plan on sending some food that way. A small gesture in a world where things like that dont seem to happen anymore. A completely refreshing experience! Thank you again!

The handle was stuck but wasn't pumping, it took me a minute to get it unstuck to put it back then I went to a different pump and that handle also got stuck, but wasn't pumping the gas. It was easier to get unstuck and I restarted. The tap to pay was ruined on that one, but at least it didn't leak. There are no options that don't contain 10% ethanol which is no good...I don't want ethanol in my car. Some locations still do no ethanol. I also went to use the windshield wash and it stunk so bad like it hadn't been changed for 2 weeks, the water was definitely rancid. The other one had 2 handles in it and they were also stuck in the washer container. Everything I tried is stuck at this location. I will be avoiding this location now for gas needs.

I know that it is right off the highway, but it is very much used by everyday "Benders" as well. I like that the people working here are generally nice. The place is very clean and has a more modern feel than most other gas stations. I also noticed the Krispy Kreme doughnuts for sale next to the coffee machines... nice choice. The gas prices make me so peeved that I generally try to line up my fillups with when I will be in Milwaukee (I commute) as it is often up to 25 cents less per gallon. When I must fill up in West Bend, I only put enough in to get me back to Milwaukee. I would recommend people do the same, especially if you live or work out of town. If you go down Paradise Road a bit more, there are other cheaper options at the next round about.
