    I would strongly advise against renting from this company. We stayed with them for seven years, and…read morethe experience was incredibly frustrating, marked by massive rent hikes, awful maintenance handling, and ridiculous move-out policies. Skyrocketing Rent: Over our seven years, our rent was raised from $1,695 a month to $2,495 a month--a staggering 47.2% increase. The final straw came when they tried to hike it all the way up to $2,995 a month, which is when we finally walked away. For those steep price increases, you would expect premium service, but you get the exact opposite. Severe Maintenance Neglect: We went without heat during two separate winters for two months each time. The last time, they claimed they were "waiting on a part," despite the heating system only being 3 years old. Leaving tenants without heat for months is unacceptable. Unbelievable Timelines: We dealt with a leaking shower for months, which eventually caused a hole to rot right through our kitchen ceiling. When they finally decided to replace the bathroom, they chose to do the major construction over Christmas week. Double Standards on Property Care: They expect you to handle all yard work to their exact, strict standards, giving you a single weekend to comply before penalizing you. However, when it comes to their standards of maintaining the actual home, they will leave you hanging for months. Difficult Bureaucracy: They mandate a specific renters insurance policy that is not obtainable through some insurance companies, creating unnecessary hurdles for tenants. Security Deposit Nickeling-and-Diming: When you move out, don't expect your full deposit back. They hit you with mandatory charges--including carpet cleaning and stove drip pan replacements--guaranteeing a $185.99 deduction right off the top, regardless of how clean you leave the place. Shady Accounting Policies: To make matters worse, they will only return the security deposit check to the person who signed the W9, completely ignoring the fact that there were multiple co-signers on the lease who contributed to the rental property. This company expects total compliance and top dollar from their tenants, but provides subpar communication, petty financial hurdles, and treats basic living necessities as an afterthought. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
