I didn't expect much from this discount airline but didn't expect to get ripped off. Upon check-in, we weighed our 2 lightest bags first which we paid for in advance. Upon weighing the 3rd bag, the agent told us we would need to pay for it which I expected. What I didn't expect was that it would be $80! I later found out that bags are priced by weight, so the agent could have charged us for one of our lighter bags. I also found that we also could have openned up the app right there and paid another $15 for a 3rd bag. So I'm pissed that we got a sh!thead agent who knowingly charged us more than she had to. This is certainly cultural for the airline where they do not instill in their employees the need to take care of their customers best interests. Honestly I would probably fly them again if it was really cheap but only because I know better about their baggage scams and crappy customer service. read more

If I could give them a zero, I would. Lost one bag; after days of telling us it would be on a flight that day, it never arrived. Finally arrived 5 days later and I picked it up from the airport literally in the nick of time to head to a cruise, where my luggage never would have found me. Rude employees at the airport, useless employees regarding lost luggage and now, I can't make a claim for the replacement items I bought because their system won't recognize the booking code on my ticket. Had to write corporate offices in Spain and will sue if I have to. read more

Can I give Vueling less than 1 star? So many negative reviews on this low-cost carrier and I thought that won't happen to me. I was wrong. I had an issue with 2 carry-ons that complied with cabin baggage requirements, and even paid $25 each at the time of booking to check the bags in the hold (carry-ons were $15 each; I didn' care if I paid $10 too much). But they not only refused to let me carry them on, they charged another $130 (not a typo). The gate agent told me I could file a claim and get a refund, which turned out to be false. After weeks of trying to convince Customer Service that I paid for the bags to be in the hold -- and that's exactly where they put them -- they prevented me from talking with a supervisor, denied the claim, and refused to issue any refund or even partial credit for future travel. (You'd think that'd be a win-win, as I'd be spending more money with Vueling and give them a second chance.) Now, no way I'm flying Vueling again, and I'd caution you to avoid flying Vueling unless you're a glutton for punishment, hidden fees, and awful Customer Service. read more

Lost both of our bags. We got one back 6 days later. Still waiting for the other 14 days later. Now, our lost baggage code suddenly doesn't exist, phone line hangs up on us when we type it in and can't get through any other way, no reimbursement for expenses. Absolutely ruined our vacation! They also tried to deliver someone else's bag with someone else's name on it that was a different brand and color from the missing one. Oh and can't forget that was the dirtiest, nastiest plane I've ever been on in my life. read more

This is a zero star rating. We were flying from Florence to Barcelona. After a disorganized checkin, we waited in the staging area to board for an hour after takeoff was supposed to happen, with no updates. When onboard they took five passengers off because they felt the plane was too heavy for takeoff. What? Really?? After arriving to Barcelona, we found out that not one piece of luggage was in the cargo hold. It's been 24 hours. No luggage. Can't talk to anybody. No contact whatsoever. They made me pay $200 for a carry on bag. Run, this place is a scam. They will get away with charging you insane fees and then there is literally no way to fix it. They tell you to get ahold of customer service at the gate, but there is no way to get ahold of them. read more

Is there a way to give 0 Stars? This airline is the worst. Our flight was delayed 7 hours. Supposed to land around noon. Instead we landed around 7 to no luggage. Not one piece of luggage for the entire flight. How do you loose luggage for an entire flight of people? I saw people taking pics of their luggage as they checked in. Now I know why. Our luggage was returned Vueling's gross incompetence is astounding. They are near impossible to communicate with. No one answers calls or emails. This airline is the Spanish equvalent of Spirit Airline in the U.S. I have said it before, and I will say it again; "I will never fly your airline again". This airline tries to squeeze every penny out of your wallet and they even have the same stupid carry on measuring thing at the gate. If you bag is an inch bigger, then it has to be checked in and cannot be carried on. Forget that you might have something fragile in the bag?!? They don't care! I will do everything not to fly this airline again. Being a young woman traveling to another country alone, it has become incredibly difficult not to mention expensive since Vueling has lost all of my luggage. But the catch is I have Airtags in my bags and know exactly where they are. I have tried to get in contact with somebody but have had no luck. Myself, my parents, friends, locals, and airport lost and found officials have all tried getting in contact with somebody at this airline to allow me to tell the people "looking" for my luggage exactly where it is to help me get it back, but that has not been able to happen. This exact thing happened to my friend a year ago doing this same flight. I would not recommend this airline for the sheer reason of horrible customer service in the luggage department and complete lack of regard for their customers things. read more

If I could give this airline a 0 star, I absolutely would. I have never written a review for a company (no matter how bad the service) but I need to warn anyone wanting to use this airline. My flight was cancelled right after we checked in our bags. We waited in line for 3 HOURS just to be told that they could not get me to my destination for another 24 hours and when I asked for a return instead the customer service woman rudely stated that she couldn't do it even though I bought the tickets on the Vueling website and directed me to a customer service number and brushed us off. My flight was JULY 30th and to THIS DAY (October 9th) I have yet to get my return or compensation after COUNTLESS emails back and forth. This is an absolute ridiculous airline and customer service. The flight prices may seem attractive but it is NOT worth all of the stress if one thing goes wrong. read more

I researched this ILLEGAL refusal to unsubscribe their customers and I found tweets and facebook reviews complaining of this problem since 2010! Vueling lost my bag when flying from Madrid to Barcelona on February 1st which was a one hour flight. They told me once I got to Barcelona that they would take care of my bag and send it to my home in Los Angeles through American Airlines. It has been a month and I still have not gotten my bag. Vueling said that they were doing their best to find my bag but since I didn't have a photo of my bag tag (even though I had the number of my bag tag, the flight, the description and all other documents needed) they said they could not even give me my compensation... No other airline does this. They kept saying that they were looking but I did not believe them because it had been a month already. So I decided to call American Airlines myself and find out information. I found out with American Airlines that once Vueling sent my bag with American Airlines, Vueling closed my case completely. My bag flew with American Airlines from Madrid to Miami, but since Vueling had closed my case American Airlines could not see where my bag was to be delivered to or where it was suppose to end up. American Airlines then didn't know where to send it so they sent it to their warehouse in Texas. How was it that I was able to find out all this information myself and Vueling was not? Vueling knew the American Airlines flights that they had sent my baggage on but still did not go and find out information about my lost luggage. All they had to do was call American Airlines...A WHOLE MONTH HAS GONE BY and all Vueling had to say was that they were "trying their best to look for my bag that was still not found". That is so not true because I was able to find it myself. Customer service was terrible, their phone line always drops and hangs up on you if you don't speak clearly and the people say that they are looking for your bag but they are not.
