The screens 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 are pretty much the exact same size and shape, except for some small differences in seating layout, Screen 9 is the Vue Xtreme, which is their largest screen, and Screen 1 is very big and only just smaller than 9. Customer service is quite good, in the times I've brought tickets at the counter they've been very friendly and attentive, and also at the ticket gate they've made sure to smile and hope I enjoy the film. Snacks are on the expensive side, so I'd advise bringing your own snacks- they allow it and have done for a few years now. The screen sound systems are really good, you hear zero outside noise and you do tend to get quite absorbed in it. The screen quality is also good, they use Sony 4k Digital projectors, and if you look really closely (I've seen this on the website, I've not attempted it) the pixels are virtually invisible. The photo posted down below is of screen 10. When you're seeing a film in this screen, first you show your ticket at the normal gate upstairs, once they've scanned it, they will then hand you a pin code that you enter into the lock outside screen 10. It's a fairly small space, the seats however are very comfortable, with plenty legroom, the same sound experience you get from the main screens, and as there aren't many seats here, anywhere you sit is a good distance from the screen.

Thankfully I don't live far away and Genesis is on my way home from work so when there's something good playing I literally swing by after work to catch a film before dinner. It's easy to grab tickets for most screenings just before the film begins but for big blockbusters (Black Panther, etc) it's best to book in advance even if just by 15 minutes. You can do this online, £1 booking fee applies for non-members. Saves you queueing up in the packed lobby as you can go straight to the pick up machine. Tickets are £5 Monday to Wednesday and £9-10 Thursday to Sunday. Concessions are available. Here's also a luxury cinema experience in Studio 5 which is a small screening room fitted out with comfy love seats and a couple of armchairs. Here's a bar inside the studio. Cafe in the lobby, bar upstairs (named after the Music Hall that used to be on the site) and a snack stand. Food prices are the typical cinema price. Membership programme is worth it if you plan on seeing more than 2-3 films a month. For students the Silver membership is only £15. This means if you plan on seeing just 2 movies Thursday-Sunday in a month, you'll get your money's worth with a membership. For everyone else it's £20. This entitled members to unlimited viewings in screens 1-3 and discounted entry for luxury screenings. Members also get into special screenings for free. Special screenings happen multiple times a week and range from Q&A with directors and cast to panel discussions & singalongs to slam poetry nights It's brilliant to see Genesis lit up every time I pass by. Such a special place for film enthusiasts! I encourage everyone to go if they get a chance.

Because it's independent, it shows a really good range of current films, covering most of the big blockbusters as well as smaller artier pictures, and even some foreign films. You get really comfy seats, a really big screen, and the feel like you're in a proper cinema the way they used to be. Not just an advert for Warner Bros next 10 films before a Warner Bros Film in a Warner Bros out of town entertainment complex. This is a good thing!

I got a glass of wine for the movie and the girl working the bar was really sweet and commented on my accent and asked where I was from. There are cheap wine options but most of the concessions are overpriced as you would expect from a theatre. I found the seats (recliners) to be quite comfortable and there was much more room in front of them than I had come to expect from theatres in the US. Not sure if that's standard in the UK but it was a pleasant surprise. The screen was a tad on the small side but the audio/visual elements were all great. The neighbourhood isn't the nicest but didn't feel unsafe, just a little less posh than other parts of London. Would return, although there are other Odeon locations that are closer to me that I'd be more inclined to visit.

I saw my film in Screen 5 which is a huge screen with a few rows of comfy premium seats in the middle. Unfortunately the seat I was seating in was on the back row and was worn so much it felt almost like I was sitting on a wood plank. For the ladies who always get stuck waiting in the queue for one of two ladies toilets at cinemas, there are plenty of toilets and room to do makeup. The staff a very friendly and went out of their way to help me. There is also free wifi, yay! Over all a pretty good cinema, but they need to sort out there seating!

The first thing that put us off was the car park - which I know is probably not the cinema's fault - but it is extrememly inadequate for an 11-screen cinema, 4 restaurants, a shop, a hairdressers and a gym. We drove round for about 15 minutes just waiting for a space to become available. When we got to the cinema, there was a rubbish bin by the door, overflowing and not smelling particularly nice. The music playing in the foyer was very loud and was a heavy rock music! It was really offputting - something I'd expect to hear if I went to heavy metal night at the local pub! At the box office there was a TV screen missing (there was a large empty bracket on the wall with a mess of wires all over it,) so only half of the show times were visible. We already knew what film we wanted and at what time, which was obviously a good move as I couldn't see any film time leaflets anywhere. Anyway we had bought a drink and got to our screen and the film was just about to start only problem there was no noise! Another customer had to go inform the management, although we had missed the first couple of minutes of the sound already! About 15 minutes into the film, we heard very loud shouting, swearing, laughing, coming in to the screen, as they came to the front, we saw it was a group of about 10 young kids (about age 13/14). They were shouting at thje top of their voices 'do you like your *** film!'then they just stood at the front in the way of the film. I decided I should best go tell a member of staff as I didn't want to say anything to them myself. I told a member of staff who said she would ask someone to come up, but as I was going back into the screen 3 of the boys came right up to me saying had I grassed on them and they 'squared up' to me, swearing at me into my face. I was very scared, but they left the screen. I wasn't sure if somone was coming or not, but I wanted to tell them what those kids had done, so I waited near the door for a manager. When one came, I told him but he didn't seem bothered he then turned to the kidds who were out in the foyer and told them they could have another chance!! I couldn't believe it! They had threatened me, and scared me, not to mention ruining the film for every other customer and he just let them straight back in! The kids walked past me back into the screeen laughing about it, and (at this point I felt furious). I told the manager I couldn't believe he was not prepared to ask them to leave and that it was appalling!). He told me that I should calm down and just watch my film and said he didn't want to discuss it any more! So I went back in the screen and obviously the kids knew I had told on them so they continued to heckle at me and throw sweet wrappers/popcorn in my direction so we made the decision to leave. I thought this was absolutely appalling. I had gone with the intention of just wating a film quietly, whereas those kids had gone with the intention of distrupting the film and spoiling other people's enjoyment which, thanks to the manager, they had done. I will definitely not be going back there if this is how even the managers treat the customers. However it is normally very good. it';s clean. The kids love the arcade. Just that one time completely put me off. But the service is still bad.

The selection of movies is adequate, they have most of the new films out, and a large selection of bollywood - which is great if you enjoy them. If you're going to be seeing multiple movies in a month then sign up to their unlimited package, great value if you see 3 or more a month. While parking isn't great - the normal parking lot has been closed down for renovations - it is near bus and train lines and there are often taxis outside as an alternative option.

The cinema needs a bit more cleaning up and modernisation. The cinema is not very busy even on a Saturday night which is surprising being in a busy area. My biggest issue is with the men's toilets as there is no ventilation and the smell is unbearable... But then this appears to be a common cinema issue.

I felt an itching sensation on my skin during the presentation, then in my hair, on my scalp. I have a cluster of small red bites on my lower leg, typical of bed bug bites. Thank you Screen on the Green. Also, the toilets are dirty. The towel dispenser was jammed. The urinals stink. I doubt if they are thoroughly cleaned.
