If you're from Hawaii, it's a crack seed store basically. Last time I was here, I totally missed…read morethe side where they had li hi mui gummy bears and the gummy worms. I saw they had pickled mangoes in the fridge too. I decided to leave a review since we've frequented this exact location numerous times and I've gained enough experience to leave a review. So first, every time I've come in they speak only Vietnamese. Did not hear anyone speaking English, so make sure you bring a translator. They give samples of items. Some where given when asked but many times they grab something random and hand it to you. There were little to no prices on a lot of items, so I feel like they make up the prices as you go. Also be very careful with the amount you ask for, I feel like I'd ask for 1/2# but they go over and then still charge you instead of trying to fix the amount. But I guess it's ok since we can't get any of these seeds in Maui. But still, if someone asks for 1/2#, be accurate about it. Since there's no prices and no receipt given, you can't really be sure of the amount you pay. We got a bunch of seeds and rice crackers, price came out to about $70. Then when we got back to the hotel, noticed we were missing the squid. We tried to rummage around for the receipt to make sure we weren't charged for it but couldn't find anything. Oh well, hopefully we weren't charged.. The positive, they do ship their items to Maui. I think shipping started at $10/#. They also have TONS of locations, so if this one isn't nice, try another. lol.

Please be careful upon ordering from this store because the ladies that manage this location all…read moreseem to work and cover for one another. When you request for a pound of a certain dry good in containers they like to add in a little extra. After you requested for several different type of dry goods and they weigh the packages you'll notice immediately they added more than a little to each package and you're paying much more then you expected. We purchased like 8 different type of dry fruits asking for 2 pounds but to separate the 2 pounds into a pound each into separate bags. Because we were giving some as gifts. After the package were weighed we quickly noticed every package was much more than a pound and they didn't want to remove the excess to create the exact weight. When you ask them to make the corrections they make you feel like you're in the wrong, when you're trying to support their business. Upon paying and leaving the store a young and older Asian couple walking past us who seen the 2 bags full of goodies mentioned to us that the store isn't all hyped up to be. When I asked what they thought of this location they said they purchased items themselves about a year ago and told us the staff will pull a fast one on you if you're not paying attention. So always make sure if you ask for a pound that you're paying for a pound because the staff will indeed pull a fast one on you. Never support a business that will cheat you in the end! My purchase was my first time visit to this location but will never return again. Please be warned..

I've never been to Europe but this is as close to Europe as I can get in the states. They're known for all of their fish, salami, different CAVIARS, hand made dumplings and more! These are the 3 SWEETEST and NICEST ladies you'll ever meet. I don't know her name but she was able to go aisle by aisle showing me what everything is. I wanted to try it all but next time we'll get more. I did end up getting some Borjomi Sparkling Water and some Lays Crab Chips. Definitely never tried these before but it was the most minerallllly water I've ever tasted. I'll definitely be back for more! There were all kinds of Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Georgian stuff there it was awesome!

The staff was incredibly friendly and took the time to answer all of my questions and explain the different products. I also loved browsing the shop's unique selection of specialty foods--many of which I'd never seen before, and some whose names I couldn't even pronounce! I ended up taking home some caviar and blinis, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try their pastries. This charming little shop is a hidden gem, and I can't wait to find time this summer for another visit.

They are not super pushy like some of the other beef jerky shops. They are located in the shopping center next to the Asian Garden Mall or Phuoc Loc Tho. This is a great place for dried snacks and preserved fruit, and serve as nice gifts if you are traveling out of town or state. I like their varieties of beef jerky- non-spicy and spicy $33/lb, dried squid rolls $29/lb, preserved plum (xí muô.i) $18/lb. If you buy 5 lbs of meat jerky, you get 1/2 lb free. Happy snacking! We were looking for a place to buy authentic Vietnamese beef jerky as gifts for family in Florida,…read moreand the high Yelp ratings led us to 168 Kho Bo. I'm so glad we found this hidden gem! Located in the heart of Little Saigon next to Asian Garden Mall, it's conveniently located. Parking in the lot is limited, but there's plenty of street parking nearby. The shop was clean, well-organized, and stocked with a huge variety of jerky and other treats. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and offered generous samples. Since we aren't beef jerky experts, we asked to try their most popular flavor. It had a medium-high level of spice and was absolutely delicious, packed with incredible flavor in every bite! A special thank you to Thao, who spoke perfect English and made our experience even better. When she heard we were taking the jerky in our carry-on luggage, she kindly vacuum-sealed our order for us. They offer both 1/2 lb and 1 lb bags, making it easy to choose the right size. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and never pushy. They speak Vietnamese, Chinese, and English, ship nationwide if needed, and even accept credit cards with no extra processing fee. We'll definitely be back! If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese beef jerky bursting with flavor, this is the place to go. Be sure to ask for Thao, you'll be in great hands!

Seems to me, it is less crowded than other markets. (If I can avoid crowds, I will). It was Tet New Year season and I needed to get a few ingredients for some dishes I planned to cook. My first priority was the fresh oxtail in the meat department. I have gone to many markets for this cut and it seems this is the best place for a ~2 pound tray of mixed size tails. The fat is all trimmed off, as opposed to other markets that leave a fat layer behind that you are paying for. It also depends on if you prefer leaner tails. Next, the produce section. I picked up some cailan (Chinese broccoli). For the most part, the Asian veggies are pretty fresh - since there is a higher turnover rate of Asian veggies in this area. It was good on this day. So many varieties of green veggies, I love it! The fruit section is also pretty impressive. Papayas, guanabana, dragon fruit, pommelo, tangerines, korean pear, manzano bananas,...Not your ordinary apples and oranges. Dry goods include a plethora of rice, including Thai sweet rice, Japanese rice (perfect for sushi rice), red rice (known for high fiber and low glycemic index)... Who likes Chinese Style sausage? Me! It is called Lap Xuong, in Vietnamese. I love making Thai sweet rice and serve with thinly sliced Lap Xuong - my mom fed us kids this often! And yes, they have a good supply of this here, so stock up, it will last forever in the pantry. Vietnam is the world's second largest coffee producer. You will see the crazy amount of coffee products sold here, for example, Vinacafe. Most are packed as individual serving packets which includes cream and sugar. Too convenient for consumption! Also perfect to have in your pantry. You shall be impressed with the chili aisle. Sambal of all kinds. You can make an awesome pot of chili with this heat! Lots of Lunar New Year items too. I am sure there are still some left for purchase if you didn't have a chance to pick some up yet. They do have a liquor department too. Asians can drink iykyk. If you do, please don't drink and drive. Parking is ok, if you go shopping off peak hours. Market is on Beach Boulevard and it could get pretty busy so plan wisely. So enjoy your visit. It is always fun to discover a new product and try something you have never eaten before!

This has been my favorite "go to" for fresh vegetables for years. I love the fresh peeled garlic…read moreand the price of fresh ginger is incredibly reasonable (compared to the regular grocery stores) They also have a great selection of Asian condiments, plenty of frozen seafood (mainly crustaceans), fresh butcher-style meats (beef and pork) I prefer not to buy chicken or fish from the fresh butcher though as I've had bad experiences for both. The only negative is the employees are not friendly. When you ask an employee if they have a certain item, COMPLETE WITH PHOTO IN HAND, I've had them look the other way as if they don't speak English or they say "NO" without even looking at your photo. Fortunately, this is not always the case, but I've had that more than once. Some are helpful, but none are very friendly or overly accommodating. They also have the "fish fry" area if you'd into that. I've done it a few times when I can find fresh fish that meets my liking and it does turn out delicious and, of course, beats cooking it yourself. Overall, I'm fine here and the prices are "good"....

Stopped by Shun Fat to pick up some groceries while getting ingredients ready for dinner, and…read moreoverall found some pretty solid deals. For meat, I grabbed ground beef, pork neck (currently on sale for $1.99/lb), and chicken breast. Prices were definitely reasonable. For produce, quite a few items were cheaper than H Mart, including enoki mushrooms, Japanese yam, daikon, shiitake mushrooms, tofu, and carrots. That said, the Japanese yam didn't look very fresh this time, so I ended up skipping it and buying it at H Mart instead, even though it was a bit more expensive. Some items were priced about the same as H Mart, like napa cabbage ($0.99/lb), onions ($0.39/lb), and bean sprouts ($0.99 per pack). One change I noticed is that cucumbers are now pre-packaged instead of being sold loose, so you can't pick them individually anymore. They're also slightly more expensive than H Mart now. They also had a great deal on Driscoll's strawberries, $0.99 for a 1 lb box, which is definitely worth picking up. Overall, still a great spot for affordable grocery shopping, especially if you're cooking at home and want to save a bit here and there. (visited on 3/31/2026)
