Classy Cabins AZ - Moose Manor in Summer

Plus there weren't dressers, so we couldn't even rely on the closets to store clothes. *There were crumbs in all the kitchen drawers. *There was pet hair everywhere -- including on the counters and on appliances. *The bathroom rugs looked like they hadn't been washed for years. Again, so unfortunate! Cute place in a great location. We did contact Amy -- she said they had hired a new cleaning service and she would let them know. But by the looks of things, it's been a while since this place had a thorough cleaning.

Flawless. This is the one!…read more After a long search of the Northern AZ VRBOs for a 4 night stay for 9, we found ClassyCabinsAZ and booked Bearly-A-Cabin for Thanksgiving! The Cabin: Oftentimes something looks better on the Internet than reality, however this was not the case with Bearly-A-Cabin. We drove in from Monument Valley on Wednesday evening and were absolutely floored. You think it looks fantastic in the pictures? It's better! The cabin was absolutely spotless floor to ceiling, and is literally a *complete* home. How complete? We prepared Thanksgiving dinner for 9 here. What did we need to bring to prepare it? Just the food. Everything else was here - baking pans, settings, dishes for numerous sides, cutlery, and every other item needed. Giant dining room table, solid wood and awesome. It isn't like a hotel room or suite - it's a fully operational HOME with literally everything you have in your own and more. Just show up with groceries and you're set for anything. The cabin layout is amazing - very large great room with a sofa at least 2x large as your own, fully stocked kitchen as mentioned above, tons of sleeping options with the 2 king bedrooms ( beds are awesome ) and the 2 bunk rooms + the loft, game room with pool table, decks on both sides of the house and an ACRE of land for hanging out and playing with your kids. The property lines are well marked with rows of large rocks so you know where "your" land is! Being outside on the property was serene - clean air, quiet, relaxing! The Area: This is your home base. We did Grand Canyon, Williams for the Polar Express, Sunset Crater, Meteor Crater, and Sedona. Nothing is further than 60 miles. Very ideal location if you want to hit the National Parks and Monuments. We left during the first snow on Sunday morning, I bet the place is even more fun with some snow cover! They have sleds and snow toys in a deck box in the front. We joked that even if we just stayed at the cabin and went nowhere it would have been awesome. You just want to be in it, it is so well done and decorated. If you group is large, don't fret - the cabin is plenty large! From initial contact through the end of our stay the process was smooth and painless. Excellent communication from our hosts Amy and Steve throughout! Very quick replies to my many questions prior to booking, as well as after all monies were transferred. The excellent service did not stop with payment in full. So glad we found and booked this - we will be back.

We stayed in Cabin 6 which boasts a lovely deck and magical mountain views. There is a bed upstairs in the loft, and a bedroom downstairs. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up a good meal. I brought my own cast iron skillet and cooking gear packed in my camping supplies but ended up using what was in the cabin kitchen and it was perfect! No tv so you get to truly unwind, and enjoy the mountain air and cabin beauty. Loved it so much going back next month.

Stay away! Dishonest owner!…read more If you read this entire post, thank you. It is long but I thought carefully before I posted because after reading previous Yelp and Google reviews, I see the owner thoughtfully replies and defends her property, while trying to discount the feelings of the reviewer whenever something negative is posted. On 8/1/24 I booked a stay at Arizona Mountain Cabins and Inn (which I will shorten to AZMCI going forward) through my credit card's points website which uses Expedia. The price point that came up for Cabin 9 from 8/16-8/18 was $72 per night. I booked it easily enough. That evening I received an email from the owner, Mary. You can read screenshot below, but basically she said there was a pricing error beyond her control, and wanted to know if I still want the reservation at $172 per night. It was late and I did not respond. The next day I received three missed phone calls and one voicemail from AZMCI. I called Expedia twice that day first, told them the situation and asked if AZMCI was required to honor the price. Both people I spoke with said the stay was already paid for, so there are no issues with the price. I then called AZMCI and talked briefly with someone before Mary came on the phone. Our conversation was 7 minutes long. I was very calm when speaking with her. Told her that this was not the first time I had an issue booking with them. The last time was before Covid and I booked a one night stay over a weekend. I remember getting a call soon after and whoever I spoke with at the time said it was a two-night minimum and asked if I still want the reservation. I was not able to stay more than one night at the time, so I cancelled it. When I told this to Mary, she did not seem phased by my previous experience, nor my current experience and only about her bottom line. Mary did say that $72 would not even pay for the cleaning. She did offer me a stay in the lodge and a reduced rate, which I also declined because I was bringing my dogs and they are not allowed in the lodge. In the end, I told her I need to think about it and I will be in contact. In 8/3/24, I replied to Mary's email where I said she should make it right (see image). On 8/5/24, I replied simply saying, 'I am sure you had a busy weekend. Please reply.' I waited longer. Later on 8/5/24, I receive an email from Expedia say that I have been banned (see image). I called Expedia and they contacted AZMCI because they still saw the reservation in the system still. The agent told me that I cannot stay at their property because I was banned back in 2018. If I was banned, why would she offer me another room and ask me if I still wanted the reservation? Mary was not able to cancel my reservation, so she tried to manipulate me into doing myself. When I wouldn't budge, she made up that I was banned. Hey, I know Mary has a business to run and a bottom line, but as the owner, she had the power to make it right for the guest. I hope you think again before booking this property. And Mary, I eagerly await your response and hope you are honest in what you say. Without guests, you are nothing but empty cabins.

Just some observations! I hired these lovely ladies to clean my house. The response time was…read moreexcellent. I was able to get someone to my house right away. They were generally on time. Both cleaners were courteous and clarified anything they needed from me. The job was done efficiently and my house looked amazing! So, to those that do the actual cleaning, I was very impressed! My critiques: Management never visited my home prior to the cleaning and before quoting the job. I was asked multiple times to look at their website for anything extra as they have specific packaging for their cleaning services. When I explained what we need, I was again referred to packaging. What I ended up feeling like was that if my home/needs did not fit into their packages, then they couldn't do the work. After the cleaning, I was texted that I needed to prep the house more so that they could clean, even though the ladies claimed at the time the job was easy and straight forward. I had received no impression that our prep was misaligned. To clarify, as a family we spent a few hours prior to their arrival, organizing and cleaning so that they could do their job effortlessly. But, because I have young kids, there were still a few things on the floor and spaces that were cluttered. This text from management came off as micromanaging and a bit off-putting. We homeschool and therefore actually live in our home. However, we're also a fairly neat and tidy family. My past experience with other cleaners is that our needs are reasonable considering the size and scope of our home/family. So in the end, I found management's approach to our home puzzling and frankly insulting. Further in the text, I was also educated on the proper way to categorize our home. We have a large house with six bedrooms. Because the extra rooms are used as offices, classrooms and play rooms, our originally quoted price would need to increase. Never mind that I had described our home's square footage and bedrooms beforehand. Objectively, I can understand the need to know what the rooms are used for. However, if management had visited our home, there could have been a proper discussion of price and needs. So, again, customer service was really lacking and I ended up feeling as though my needs were extraneous and that the company knew best. In the end, I expressed my needs for cleaners who could clean a busy home, that could help me generally reset the home every two weeks. With how busy our home is, there might be some weeks where there is more clutter than is usual and we completely acknowledge that this would mean some areas wouldn't get full attention. After consideration, management declined the job as they don't do those kinds of services. I must need a maid, after all, so I was told. My final thoughts are these: If you have a home you don't live in, then you'll not have any issues. The cleaners themselves are excellent! I would hire them directly if I could. For everyone else, I would encourage getting a home visit and a clear definition of how your home fits into their packages. It seems this is a very niche company with little flexibility. And if you've never had your house cleaned before, then rest assured you'll be taught how to make their work as easy as possible. Or, as was suggested to me, just find a maid to do the work. Thank you and good luck with your cleaning adventures. For me and my family, we'll look elsewhere.
