A welcome surprise! First time visiting Flag, and weren't sure what to expect from HGI, but it…read moredelivered a wonderful experience. The cons: Bed was a little hard, pillows were mostly flat, sounds travel a lot, water pressure ok. The PROS: fair price for a well kept, well maintained room and overall hotel. Very pleased with quality of appointments and furnishings, and the provided convenience for coffee (love the keurig and provided k-cups!), the bathroom (lotion, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, makeup removal cloths, shower caps, shoe shine, etc etc etc), and the overall ambiance of the hotel. Room size is ample, parking lot is great, conveniently located to most stuff in Flag, NAU, Grand Canyon, Sedona, Monument Valley, etc. Each morning I would refill my water bottle with delicious lemon-cucumber water and say hello to the staff. Each of which were incredibly helpful and friendly and a real pleasure to interact with. Pool right off of main lobby, but so is a gas-fired fireplace and a sweet little bar and lounge area. 10/10 would recommend, and would seriously consider staying again on future trips. All in all, a reflection of management and a commitment to customer service. Thank you for a great visit! PRO TIP: the prices for breakfast in flag at other establishments ranges from $12-$25 PER PERSON, soooo if you're looking for some savings for your wallet and your watch, you'll check out the hotel breakfast buffet for $14.95/pp. Hubs said let's try F..ê. FLG for Sunday brunch: what a disaster. His singular waffle cost MORE than the HGI breakfast BUFFET and my breakfast burrito? Never came, after waiting 35+ minutes. We left and wouldn't go back to that shithole if someone paid us.

Beautiful rooms with reclaimed wood headboard and desk…read more Spacious with great grounds to walk around on. Stayed two nights and used as a home base for Grand Canyon adventures. Highlight of the trip!

My overall rating for Little America Hotel Flagstaff is 3 stars…read more I want to start by saying that overall, many of the staff were kind, and I've stayed at this property multiple times before with good experiences. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds and pillows are amazing, and the views of the Coconino Forest are beautiful. I also really enjoy the heated pool, the walking trails, and how convenient the location is to nearby stores, gas stations, food, and the highway. However, this stay started off on a rough note during check-in and unfortunately impacted my overall experience. When I approached the front desk, the representative (I believe his name was Hudson) had just been warm and friendly with the guests ahead of me. But when it was my turn, his entire demeanor shifted. I greeted him politely, introduced myself, and asked how he was doing--he didn't acknowledge my greeting at all. He became very robotic, avoided eye contact, and rushed through the process in a way that felt uncomfortable and dismissive. The interaction continued to feel tense. He spoke quickly, made assumptions about my payment method, and presented documents to sign without explanation or engagement. The only time he made eye contact was when emphasizing rules about no smoking and no pets. I had previously called to confirm that I could bring my cat, who is an emotional support animal, and was told that would be allowed with documentation. When I explained this, he became agitated and insisted I must have spoken to a third party, implying the information I received wasn't valid. After requesting a manager, the situation shifted, and I was eventually allowed to proceed with a one-time fee instead of a nightly charge. However, the interaction felt unnecessarily difficult and uncomfortable. What made this experience more concerning was something I observed after checking in. When I connected to the TV system, I noticed that one of the device names visible on the network included a racial slur. Guests do not have the ability to rename these TVs--they are pre-programmed--so this is something that had to come from within the organization. That was extremely upsetting and unacceptable to see in a professional environment. It's 2026, and people are still out here using racial slurs, spreading hate instead of love and kindness. I'm not interested in being in environments that feel stuck in the past. I want to be around warm, welcoming, modern people who choose unity over division. This is the main reason I cannot rate this stay higher. While I understand that not everyone reflects this behavior, it raises serious concerns about oversight and accountability. Management should be more attentive to what is happening within their establishment, especially when it comes to creating a respectful and inclusive environment for all guests. It's disappointing because I've enjoyed staying here in the past. However, based on this experience, I don't feel comfortable returning and will choose to spend my money elsewhere moving forward.

Our hosts in Vagon K were amazing, they entertained us so good. Kids loved the show in train, and they Cookies were delicious and big and were still warm. They also serve hot cocoa. The ride there was great, semi private and had drinkenu with all these specialty cocktails non alcoholic for the kids. They absolutely loved that. The snacks they advertised were not real snacks I was expecting, it was donut holes, tiny muffins and that was about it. The ride home was also first class but a different car and not anything like our trip there. We were packed with lots of other people, it was pretty dirty and uncomfortable. The person in charge of our car was so much better than on the way but the car was not. No specialty drinks or menu for the kids. They were so disappointed. The snacks were a spread of meats, cheeses, veggies and some bread pretzel bites. So, that was better. The train robbery was kinda silly, aoney grab. They take your photos on the ride there but they lost ours and the price starts at $40 to receive them! For the price, especially upgrading, you think they would give you at least one for free. Anyway, it was a fun experience one time but that's it....a one and done. The hotel was clean and breakfast is included. If we had to pay the receipt said $79 for a family of 4. Very much not worth the price. The fruit looked like it had been frozen and then put out, even the grapes looked old and nasty. Nothing great and you have to wait for a server to order the drinks (coffee, juice, etc). They don't have milk for kids and they expect a tip for literally servicing you juice. Again, a bit silly for a buffet and paying a ton of money. Again, a one and done for us.

Parking is allowed behind the apartment complex that's located next to the hostel. Street parking is also available free on a first come first serve basis. Free wi-fi is available here too. There are plenty of local restaurants in the area that the hostel is located in, also a short walk away is 'historic downtown'. A few blocks north is historic route 66 along with the visitors center located inside the Amtrack train station. You can find souvenirs inside the visitors center and if you walk further up the way there are more stores selling camping gear, outdoor weather clothes and souvenirs as well. The Staff was nice and always stayed busy cleaning and taking care of the place. They did give me some good recommendations for places to eat while staying in Flagstaff. Now the building itself was pretty cool. Judging by the hardware on the doors it was updated back in the 80[s but the architecture on the inside tells the store of when the building was built back to maybe the early 1900s (but that's just my guess and probably not accurate). Either way, I loved how they kept as much of the original features of the building as possible while keeping it functional. I stayed in a female-only dorm during my stay with them. The room I was staying in was a 4-bed female room with its own personal sink and its own minifridge, it also came with a fan in case you get to hot (or need moving air as I do). Even though it had room for 4 females it was only me and this other girl staying in the room for the day. She was on a 4-month' road trip' across the southwest/west coast of the USA. She was originally from England visiting the US for the first time and I loved listening to all the cool places she visited since landing in Seatle making her way down the coast and reaching Flagstaff where she took a rafting tour of the colorado river that rungs through the grand canyon. Some people I was talking to during breakfast were visiting from all over the country and of course, I ran into some people who lived in Plano, Dallas and other parts of the great state of Texas. Super cool people that bunch. They do have a full kitchen so you can use the stove, microwave, etc. Washer and dryers are available just bring quarters and detergent, towels are free just request one from the front desk. Breakfast was your choice of coffee or tea along with oatmeal and some fresh fruit. They have an upstairs with a nice sitting area and another full kitchen and 2 more full bathrooms upstairs so no shortage of bathrooms! Downstairs they have the sitting room and they also have a tv room and pass that they have a small office area with a computer where I assume guests are allowed to use. At the front desk, they have info on tours in the area along with a bulletin board with other useful information in the area. If you play pokemon go there is a pokestop on site haha! I loved this place and it worked for what I needed while staying in the area. If given the chance I would stay here again.

Stolen Apple Watch, No Breakfast, and Poor Guest Experience…read more I stayed at this Econo Lodge (that's what it is now called) recently and had a very disappointing experience overall. First, I accidentally left my Apple Watch in the room after checkout. I realized it quickly and contacted the hotel right away. Despite multiple calls and follow-ups, the staff was unhelpful and gave inconsistent information. No one seemed to take responsibility or make a real effort to help locate or return it. Instead housekeeping stole the item and took it home. A police report has been filed. The lack of urgency and accountability was frustrating and stressful. On top of that, the amenities advertised did not match the experience. There was no real breakfast available as advertised in booking and the coffee situation was unreliable and poorly managed. For a hotel that promotes basic comforts, this was disappointing and added to the overall negative stay. Mistakes happen, but how they are handled matters. Between the stealing personal property, lack of professionalism, and unmet amenities, this was not a stay I would recommend. I strongly advise future guests to double-check their belongings and not rely on staff support if something goes wrong.

Does anybody have a number I can call to sue them for simply being open and running? 3rd worst hotel/motel experience I've ever had. Comparable to cartel motels in the hoods and slums of Mexico.

This was two items they charged an extra $50 for. The "fan" was supposed to cool the room after 30 minutes but blew hot air out no matter what setting. This demonstrated lack of any oversight or care that a room in such deplorable conditions was even offered to a paying guest. I demanded my money back or that they make it right. We paid for a 6 night stay. The next room they moved us to was much better. The microwave was clean and the fridge worked. Turned on the "fan" and the room cooled to near freezing. We stayed our 6 nights. I believe this place has a long term stay area were there are sketchy people that I see holding signs on street corners. And I firmly believe they have substandard conditions there because they claimed their air conditioning was broken. Maybe in that one building but no fan will ever cool a room to near freezing. That's air conditioning. I believe they have a guest section where everything works and then a long term stay where they could care less that anything works. The location is convenient to a highway, Walmart, fast food and restaurants. Parking is plentiful. After a certain time you must speak to a kiosk with someone on video as the front desk is installed.

So when we had to travel to Flagstaff again for some appointments at the end of Feb this year, we figured things would be same. We had booked through Priceline a queen room in a smoking room as we vape. When we checked in, the woman was very nice and check in was fine. Our room however was not good. It was 2 double beds. One of the lights didn't work. The lights that did work had two different light shades. There was something very sticky dropped on the floor that hot water couldn't even get off the floor. One of the lamp shades was broken. The TV got maybe 10 tv channels. There was a dirty crusty washcloth hanging on the shower curtain bar. The beds were pretty hard. The biggest downfall of the room was how hot the room was. When we checked in, it was really warm, so we pushed the ancient (falling off the wall) thermostat all the way to cool and turned on the fan. Instead of cooling the room, it got to over 90 degrees. We woke up at 4 am dying in the heat. We had to open the door and let the cold air in to cool off the room. We were not able to sleep after. At checkout, you don't actually check out with a real person, it's a kiosk with someone across the world. It is so impersonation. I believe since Motel 6 has been acquired by Oyo, they have gone downhill. Also, look into the air vent. Ours shows the filter had not been changed since November 2024.

We stayed on the fourth floor, no paranormal to report, so if you want a cozy, cute room with no weird things happening ... yes, yes and yes. Large bed, and television to keep you entertained with a view of the downtown. Night life is where it got questionable for us. Between the two bars located in the Monte Vista, request a quiet room away from the chaos. Our room had been looking over the downstairs bar, both nights we stayed we heard the college students having a blast into the morning which of course made it difficult to get good sleep. Additionally there is no AC, you will need to turn the fans on and open the windows to get a light breeze going through the room at night. You'll, it was hot and miserable! They have their own parking for their guests, you would think easy peasy on parking. Not the case, the later it is the easier it is to get a spot but I'm thinking it's limited. The hotel staff in the bar area had been sweet and accommodating, however the desk attendant the day we left was unamused of our request for ice ( they need to get it for you) and when we checked out, he just did not seem very friendly. Maybe we got him on a bad day. To recap- We loved the building and its history but I don't believe we will be staying again.

We stayed in Room 217. We stayed Saturday night and checked out Sunday morning. We arrived right at 3:00pm (check in time) We planned to park and then go check in. However, we could not find a place to park... so my husband stayed in the car while I checked in. The guest in front of me experienced the same issue, and she was extremely displeased to hear that they only offer limited parking for hotel guests. If no parking is available, guests must park in the parking garage nearby. The rate for that garage is $50/night, and NO, that amount will not be validated or reimbursed. This is a major inconvenience and may be a an unpleasant, surprise expense for someone who is not aware of the parking situation at the hotel. It should also be noted that the hotel does not have AC. They do have ceiling fans and windows that you can open. There is 1 small elevator at the hotel & a staircase to access your room. There is not a mini fridge or anything to keep leftovers cold, so I would recommend packing an ice chest if you want cold food or drinks. Our room was clean, but very small. The bathroom sink was the smallest thing I've ever witnessed in my life. The bed was comfortable. I was on the lookout for bedbugs, as I saw many reviews mentioning them. I can confidently say that our room did not have any bedbugs in it. I checked every nook and cranny! The nightlife in the hotel is amazing. We had so much fun sitting in the lounge & sitting outside on the bench- people watching! I felt that the nightly rate of the room was overpriced considering the limited amenities the hotel offers. I would never pay extra for a room with a "view" at this hotel- as I did not feel that we had any noteworthy view at all. If you are strictly staying here for the paranormal side of things, I'm sure it would be worthwhile. All in all, I can say that we had a splendid time, but I cannot foresee staying here again.
