This is NOT to be confused with VR Adventures (which is also close by on the LINQ Promenade). This is inside the first floor of the LINQ hotel itself, with 6 large stalls set up with designated screens and VR headsets so that you have ample space (or as much as they can afford anyway) to play any VR games of your choosing.
I've played many VR games demoed at many other events, and manned gaming stations before, and while the staff was really nice, I wasn't impressed with their lack of product knowledge.
Boyfriend and I paid $20 for 20 minutes of gameplay. However, we had to try playing at a few different booths, which ALL had technical difficulties, before we finally started playing at booths that actually worked. Due to technical difficulties, they gave us an extra 10 minutes, for a total of 30 minutes of gameplay.
I was unimpressed that the rep who helped us didn't even know that there were headphones built onto the headsets, and I spent 5 minutes unable to hear anything until I pointed it out. I also jumped around from game to game, which I thought were alright. I didn't try everything, but my two favorites were the EDM DJaying game, and the pirate game.
Boyfriend had a blast in his shooting game, which made me really wish I had played that one now. I personally wasn't all that impressed, and I hope that the staff gets better training and ACTUALLY play their own games. read more
