We had so much fun! Our first VR experience. Highly recommend. Well run, and easy to book, fun for adults and kids.

This is my 2nd time visiting Sandbox VR. First time at this location. The location is pretty easy to find in the Grand Canal Shoppes. From the parking garage walk towards the shoppes and head to your right. Across from St Marks Square and the gondola is Sanbox. If you see Sloans Ice Cream it's right next door. We walked in. Checked ourselves and signed the waiver. They do have water and snack boxes you can purchase as well as giftcards. It took a few minutes for anyone to come out and greet us. One of the employees got us set up with our trackers, gave us general guidlelines and lead us back to our game room. Once in there, he handed it off to the girl monitoring our session in case we had any issues. I'm a Stranger Things fan. I did have to use the safety word once because I was getting so into the game that I was sweating and my headset googles fogged up hahahah. She cleaned them and we resumed the game. At the end they give a recap of your experience sent to your email. Usually 3 videos. You work as a team for the games but they still have an MVP and give you your stats at the end. This location didn't show us our video on the screen after. I had to watch it on my phone. It was so fun. Would love to come back with a bigger group. I do prefer the Miracle Mile location over this one. read more

For someone that hasn't experienced VR, you'll have fun. If you have VR equipment at home or have experienced the Void, this is just average. Cramped room bumping into your team. Biggest issue for me was the equipment. Vests with broken straps, busted zippers, delayed start due to issues, pause mid game for headset issues, poor gun and body tracking, it just pulled you right back out of the experience as you got frustrated with poorly implemented tech. They said they were waiting for new equipment and apologized for the condition of the equipment, but come on, plan ahead. You shouldn't wait until every vest in the room is busted to start ordering new equipment. Would not go back... and if I did, I'd ask to see the equipment first. read more

We found this place while visiting Vegas during our family road trip. I'm not into any video games but my kids love VR and wanted to try this place as a family activity. Since it was early (11:35) on a weekday, they had a discount rate of $39 per person. We chose Deadwood Phobia since we love zombies and it was a new game. The setup was easy and staff were very friendly. They had to reset the game a few times due to some glitches, which took about 30 min to fix, but once the game started, it was an adrenaline filled fun! We were screaming and laughing while shooting at oncoming zombies. We all had such a blast. The staff told us if we came back again, they would give us a 20% discount. We just needed to walk in or call them to reserve a spot. So, we made a mistake of booking our second session thinking we would have another fun experience for even cheaper price. Wrong. When we walked in to book another session, the guy working there was not so friendly. He charged us $55 per person and told us he couldn't override the system to give us the discount. We told him to cancel it so that we could book it online for $39 weekday price (there was no 20% discount after all). He said he canceled it and we did receive the cancellation email, but later found out he never canceled it and the charge stayed on our credit card. The game itself was underwhelming (Deadwood Valley) this time because of all the glitches and we left the place frustrated and disappointed. We should've left the place after the first experience. 5 stars for the initial experience but reduced to 3 for the not so great second visit. read more

I've had excellent experiences at Sandbox VR in Cerritos, CA, so I wanted to share the Sandbox experience with family at this location at the Grand Canal Shops in Venetian. Chose deadwood mansion and it was fun to kill zombies. Chris and Robert took really good care of us and made sure that our newbies would know exactly what to do. We appreciated that the equipment was sanitized well. Our spouses watched us act like kids and they had almost as much fun as we did! The games can have a maximum of 6 people; therefore, you can have an optimal experience if you have a group size of 4-6 people. For this game, we had 3 people, which made it a little more challenging. I enjoyed sharing the experience with family as they had no idea what to expect and they had a great time. 3rd time here and it never disappoints! Literally one of the most funniest things to do with your friends and family. First time we did Squid Games,second was Dragons, third was Deadwood Mansion. I for the life of me do not like anything scary but somehow my teenage son pulled me into this game. I don't regret it. It was super intense, my heart dropped the moment the headset put us in the game. I screamed the entire way, I'm sure the people in there were like second guessing themselves hahaha. Make a reservation online, as you will have to wait your allotted time. It's about $65 per person. No age limit required but will have to sign waivers with an adult. You get hooked up two bands for your feet,two for your hands and a vest. You get vibrations, sounds, wind the whole nine yards! The game last about 15-20mins be prepared to sweat and have lots of fun! Customer service has always been top notch. Excited to go again and again until we've done them all! read more

We loved the Squid Game series, and being local, I'm always on the hunt for family activities we could do together - I thought heck, why not give VR a shot? We have VR headsets at home, so it's nothing new, but these interactive games brought it to a new level. This Sandbox VR was located in the Miracle Mile. For a pro-tip, park in the garage and head to the right. The service was great, they walked us through the whole thing, from signing waivers, taking our Squid Games Contestant pics and virtual avatars, getting geared up (which was cool, it involves sensors on ALL your limbs, plus the haptic chest piece), and getting started. The gameplay was fun. The games weren't EXACTLY like the show, like red light green light involved grabbing coins and depositing them into the bank. I was sad they took out the glass bridge game (for safety reasons, I guess too many people were falling). Overall though, each one of us had a blast playing and left with smiles on our faces. The best part is that they send you short clips and recaps of your gameplay, showcasing both IRL and in-game footage, so we got to laugh and relive the fun again! Pricey, but worth the experience. I've never experienced any virtual gaming before and this was my first experience. It was a lot of fun to do and try for the first time. So they put you in a room with your group and they set you up with sensors on wrists and legs to capture movement in the game. Then they'll put a vest on you thatll supposedly interact and mimic what is happening in the game. It is very much a lot of jump scares and it had me yelling a couple times. Also; apparently they have different games that come out every so often so it's not the same ones all the time. They'll give you a gun of choose and has very small recoil and there's some vibrations that come with it. I remember coming to Vegas years ago when this place was being built and I was always curious about its potential. Now that I've experienced it, I would highly urge anyone that can to visit this place anytime they come to Vegas. I came in a party of 4 and our tickets were about $60 each which is totally justified. Once all the rules and instructions are explained one of the employees will help you strap on sensors for your arms and legs along with the actual VR helmet. Depending on what game you choose you'll get different accessories which in my case were weapons for a zombie game. Once we were inside everything felt so real and immersive. The employee is there monitoring at all times to make sure everything goes smoothly. The game itself was about 30 minutes which might go by slower or quicker depending on your individual experience. For me the game felt like it was much more than that and blew me away. The zombies felt like they were actually coming for me and I had to remind myself that I was playing a game. Once the game is over you get some free videos of your experience which I love to look back at and laugh at myself and friends. The employee who helped us was Rodrick and he really helped us out throughout everything which I appreciate. He gave us a ton of advice and suggestions and you can just tell he loves what he does. I had a great experience at Sandbox VR. We played the Squid Games VR. Our attendant was really helpful. She helped get us settled in with the equipment that goes on your wrists and ankles, and also the headset and vest. My only feedback about this whole experience was the headset had a weird fit despite adjusting it. Felt like the eyes portion was too far down, as there was a gap on my head and by the end of the game, the headset felt very tight despite not adjusting it during the game. Additionally, the headset is pretty heavy, so you have to have somewhat of a sturdy/strong neck, lol. Our attendant was overall very helpful throughout the game with troubleshooting. The Squid Games VR is super fun. Most, if not, all the games were based from the actual show. The experience felt super immersive. At times it felt like I was actually falling. If you "caught" during the game, you would "die" and be eliminated for a short period of time, which prevents you from earning more points, but you are able to rejoin the game pretty quickly, so it's nice that you're pretty much involved with the game the whole time. I would recommend booking at least a few days in advance to ensure the time slot you want. Also note, there are 2 Sandbox VR locations in Vegas, so check that you're going to the correct location. Yelp Review 2024 #30: We've been planning an activity for a friend's birthday and everybody's busy for several weekends. When we all agreed on a date, we booked our time slot at Sandbox VR at Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian to do Squid Game. I love the show, most of us have seen the show, and only one person has never seen a single episode. We hit the road in separate cars and we all got stuck in traffic! It turns out Rock and Roll Half Marathon was happening and roads were closed especially Las Vegas Boulevard! It took us over an hour to get to the Venetian. We called Sandbox to let them know we were running late to see if they can bump us 30 minutes later and they were understanding of our situation which was very nice. We all got to Sandbox at the new time except for one friend who ended up by the airport after detour upon detour. We were worried they were going to cancel our spot but they let us play but we just had to finish at a specific time because there's a group after us. We read and signed our waivers on the tablets at the lobby. We got geared up starting with cuffs with ball attachments for our wrists and ankles. We selected our avatars and were taken to a room with black walls and flooring, toy guns on the wall and an ottoman where we could put our stuff in. Got the rest of our gear: the vest that vibrates and VR goggles. And off we went with our Squid Game. But one of our friend's equipment wasn't working so we had to wait so they can reset our game. And then, we played our game. Red Light Green Light was of course one of the games. Other games included Simon Says, Tiles, Shapes, Glass Bridge, Catch, etc. From getting our gear to finishing the game, we spent an hour. Don't overthink it and don't have a strategy like I did - the games are tweaked a bit to make it more fun and to make sure nobody dies in real life. If you die, you're only dead for like 5 seconds then, you can move again and keep going until you die again. In the end, the person who won was the one who had never watched Squid Game! Also, make sure everyone's not talking when the rules of the each is being introduced - that's how I lost the last game! I had no clue what was supposed to happen. So sad! If you have motion sickness, this might not be an activity for you. Drink water and empty your bladder before playing. My friend was soaking in sweat after. They also have a zombie shooting game but I'm not having any of that! Overall, it was a very good time. You get to download videos of your game so you can laugh at yourself. read more

This venue is inside the Grand Canal Shoppes. You must pay for parking at this venue. It is best to sign up for the time slot before showing up. The time slots can get booked pretty quick. We had to wait 1.5 hours for an open slot. You better show up on time. They will cancel your appointment and keep the money if you are more than 5 minutes late. We made sure to be on time. The games are extremely fun. They put sensors on all your limbs and it is very realistic. I love the pictures and videos at the end. I will return to the Atlanta location. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our Squid Game session. We were a group of 6, which was the full amount of people that could play in one game. Our host, Adi made everything super easy from describing how to put on our sensors and gear to fixing a couple of glitches during gameplay. The graphics were great. It really felt like you were falling through the floor as they also employed fans to replicate the feel of movement. And I loved that you only got a 6-second timeout when "dying" in the game. Wait a few seconds and you were back in the game. The play lasted for about 45 minutes and we got through 6 games. They put together a small video mix of our VR gameplay and real life views. Super fun and enjoyable. Wear breathable and loose clothing. You will get warm, if not sweaty. This location is in the canal area across the bridge from the main plaza area where many of the restaurants are located. read more

Sandbox VR is located on the Venetian side in the grand canal shops. It was my first time checking this place out and it was easy to do. We walked right inside and asked for availability and had to maybe wait for an hour or so. You can also make reservations before time but we just didn't know what day we had free. It was intense there are different types of play and we picked a zombie one which was kind of scary for me. You are in a large room with a group of players. Walking with the VR headsets and somewhat of a backpack on you. Shooting all the zombies was intense because some wouldn't die because they were the bigger ones. Again DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! $135 for two ppl is quite expensive for an EXTREMELY Cheap VR experience. You can't see, your "weapon" aims into space, you can't hear your teammate.... Beyond disappointed. The person at the front, wearing a name tag that said Briza - Team Lead, was extremely cold and unwelcoming. All she asked was if we had a reservation, and when we said no, she completely ignored us. We walked in without anyone greeting us or offering assistance. She was just standing there. If it weren't for my kids really wanting to play, we would have walked out immediately. When we asked to speak to the manager, she claimed to be the supervisor herself. To make matters worse, the game was frozen for 5 minutes and had other issues throughout. For paying $60 for a game, we don't deserve this kind of service. It looks like she hates her job, and quite frankly, she shouldn't be working there. The lack of professionalism, courtesy, and functionality was absolutely unacceptable. There are other VR around the area deserve our money. read more

This is an experience, we started with some booking issues but, after that was rectified, we were apple to enjoy our VR experience. We played the deadwood mansion and boy I'll tell you it was fun, my kids have an oculus and they said it's similar to that but has a more full body feel. Your game session is about 30-45 mins and you get a video at the end of it showing you in the experience. They have a list of weapons to chose from but it is first come first serve, I played with the shotgun and had the highest score on the team, so that's my suggestion. This is a great activity when your visiting especially if you have kids our spouses who are gamers they will love you! read more

DEADWOOD MANSION: This experience was an adventure to say the least! I took my girlfriend here for her bday. I'm pretty much scared of everything so it's not surprised I screamed as I killed the zombies lol. This was such a great time, I faced a lot of fears with this one lol. My girlfriend had a blast! She even got MVP!! The host were all nice and friendly. They gave great directions. The Deadwood Mansion experience was scary and she said there was one scarier than that. We will definitely be back and bring friends next time. I may opt for the less scary ones and my girlfriend will definitely do the scarier one. I'll support from the sidelines. Also, if you have someone that doesn't want to play, there a space for them to sit and watch you play. I imagine that point of view is hilarious. Great time! Definitely recommend! read more

Stopped by randomly yesterday to check out Sandbox VR and my group ended up doing a game. Samuel was very friendly and attentive to us from the moment we walked in the store. Could not say enough good things about the awesome customer service we received from him! He explained everything to us in great detail and just generally had a great vibe about him. The game was a blast! 25 minute play time but it felt like much longer. The cost is $60 which sounds a bit pricey but I've never done a VR game before so I'm not sure how it compares to others. But overall it was a fun experience for my group and I. They text/email you a "trailer" after with snippets of the game. At the end of the game they also give you a few second to record a "selfie" with your group but it's more of a short video not necessarily a selfie photo like most would think. So much fun!! We bring everyone here! Just had a family reunion, reserved two rooms. Kids, adults, everyone enjoyed it! Adania was our hostess, and she was so friendly and helpful. Prepare to be sweaty though! LOL Lots of moving around and adrenaline rushes throughout the game. We usually park at Palazzo, then walk through the shops, heading toward Tao (and Shoe Palace). This trip, I played the Amber Sky experience and it absolutely blew my mind. Apparently the game was recently remastered too, and using the latest Oculus hardware. After finishing the game with my buddies, we could hear players in the next room screaming their heads off (I think they were playing Deadwood Mansion) and my friends wanted to sign up to try that next. We genuinely were having so much fun playing until one of the rude employees, Robert, aggressively got angry with my girlfriend for taking off her headset because she has anxiety and got claustrophobic. Robert was incredibly demeaning and rude and made her feel extremely uncomfortable all because she needed a break to be able to breathe. Robert rudely, aggressively, and YELLING told my gf, "why would you do that? Do not take off your headset! Now take vest off". It was our first time ever experiencing a virtual reality game and we were extremely excited to try it out. We had such an amazing time while playing a had a ton of laughs. Unfortunately, this rude employee ruined everything for my gf and really put a negative taste in our mouth. We did have a gentleman who was working with us who was amazing and patient. He was having fun and laughing with us throughout our experience. This wonderful gem was named Ari. As soon as we came out of our experience I immediately vented to our team lead and he was very understanding and informed us that he would speak to this employee about his disrespect. He offered us a free game, but honestly, the environment felt tainted after that so we just wanted to vent and get out of there. Overall, the gaming experience was honestly really cool, that alone 8.5/10. The customer service outside of Robert was great prior to us even having to encounter him. Because of our -1000000/10 experience with Robert, it definitely wasn't worth the money we paid and we probably wouldn't be back to this location. As someone who takes disrespect very personally, Robert should not be representing your company. Again, for my girlfriend who had a moment for claustrophobia and needed a minute, she doesn't need to be screamed at for taking off her headset and getting some fresh air. Robert needs to relax and learn how to talk to people in a kind way, if he can't, clearly customer service is not for him. read more

Appointments are required. We came for my 10 year old cousins birthday and she chose the pirate like story. The sensory gear we put on was wet.. Hopefully from disinfectant rather than another persons sweat. 3 minutes into the experience my cousin got scared and quit. I don't recommend taking timid children who get scared quickly. The game was alright. We had to stop about 5 times but other than that it was alright. In my opinion you should save your money and get an oculus. read more

GREAT FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE!! Thank you to Samuel over at Sanbox VR, Las Vegas location. We were a party of 4 just walking indoors, staying away from the heat. We walked in with no intention to play, but just to see what the hype was about. Samuel, who came out to the front and greeted us, he was informative and attentive. He explained each game they had and addressed any concerns we had - giving us the pace and genre for each game and making sure it's something we ALL would enjoy. He even let us tour the facility and show us the gear they had, just so we know what we'd be getting into. The one thing about Sam throughout this whole process prior to us even signing up for a session - he was not pushy and he was very patient with our group, since we weren't too sure on if we were going to play or not. We went ahead and went with the Amber Sky 2088 gameplay - it's full of action and team play - whilst defending yourself against aliens! Also misleading comments made by store employees stating that the first 10 minutes were supposed to be training and not verbally mentioning the 5 minute late policy. Using email fine print as a safety mechanism for lazy store employees. The young lady who dealt with the issue was not able to provide any options that were any way compromising, stating that "corporate controls everything". We have done Sandbox VR in other locations and had fantastic experiences, but store employees always accommodated. Asked for a refund but only was able to offer store credit.
