I've had excellent experiences at Sandbox VR in Cerritos, CA, so I wanted to share the Sandbox experience with family at this location at the Grand Canal Shops in Venetian. Chose deadwood mansion and it was fun to kill zombies. Chris and Robert took really good care of us and made sure that our newbies would know exactly what to do. We appreciated that the equipment was sanitized well. Our spouses watched us act like kids and they had almost as much fun as we did! The games can have a maximum of 6 people; therefore, you can have an optimal experience if you have a group size of 4-6 people. For this game, we had 3 people, which made it a little more challenging. I enjoyed sharing the experience with family as they had no idea what to expect and they had a great time. I'd definitely recommend the Sandbox Experience.

3rd time here and it never disappoints! Literally one of the most funniest things to do with your friends and family. First time we did Squid Games, second was Dragons, third was Deadwood Mansion. I for the life of me do not like anything scary but somehow my teenage son pulled me into this game. I don't regret it. It was super intense, my heart dropped the moment the headset put us in the game. I screamed the entire way, I'm sure the people in there were like second guessing themselves hahaha. Make a reservation online, as you will have to wait your allotted time. It's about $65 per person. No age limit required but will have to sign waivers with an adult. You get hooked up two bands for your feet, two for your hands and a vest. You get vibrations, sounds, wind the whole nine yards! The game last about 15-20mins be prepared to sweat and have lots of fun! Customer service has always been top notch. Excited to go again and again until we've done them all!

This is our second time at Sandbox VR at The Venetian. Last time we were here, we played the Amber Sky 2088. This time, we played Squid Game. Awesome Experience, and fun games to play! Definitely recommend trying it!

I've never experienced any virtual gaming before and this was my first experience. It was a lot of fun to do and try for the first time. So they put you in a room with your group and they set you up with sensors on wrists and legs to capture movement in the game. Then they'll put a vest on you thatll supposedly interact and mimic what is happening in the game. It is very much a lot of jump scares and it had me yelling a couple times. Also; apparently they have different games that come out every so often so it's not the same ones all the time. They'll give you a gun of choose and has very small recoil and there's some vibrations that come with it. Overall, It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend if you haven't experienced anything like this before

Family visiting from out of town booked a VR session The Deadwood story line Zombies galore and needed two more players. So me and the wife decided to play the game with them. Our general manager Shad was very informative and friendly. We had a great time playing the game. We will definitely be back again. The other game themes are what we want to play.

I remember coming to Vegas years ago when this place was being built and I was always curious about its potential. Now that I've experienced it, I would highly urge anyone that can to visit this place anytime they come to Vegas. I came in a party of 4 and our tickets were about $60 each which is totally justified. Once all the rules and instructions are explained one of the employees will help you strap on sensors for your arms and legs along with the actual VR helmet. Depending on what game you choose you'll get different accessories which in my case were weapons for a zombie game. Once we were inside everything felt so real and immersive. The employee is there monitoring at all times to make sure everything goes smoothly. The game itself was about 30 minutes which might go by slower or quicker depending on your individual experience. For me the game felt like it was much more than that and blew me away. The zombies felt like they were actually coming for me and I had to remind myself that I was playing a game. Once the game is over you get some free videos of your experience which I love to look back at and laugh at myself and friends. The employee who helped us was Rodrick and he really helped us out throughout everything which I appreciate. He gave us a ton of advice and suggestions and you can just tell he loves what he does. Overall loved the experience and will hopefully come back soon.

Yelp Review 2024 #30: We've been planning an activity for a friend's birthday and everybody's busy for several weekends. When we all agreed on a date, we booked our time slot at Sandbox VR at Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian to do Squid Game. I love the show, most of us have seen the show, and only one person has never seen a single episode. We hit the road in separate cars and we all got stuck in traffic! It turns out Rock and Roll Half Marathon was happening and roads were closed especially Las Vegas Boulevard! It took us over an hour to get to the Venetian. We called Sandbox to let them know we were running late to see if they can bump us 30 minutes later and they were understanding of our situation which was very nice. We all got to Sandbox at the new time except for one friend who ended up by the airport after detour upon detour. We were worried they were going to cancel our spot but they let us play but we just had to finish at a specific time because there's a group after us. We read and signed our waivers on the tablets at the lobby. We got geared up starting with cuffs with ball attachments for our wrists and ankles. We selected our avatars and were taken to a room with black walls and flooring, toy guns on the wall and an ottoman where we could put our stuff in. Got the rest of our gear: the vest that vibrates and VR goggles. And off we went with our Squid Game. But one of our friend's equipment wasn't working so we had to wait so they can reset our game. And then, we played our game. Red Light Green Light was of course one of the games. Other games included Simon Says, Tiles, Shapes, Glass Bridge, Catch, etc. From getting our gear to finishing the game, we spent an hour. Don't overthink it and don't have a strategy like I did - the games are tweaked a bit to make it more fun and to make sure nobody dies in real life. If you die, you're only dead for like 5 seconds then, you can move again and keep going until you die again. In the end, the person who won was the one who had never watched Squid Game! Also, make sure everyone's not talking when the rules of the each is being introduced - that's how I lost the last game! I had no clue what was supposed to happen. So sad! If you have motion sickness, this might not be an activity for you. Drink water and empty your bladder before playing. My friend was soaking in sweat after. They also have a zombie shooting game but I'm not having any of that! Overall, it was a very good time. You get to download videos of your game so you can laugh at yourself.

This venue is inside the Grand Canal Shoppes. You must pay for parking at this venue. It is best to sign up for the time slot before showing up. The time slots can get booked pretty quick. We had to wait 1.5 hours for an open slot. You better show up on time. They will cancel your appointment and keep the money if you are more than 5 minutes late. We made sure to be on time. The games are extremely fun. They put sensors on all your limbs and it is very realistic. I love the pictures and videos at the end. I will return to the Atlanta location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Squid Game session. We were a group of 6, which was the full amount of people that could play in one game. Our host, Adi made everything super easy from describing how to put on our sensors and gear to fixing a couple of glitches during gameplay. The graphics were great. It really felt like you were falling through the floor as they also employed fans to replicate the feel of movement. And I loved that you only got a 6-second timeout when "dying" in the game. Wait a few seconds and you were back in the game. The play lasted for about 45 minutes and we got through 6 games. They put together a small video mix of our VR gameplay and real life views. Super fun and enjoyable. Wear breathable and loose clothing. You will get warm, if not sweaty. This location is in the canal area across the bridge from the main plaza area where many of the restaurants are located.

Sandbox VR is located on the Venetian side in the grand canal shops. It was my first time checking this place out and it was easy to do. We walked right inside and asked for availability and had to maybe wait for an hour or so. You can also make reservations before time but we just didn't know what day we had free. It was intense there are different types of play and we picked a zombie one which was kind of scary for me. You are in a large room with a group of players. Walking with the VR headsets and somewhat of a backpack on you. Shooting all the zombies was intense because some wouldn't die because they were the bigger ones. Had a blast with our friends and I would totally do other ones as well!

    Smh horrible

Had a reservation. Walked for 30min. Called 3 times and talked to 3 different ppl, got different directions from each person. Absolutely ridiculous. They had to move my reservation to another time and changed the game, from over 2 min behind, because of their mistake. SMH, horrible 1st experience. Then waited 7min behind our new time for other players, did not end up playing and they refused to give a refund. Will not be coming back to this place or recommending.

4/19/24 915 reservation Party of 2 My fiancé made a reservation for date night here. Located inside of the Venetian (if you're a local, you get 3 hours of free parking). We waited about 20/25 minutes for the other party to be done and we were taken in. You wear these bead like things around your wrists and ankles...very uncomfortable. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! Again DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! $135 for two ppl is quite expensive for an EXTREMELY Cheap VR experience. You can't see, your "weapon" aims into space, you can't hear your teammate.... Beyond disappointed. Only good thing was a cool little video that you get at the end. Save your time and money.

After paying, you fill out the waiver forms on a tablet, secure your stuff in the complimentary school type lockers and you're ready to go. The pre-game screening shows you what to expect from your VR headset and weapon. Afterwards you enter the room and they load up your headset, vest with your VR Rifle attached. The equipment was comfortable, functional and I didn't have any issues. The Warhammer 40K game was 30 minutes long and it was Fantastic. Let me give a brief summary of Warhammer 40K: Imagine the darkest, most over-the-top sci-fi you can think of, then dial it up to eleven. That's 40k. It's set in the far future, like 40,000 years from now, and humanity is basically fighting for its life against everything. The galaxy is just one giant, brutal warzone. The core of it, revolves around the Space Marines. They're genetically engineered, surgically enhanced super-soldiers. They're basically humanity's ultimate weapon, created by the Emperor of Mankind. You and your team play as Space Marines on a mission that got me sweaty by the end of the game. The visual really played on my senses as my fear of heights in this virtual world was kicking in. The aliens that were swarming us kept the heart rate moving and the boss alien we had to battle was a blast. $50 (all in price) per person is probably the most I'd pay for this experience. At the end, you get the final game standings emailed to you along with a 30 second video clip that shows a side by side of what you were seeing in the game vs you in the actual world. Very cool and something to post on your IG story. We'll swing by here again if we come across games that really call to us like Warhammer 40K. Enjoy!

We didn't have reservations. I know not a good thing in Vegas. We were there for my buddy's Birthday. When we got there the clerk said that there was a game starting in 15 minutes but the people who reserved it was for the robot game and not the zombie one. We were disappointed but since we were here we decided to play. We stepped away and came back. The other worker waived us into the room and explained that the group didn't make it and we would be playing the Outbreak game. What luck. He went over a training video on the VR items and how to use the weapons. Then we were lead into the gaming room. It was a large room almost like a warehouse size. SO we had all this area to move around in. The VR headset was tricky lining up at least for me. If you didn't have it square on your eyes it wouldn't be in focus. I finally got it on correctly. The gun can be used as a shotgun or an assault rifle. I stuck with the latter. Reloading was automatic which was good and bad. It was slow but you could press the reload button on the bottom of the rifle. Hard to get used to but quicker. It was really neat. When you got close to a wall or a person a wall of red triangles popped up so you know to move away. The game was a story and easy to follow. It was weird doing VR. It looked like you had to climb a pipe and possibly fall. The guy had to tell us through the headset that you are still on a flat floor and to remember that to move through the obstacles. I had so much fun and I didn't time it but seamed pretty long of a game. I would love to do this again. Definitely make reservations. A must.

Both the adults and kids had a ton of fun with the game, and we all definitely want to come back to try the other games! LOCATION: This Sandbox VR was located within the Miracle Mile by Planet Hollywood. We parked in the main garage, and it was a very short walk to find the actual business (head to the right from the garage entrance), which was fortunate because we didn't know where in the Miracle Mile shops it was. The storefront was super easy to find, and there was a Squid Game worker mannequin out front, so the vibes were already there. SERVICE: The employee was super welcoming and guided us through the waiver and sign in process, took our pictures for our game profiles, and gave us clear directions on where to go once we headed upstairs. Once upstairs we were met by another employee who gave us the rundown and helped us suit up. GAMEPLAY: Once we were suited up, the games got started. We have VR headsets at home so the immersion was familiar, but the sounds and the wind added to the feel as well. I won't spoil the games, but it was so fun! AFTERWARDS: Once we were done and took off the VR components, we headed back downstairs thinking we were done - but they showed us three videos that were highlight reels from our time, mixed between what we looked like IRL and from within the gameplay itself - so cool! The best part was that they send you an email that has the link to all the videos, so we got to share it with our friends and family. CONCLUSION: Definitely on the slightly pricier side at $60 a person, but well worth it for the experience and immersion! The game was fun, engaging, and not too scary (worst part were the 'drops' from falling, and definitely not as scary as some of the shooter/zombie games, but with an 11 year-old with us, we didn't want to go too scary. The host was friendly, informative and cool guy, no issues. Upstairs we got briefed for our mission and equipment usage. This is my 2nd VR experience. So I was hoping for it to be similar or enhanced. I saw there was about 4 rooms, fairly open, but the main thing was there wasn't anything blocking the sound from the other room. So you can hear screams and yells from the room, meh, not a fan of that. Mel, helped us get prepped about what to expect, super helpful. As we got calibrated, Mel was talking to use through the headset, you can hear the folks screaming in the background. The graphics were ok, I would compare to a PS3. They did make elements of realism like audio and wind elements. You could see below through goggles because there was a gap. We did the Catalyst game mode, where you have a a stick like controller, to use your telekinesis powers. Im surprised there wasn't a wrist strap, I wonder how many times people have toss it? The gameplay was pretty fun, you have various hand motions and gestures. You have to duck, dodge and strafe. So wear comfortable sneakers! The audio kept going in and out, which kinda ruined the experience. I'm saying, if I'm paying for $60 for about 30-40 mins, it better be a positive experience! At the end, you will get out of breath, so head over to the ABC store for a cool beverage. The plus side, was that you get to download your experience video for free! Also you get a 20% off your next experience. The one I went to was in a big corridor where we actually had to move around, dark, and you were an actually afraid to move around. So overall, would I come back? I guess so, because of that discount.

If I could leave a negative review I would! The location located in the circus circus ran by…read moreKatherine is a scammer she says she will give one price then charges a different amount. She had pulled my wife to the side and was whispering and trying to just have a conversation with her since she felt she could get money out of her... Well while whispering prices she says she would do 2 vr rides for $20 for my 5yo daughter.Great I hear that and say that's fine we will do the "$20" ride. Well after Katherine takes my wife to the side to charge her to start off she charges her $38.99 and never mentioned no refunds just charged the card! I don't realize this because I'm thinking it's $20 but after the first ride my 5yo gets motion sickness so she only does one ride and gets off... I would have been fine paying the $20 but no I come to find out they are charging a whole different amount than what was talked about. This place is a scam and I hope Katherine gets fired and if it's a family business situation watch out! I spoke to one of the workers and the person even said they have seen 3 other situations that were similar just happen in the last month!! This hasn't been the first and last time they will do this so be careful and before they charge if you are still willing to do the rides make sure the charge is what was told!!!
