She couldn't say enough about how well he took care of her and her family before they moved out of the area. We decided to give him a try. My family has been seeing him ever since. He is great. He does ask the right questions and answers your questions if you have them. He's very personable. His new location which they have been at for several years now is a one stop shop so to speak so if you need an X-ray or blood draw it's far more convenient now than before. I pleaded with him to do something about the pain, and all he said was "it will go away" Saw another doctor the following day, who immediately put me on strong antibiotics, and was astonished that my doctor did nothing. Called Kalenowski's office a few days later, spoke to HR about my pointless visit and suggested they not bill my insurance company after making me see another doctor to get proper treatment. She called me back a week later and said Dr. Kalenowski is going to bill my insurance even after his pointless checkup. He's lost a customer (3 actually, the rest of my family used to see him) and I am going to fight him with my insurance company. I'm done with his rude and arrogant attitude.

I called the hospital after to advocate. It took 2 weeks just to get a call back, and that was only after escalating to the head of a department (which since then they've made impossible). No one answers the phone, you must leave a message, and no one you call returns phone calls without an escalation, so you can see the issue. They promised a meeting with staff to address the issue of their having *NO* way to provide medication to someone who is unable to get to a pharmacy that day. This is a problem on 3-day weekends where their patient pharmacy is closed. The nurse told me I couldn't get a ride home either. I had to teach her how that worked, and she insisted on doing it in a way that I knew would not work, and it didn't. If you're disabled avoid this hospital like the plague. Then I got a bill and to get it sorted, because they assured me it was my insurance carrier's issue, took over 8 hours on the phone, on hold for 40 minute periods at a time. Turns out someone didn't read my insurance carrier's EoB, coded the payment wrong, sent me a bill, and wasted 8 hours of my life, and no charge, so it is like they are getting a free employee for a day to do what their employees should have done, and also to supplement a call center with regular wait times of 1/2 hour or more. This used to be a good hospital. Current ownership and management and inability to proper staff this hospital makes it extremely dangerous.
