Vornado black heater, looks good, and a terrible purchase. It broke after the first week, and we had to return it, which is always a pain. It was on backorder. Then that one broke after 3 months, and we bought another one. Then this year we went to turn on the heater we bought last year and it did not work (again). That is three heaters which failed and broke (did not start again). It is great for the people who wanted it fixed and the company fixed it. But I have two other heaters which STILL work that are ten years old. So, I am with Roy, don't waste your money. read more

it finally broke down on Jan 4, 2020. it wont turn on after anymore at least 2 years or years of working. I have an older model fan that the construction or custodian employees would use with the yellow cover and the small stand it comes with and the side of the fan that can be unscrewed and re-screwed and to lock it into place. vornado will not own up to their products if they break down. its not worth the money if i cant get a lifetime warrenty to fix their crap. i really dont appreciate having to go out and buy another especially since I cant afford to and buying these from a home department store is hard because this one at the time was the last one they had about 2 years ago. they are hot sellers but when they break eventually they arent worth the money and not worth going thru all that trouble to get it. based off other reviews it is not worth anything trying to get them to fix it because they simply dont care. they just want to sell all of the product they have left off for that year and repeat their same actions over again and plan to live off of selling and not repairing their products. it sounds like they are getting too comfortable with this method and it will eventually back fire for them once more people start realizing it. read more

I bought a Vornado heater model VMH500 in Dec 2019, with a 3 year warranty. It started making a rattling noise in Feb 2021, I emailed them about it and the warranty. They were temporarily out of stock on it so they sent me a free PVH whole room heater to hold me over, and said to check back a couple months later. I did, and they were in stock of the VMH500, so they immediately shipped one out to me FedEx for free as per the warranty. The PVH heater was also mine to keep for free! I didn't have to pay a dime for shipping or anything. All communication was done via email (which is good because I hate calling), and all I had to do was send pictures proving my old heater was disabled, before they sent me the PVH (and then later the VMH500). Great and fast customer service, and great products! read more

Amazing products and service. It's a crap shoot whether or not I remember to fill out those pesky warranty cards. Most recently my almost two year old humidifier's reservoir began to leak. I easily went on their website, was directly connected with a representative who heard the issue and determined there was probably a hairline crack. I have bought several Vornado fans and they are consistently a good investment. During my time as an operations manager, I purchased only Vornado fans for my employer. They are quiet, powerful and economical. I added WD40 to one of my fans hoping it would make it work better and it was a mistake. I threw it out and bought a new one. I just turned the speed knob on the small fan model 530 and broke it off. I called the company and explained this to the person who answered the phone. He just asked for my address and is sending the replacement part - that is it. I wasn't transferred to another department. I wasn't asked when I purchased and if I have a receipt. Best room heater that I have ever purchased! It is quiet, adequately warms a room, outside of heater never gets hot, always remains cool no matter how long it has been on. Automatically turns off if it is accidently knocked over. It has three temperature settings and comes with a 5 year warranty. We absolutely love it! No complaints! read more

After a defective product, I filed a claim for a replacement product. After I submitted my photos of the product on an online portal, cut the cord and shipped to the address they provided to me, I heard nothing. When I followed up, they said they didn't provide me a shipping label or receive any of my photos. Well.. to no fault of my own, I'm out a steamer and no one seems to be able to help me. I am a fan! Get it? -_- Heater joke. Anyway, so yeah, these heaters are grrreat! The first one I ordered was a small model and that really was not good for anything. I guess it was a good beginner fan (to get to a know a new brand of heater), however, it seems to overheat way too easily and it just turns off. Basically, it has a mind of its own and to whatever point it decides to cool down, is when it resumes doing what it needs to do. Needless to say, I was still curious on the advertisement of this heater. The take home message was that it not only could heat up a room, but the entire room, would be an even temperature (other heaters could not do this, apparently). I kept using their product and upgraded to the next biggest model and apparently, the product has more air intake (which is always good, circulates more air per second) and the problem with this model was, whenever it reached a certain temperature, it would stop until I had to turn the heater level knob. Okay so, one could see this faired better than the smaller model, which would completely overheat and then shut off. -_- This next big model and the current one I have, has a thermometer and it is more specific in terms of temperature. If you need the room to be an exact 65, it can do that and it is amazing at doing it. The max is 90 degrees! The only thing that is odd is, between this model and the last model, the air intake is smaller. Unlike the last heater, where the air intake was on three sides, this only has the average "behind the fan blade" air intake. So far, I have to say that this heater does live up to expectations and even because of this, there does not seem to be any problems. Does it save money? I do not know. I mean my electric bill this last month came out to $94 and it was still under $100, so I guess that is good. Being a whole room heater, yes it did heat my room to what I wanted. In fact, in my room alone, it could bring it up 2 degrees per 10 minutes! Never had to use the warranty; although, they definitely encourage returns if you need it. The warranty is for 5 years and that is HUGE! Pretty much, if this thing breaks, you can either return it or get your money back. SATISFACTION seems to be first priority. read more

Vornado offers QUALITY products! It's getting harder and harder to find quality products these days, but Vornado has quality products. A lot of Vornado fans have a full 5-Year warranty. Some of their newest DC fans have a 10-Year warranty. These are full warranties, not tricky "limited" warranties. Just look at Vornado's competitor: Lasko... Lasko fans only have a one or two year warranty depending on the model. read more

Wow!!!....just wow! A few days ago I was informed of Vornado's legendary customer service and how they stand by their product so I decided to look into it. I have a 12'inch circulator fan from 1993 and other than the fan shroud where the clips to keep the front cover in place have broken, the fan is in pristine condition and runs as strong as the day of purchase. So I called Vornado to ask if they still carry the replacement shroud and immediately after the rep established the particular model I have, he ask for my home address which I provided, I then ask how much would this cost?..and he replied "no charge..it'll arrive by FedEx in 3 days or so". A 24 year old fan from 1993 and you're still going to send out a replacement part free of charge! How amazingly loyal is that?!? After experiencing this kind of loyalty from a company in 2017, Vornado can consider me a loyal customer for life! ;-) read more

Best customer service. Had purchased a Vornado heater for supplement heat for grandson in his room while he was living with us. On one day heater just would not turn on( no power) called the company and had new one mailed out to us the next day. This is a company like no other; the quality of the product, innovation of design, excellence of the customer service, and strength of the warranty; Vornado sets the bar so high, why even consider anything else? I have seven Vornados between home and my office (including two antique models); recently had a motor fail, contacted the company to ask about buying a replacement motor and was told it had a limited lifetime warranty (bought it over 15 years ago), if I mailed it back they would repair it no charge, even pay return shipping. Three days after sending back to them, it arrived today, cleaned like it's brand-new and with a new motor, no charge. Jenny in customer service was incredibly helpful and efficient, and to top it all off they included a 20% off coupon for future purchases, no expiration and free shipping.
