Story time I've bought a few firearms in my time . And these people treat you like your special .. In reality they had no idea that the 1951 remington 870 wingmaster 12 gauge that I bought with them online is ready to pick up less than 48 hrs after purchasing . It also fulfilled an obligation that I personally owed to my grandfather you see when I was 8-9 yrs old my grandfather owned this exact gun I used it everyday every chance I got when I turned 18 my grandfather passed but not before he gave me that old gun . A few years went by fell on hard times trying to raise some kids of my own I sold that old gun .. now that I'm in my 70s I spent a life haunted by the fact that I did.. thanks to great and friendly service I can once again wrap my old hands around something that will take me back many years and a lot of memories . The price I paid for this beautiful gun .. was awesome as well I only wish I could shake your hands Thanks for making an old man smile!!! read more

I have been dealing with Michael Murphy and Sons for several years. Every time, every experience has been positive. When my sons were younger and we had a limited budget, the Murphy family was there to help me as a dad get shotguns my boys could be proud to own. As we all got older, they have helped friends and family get the best deal within any price range we had. My boys are grown, but I still work with kids and still have a limited budget. Marc and family have never hesitated to help. Because of them, a lot of young men and women have had the best sporting guns available to them and at least here in Western Massachusetts, we have a growing group of young people keeping clay shooting alive and well. Thanks don't convey the impact the Murphy family has had on young people here. They will always get my business. read more

I have not visited the actual gun store but I have purchased from Murphy & Sons over the internet and I could not be more pleased. My experience makes me want to visit their entire staff in person I purchased a Ruger Blackhawk Stainless Steel .357 Magnum and it was delivered to my FFL transfer agent this morning and I picked it up this afternoon. For a 43 year old single action revolver, this Ruger is in absolute mint condition. It was truly superior to both the online photographs and description you provided. What a gem! I am most appreciative for making this enti transaction so outstanding! All of Murphy's timely communications, rapid delivery and a first-class vintage Ruger make for a very memorable and positive purchase. read more

I was very impressed with the professionalism from Michael Murphy and Sons. I purchased an absolutely beautiful Engraved Remington Model 760 BDL pump-action rifle from them and they were absolutely wonderful to work with. The shipping was lightning fast and they provided a prompt tracking number by email, so that I knew when my rifle was going to arrive. I've done hundreds upon hundreds of online firearm transactions and these folks are "TOP-SHELF" with excellent customer service! I dealt with a gentleman named Marc and he was always super fast to reply to all my emails. I highly recommend them to everyone. Enjoy life, Bob @ S and S HUNTCLUB read more

A very well-run business! In January 2025, I purchased a rifle, based on pictures and their description of its condition, online. I just wrote them to tell them how much I like and enjoy it. Every now an then, a pleasant surprise comes your way, and this was one of them. It turns out the rifle description was quite modest; I received a beautiful rifle with a mauser action. Yes, a few scratches and dings, but looking at it, these are not what you notice. The lines, the wood, the smooth functioning of the action are what you notice. I would buy from these gentlemen again in a heartbeat. read more

I recently had a transaction with Michael Murphy And Sons where I had a Beretta 682 over and under that was mainly a Trap gun. It is a beautiful gun but I wanted something shorter without such a high rib as I will use it for sporting clays and bird hunting. His selection of high quality over and unders is second to none. He worked with me and we made a deal on a trade for a Browning Citori. The gun is in great shape shoots good and he was great to work with. I highly recommend if you are in the market for any type of firearm you check out his website. Phil Maxwell read more

I was looking for a replacement barrel for my old Benelli Super Black Eagle 1. Since the gun is left hand, I was worried I would never find a left hand, 28", camo barrel. Marc Murphy, with Michael Murphy & Sons, found the exact barrel I wanted for my old shotgun. Customer service was great as Marc promptly responded to my multiple email questions. Payment and shipping were quick and easy. I definitely recommend Michael Murphy & Sons to anyone looking for a new gun or replacement part. read more
