    Cecilia 11th bd cake

I ordered a cake for my daughter 11th birthday, everyone absolutely devoured the cake. It was so fresh and flavorful , to no surprise. Micki is so awesome, she works with you and she is so easy to get in contact with, never leaves you hanging. I've ordered cakes, cupcakes and candy ....I've never been disappointed.... Your the best !!!

Absolutely fantastic! I ordered a cake for my retirement ceremony and I was not disappointed. The cake was very delicious and the design was exactly what I asked for. I am a very highly satisfied customer. The price was very reasonable as well.

The customer service was amazing! Michelle Bourgeois was extremely passionate and excited to come up with the cake just as much as I was!

Me and my wife wanted a little dessert after a long day. They were 30 mins from closing and a 20…read moreminute walk. Luckily they were so nice to us when we arrived and said they didn't even realize it was almost closing time. We got a salted caramel cupcake which was delicious, a regular brownie which was the star of everything, insanely moist and just amazingly delicious. The cake balls weren't very special but not horrible. The aesthetic of the place is nice, the workers were nice and the desserts were great. Definitely will have to stop by again before leaving NOLA.

Batter is such a vibe. From the moment I walked up I was already sold on the cute pink aesthetic…read moreand once you step inside, it just gets better. The interior is bright, inviting, and full of beautifully displayed sweets that honestly made it so hard to choose. There were so many options that I got a little overwhelmed... and somehow ended up going with the simplest thing on the menu a chocolate chip cookie I know, I know. But honestly? No regrets. I loved that they shape their cookies like little scooped dough balls so you can tell they're fresh and made with care. It had that soft, bakery-style feel that I'm always looking for. I also got the carrot cake latte. It was good and I appreciated that I could actually taste the coffee, which is a big plus for me. But if I'm being honest it didn't really give carrot cake. It wasn't as sweet or spiced as I expected. Would I get it again? Probably not. But I didn't dislike it either it just didn't wow me. One thing I really loved was the service and atmosphere. They greeted me straight from the kitchen, which felt super warm and welcoming. There's also plenty of seating making it a great spot to hang out, catch up with a friend or just enjoy a quiet moment with a coffee. Even though my order was simple, I left feeling excited to come back. There's still so much I want to try. I also think their coffee itself is really good, I just need to find the right drink for me. Overall, Batter is definitely a spot I'll be returning to. Cute, creative, and full of potential, I just know I'm going to find my go-to order soon.

My favorite drink is back! It's the matcha coconut water which I believe is a spring and summer…read moreseasonal drink now, and it's as good as I remember. The drink was $7.14 which isn't too bad, but the taste is great. It's very refreshing and not heavy at all. I came on a Sunday morning and the inside was a little busy, so I decided to sit outside. They have maybe 4 tables outside with music playing so it was quite nice. One more thing -- i really like the cup lid. Sometimes you'll go to a place and the lid makes it really hard to get an even stir/shake but with their lid it's so easy as you just plug the top with a finger and shake. Small detail but it's something I appreciated. The matcha coconut water is a must try!

Dough Nguyener's Bakery -- 4…read more Dough Nguyener's really introduced me and my son to the flavors of ube and pandan... and I still can't believe I went my whole life without them. Like where have I been?! We are forever grateful for that alone. As someone who already loves Vietnamese culture through food here in New Orleans, this place just hits. Vietnamese coffee is a staple for me--not even for energy, but for the flavor. If you know, you know... that bold, strong, chicory-meets-condensed-milk moment. It's rich, it's cultural, it's intentional. And when you start adding things like pandan cold foam? Simple, but it speaks volumes about the influence and beauty of the Vietnamese community here. I respect it, deeply. Now let's talk about that Croffle... a croissant-waffle situation. I went with the Chantilly and berries because... you already know, I'm gonna choose what feels like home every time. The cream was smooth, the fruit was fresh, everything worked. My only thing--personally--it was a little heavy on the almonds for me. Still good, just my preference. We also had The American--eggs, bacon, French ham, hand-cut fries, garlic aioli, and a baguette. I shared it with my son and made my own little sandwich moment with it. Used the aioli as a base, layered the eggs, bacon, and ham... and I feel like that's exactly what it was meant for. Solid, simple, and filling. I've tried a few other things too like the bánh mì and donuts. The bánh mì was good, donuts were okay... not my go-to for that. But that frozen cocktail? Listen... it was TOO good. Took it to a festival with me and between that drink and that sun, I slept the whole festival away lol. Overall, I'll definitely be back. I still want to try more from the kitchen--especially that chicken everybody keeps talking about. This is a great spot for early weekend brunch, late evening studying, or weekday coffee runs. Not too small, not too big. Beautiful lighting. A really good addition to Gretna.
