Lady B is amazing! We flew down to New Orleans to celebrate our son's 21st birthday and once I saw her cakes online, I knew she had to bake us one. She called me back immediately, was so easy to work with, so accomodating and was able to bring my ideas to life!! The cake looked beautiful and tasted amazing! Definitely made the night!

I sent a last minute custom cake request via email and Lady B immediately responded! She was able to whip up an amazing birthday + Mardi Gras 6" fondant cake within 2 weeks, without charging us a rush fee. She provided an itemized quote, and it was really easy to pay via QuickBooks. We had vanilla cake, strawberry frosting, and blackberry rosemary filling. She even added personalized icing that said "Happy 24th, Jacolyn!" We requested gold, green, purple, a mask, some fleur de lis, and some beaded necklaces--and she went above and beyond. She even gave us a free sparkler candle. She delivered the cake directly to our hotel promptly, even amidst all the backed up Mardi Gras traffic. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone in town!

Ok... if I could give 10 stars, I would!! I tried some of Lady B's Cake for the Culture jars recently and they knocked my socks off. My socks are probably on the moon at this point - that's how good these cakes were. The cake jars are a perfect size and the cake stays moist and flavorful. My favorite, hands down, was Shea Butter, the June flavor of the month. It was chocolate brownie cake, espresso ganache, sea salt peanut buttercream, and a caramel drizzle. All of the textures and flavors went together perfectly. A close second was the Melanin Chocolate (JUMP ON THIS). It is a rich chocolate cake layered with dark chocolate ganache and topped with salted caramel and toasted cocoa nibs. Honestly, there was not a single one I disliked. Support local during this time and get sweets from Lady B's!

Amazing cakes and wonderful service! I was looking for a cake delivery service in New Orleans to help my husband feel special for his birthday while he was away for work. I was visiting from out of town and found this spot on Yelp. I had no idea what to expect- the reviews were good but I was still unsure! We picked up in a cake close to downtown Nola and I was so happy with the result. I selected the option for her to take creative control and she more than delivered! All I have to say is WOW! I got the opportunity to sample some of Lady B's Cake for the Culture Cake jars recently and they were absolutely delicious! I recently ordered some on today (sooo excited!) because these cake jars are just that good. The cake remains soft and moist and the icing flavors are so divine. Soon as you pop one of these jars open, it feels like you have a little slice of heaven at your fingertips. I love all things chocolate, so the "Melanin Chocolate" flavor (Rich Decadent Chocolate Cake, Layered With a Whipped Dark Chocolate Ganache Topped with a Salted Caramel Drizzle & Toasted Cocoa Nibs) + the flavor of the month "Shea Butter": (Layers of Chocolate Brownie Cake, Espresso Ganache, Sea Salt Peanut Buttercream Frosting. Topped with a Caramel Drizzle) were my absolute favorites. The espresso ganache in the Shea Butter is the perfect touch that takes the simple idea of a cake jar to a whole new level of exquisite. We have yet to try her cakes but i wanted to write about our experience with chef Baindu. I sent her a photo of a minimalist bday cake to send to our student in Tulane University as a surprise. We set it up but unfortunately had to cancel as our bday girl suddenly had changed her plans 4 days before the delivery date , making it a bit difficult to coordinate the delivery. Chef Baindu did not bat an eyelash and credited us right away! Needless to say, I was pleased with how professional she was and understanding. We are hoping to use her services soon, and will certainly go to her for any cake delivery needs. read more

We were coming to New Orleans to celebrate a 86th Birthday and made arrangements for Lady B's to create a custom decorated cake for 30 people as well as deliver it to the restaurant. They were so gracious and easy to work with and I could not believe how beautiful the cake was and we hated to cut into it. The cake was moist decadent and the buttercream was unbelievable. It was so good I recommended her to cater a few events at my job (Facebook HQ). She catered desserts of course, also her amazingggg mac and cheese, as well as chicken & waffles to name a few. Me and my family were visiting NewOrleans from Chicago for a birthday getaway. My brother and I wanted to surprise our wives with a b-day cake. We located Lady B and she contacted us moments before we were about to enter another bakery. On short notice she hooked us up with a strawberry cheesecake that blew our minds. It was honestly the best cheese cake I ever had and I'm 51 years old and don't like cheese cake all that much. But I could have eaten the entire cake on my own if my people would have let me. Meet the Business Owner: Baindu S.

In West Philadelphia where I was born and raised, the kitchen is where I spent most of my days. Chopping, peeling, and prepping meals with my grandmother, she instilled a lot of values and traditions in me throughout childhood. Although there was a language barrier when speaking with her, when it came down to it, we spoke the language of food. My West African roots and our traditions inspired me to become the classically trained chef that I am today. No matter what dialogue you speak, great food is undeniable; it speaks for itself. Lady B's on a mission to create meals that bring people together. Celebratory events always seem to bring families and friends together. From the city of Brotherly Love, classically trained Chef Baindu Squire's (Aka Lady B) been putting her culinary stamp on desserts for over a decade. "My food journey has been one of the most diverse and interesting adventures yet. Putting my eclectic spin on it has been the most rewarding part of being in the industry!"

I inquired about a birthday cake from LadyB's website, was contacted promptly, and after a few seconds' conversation, felt secure enough to order based on professionalism and the knock-out cakes photographed on the site. A few days later, right on time, a cake was delivered to my son's house and Chef Baindu had taken my minimal instructions ("please write 'Snake Jazz' on the top") and created a fun and funny masterpiece-- with snake lettering and icing grass growing up the sides of the cake. I found Lady B's Cakes of New Orleans when I went searching for a bakery willing to deliver outside of the city. This business is truly a treasure and the owner is an AMAZING baker with high level customer service.
