I was visiting from out of town and found this spot on Yelp. I had no idea what to expect- the reviews were good but I was still unsure! We picked up in a cake close to downtown Nola and I was so happy with the result. I selected the option for her to take creative control and she more than delivered! The result honestly brought tears to my eye, it was such a beautiful cake to celebrate my birthday. I can't recommend enough, from design to taste to service. Thank you!!! read more

Lady B is amazing! We flew down to New Orleans to celebrate our son's 21st birthday and once I saw her cakes online, I knew she had to bake us one. I sent a last minute custom cake request via email and Lady B immediately responded! She was able to whip up an amazing birthday + Mardi Gras 6" fondant cake within 2 weeks, without charging us a rush fee. She provided an itemized quote, and it was really easy to pay via QuickBooks. We had vanilla cake, strawberry frosting, and blackberry rosemary filling. She even added personalized icing that said "Happy 24th, Jacolyn!" We requested gold, green, purple, a mask, some fleur de lis, and some beaded necklaces--and she went above and beyond. She even gave us a free sparkler candle. She delivered the cake directly to our hotel promptly, even amidst all the backed up Mardi Gras traffic. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone in town! read more

Ok... if I could give 10 stars, I would!! I tried some of Lady B's Cake for the Culture jars recently and they knocked my socks off. My socks are probably on the moon at this point - that's how good these cakes were. The cake jars are a perfect size and the cake stays moist and flavorful. My favorite, hands down, was Shea Butter, the June flavor of the month. It was chocolate brownie cake, espresso ganache, sea salt peanut buttercream, and a caramel drizzle. All of the textures and flavors went together perfectly. A close second was the Melanin Chocolate (JUMP ON THIS). It is a rich chocolate cake layered with dark chocolate ganache and topped with salted caramel and toasted cocoa nibs. Honestly, there was not a single one I disliked. Lady B's is the absolute best! She provided the best cake I have ever tried in my life. Let me start by saying she is the easiest and sweetest person to work with. She is so professional and kind. I asked if she could help make a custom cake for my sisters 40th birthday and it was so breathtaking. She delivered it to the location on time and the whole experience was seem less. I will attach pictures so you can see how gorgeous the cake is. I sent her pictures of what kind of look we were going for and it turned out so incredible. We wanted the cake to have flavors of my families culture, and she helped us come up with something so tasty. You want to go with Lady B, I can't recommend her enough! read more

Ordered a cake for my friend's 40th birthday celebration in NOLA. Ordering, communication, and delivery were great. The cake was beautiful and the cake itself (chocolate cake w/raspberry filling) was very good, but unfortunately we did not like the frosting. I asked when ordering what kind of buttercream she uses because I know people make different types. I was told it was sweet, but not overly sweet, and similar to that of Publix. It was not sweet at all and the texture was more stiff (similar to cold butter). I would be willing to try other items/flavors in the future. Note: I provided the topper. read more

Amazing cakes and wonderful service! I was looking for a cake delivery service in New Orleans to help my husband feel special for his birthday while he was away for work. Baindu not only answered my questions promptly, she went the extra mile with the decorations and even delivered the cakes to him personally! He was thrilled to get 4 cake jars. He said they were amazing and even brought up how good they were a month later! The only negative thing about this experience was that I wasn't able to sample them. Highly recommend read more

I researched several black owned bakeries in New Orleans as I was planning to be in the city for a good friend's QuaranTined 40th birthday. Lady B was professional, accommodating and delicious. The owner was able to mimic a picture I found off the internet all while making this cake our own. I loved it! The birthday girl loved it! Lady B hand delivered the cake due to Covid and was right on time. I'd recommend her services if you're in the need for an amazing cake or desert. read more

All I have to say is WOW! I got the opportunity to sample some of Lady B's Cake for the Culture Cake jars recently and they were absolutely delicious! I recently ordered some on today (sooo excited!) because these cake jars are just that good. The cake remains soft and moist and the icing flavors are so divine. Soon as you pop one of these jars open, it feels like you have a little slice of heaven at your fingertips. I love all things chocolate, so the "Melanin Chocolate" flavor (Rich Decadent Chocolate Cake, Layered With a Whipped Dark Chocolate Ganache Topped with a Salted Caramel Drizzle & Toasted Cocoa Nibs) + the flavor of the month "Shea Butter": (Layers of Chocolate Brownie Cake, Espresso Ganache, Sea Salt Peanut Buttercream Frosting. Topped with a Caramel Drizzle) were my absolute favorites. The espresso ganache in the Shea Butter is the perfect touch that takes the simple idea of a cake jar to a whole new level of exquisite. Chef Baindu also does special event catering and cakes! Her delicious desserts are definitely worth a try. read more

We have yet to try her cakes but i wanted to write about our experience with chef Baindu. I sent her a photo of a minimalist bday cake to send to our student in Tulane University as a surprise. We set it up but unfortunately had to cancel as our bday girl suddenly had changed her plans 4 days before the delivery date , making it a bit difficult to coordinate the delivery. Chef Baindu did not bat an eyelash and credited us right away! Needless to say, I was pleased with how professional she was and understanding. We are hoping to use her services soon, and will certainly go to her for any cake delivery needs. read more

Me and my family were visiting NewOrleans from Chicago for a birthday getaway. My brother and I wanted to surprise our wives with a b-day cake. We located Lady B and she contacted us moments before we were about to enter another bakery. On short notice she hooked us up with a strawberry cheesecake that blew our minds. It was honestly the best cheese cake I ever had and I'm 51 years old and don't like cheese cake all that much. But I could have eaten the entire cake on my own if my people would have let me. Highly, highly, highly recommend if you're in NewOrleans and want some sweet treats. Highly recommend... :) read more
