However, when I followed up closer to the wedding day (probably a couple months ahead of the big day), Chez Ru Rene's phone number was disconnected. From what I could tell online, they appeared to go out of business. Maybe they only closed for a brief time or were in the process of moving or something, as I see they seem to be up and running again. I don't know what happened back in 2019; all I know is I had to scramble to find another vendor for my wedding cake and was very disappointed that no one ever got in touch with me to explain or apologize.
