It is not just Nazi paraphernalia for sale. The owner has painted over pieces with messages like "F*CK JEWS" or "F*CK JUDEN" and has added Swastika armbands to many people in the paintings. One of Jesus has been painted over so that he has blonde hair & blue eyes with the word "F*CK" above Jesus & "JEWS" below him. Another person in a piece has been altered by him, this one to have an armband with a Star of David and vampire fangs. He is lighting a cluster of dynamite that says "F*CK JUDEN" on a it. The other end of the dynamite is being lit by a Nazi. Another of Jesus has a Swastika added to the chest. There are two small stools he has painted red with large swastikas on the seat. I asked Jimi if he painted over all of them and he confirmed he had. Look- I'm not a conservative Christian, nor am I Jewish. I'm not easily offended. I also don't like censorship. But I can't believe anyone with a conscience wouldn't be appalled to see so many anti Semitic words and images created by a business owner. It's been proven, time and time again, that words & images promoting antisemitism leads to behavior ranging from defacing property to violence. Idk what the fuck is going on behind closed doors or who the owner is and what they do, but the energy in this store is beyond evil and dark. I was already shocked by all the nazism and antisemitism in this store as this place is somehow still open (and the way these people make money, I don't even WANT to know.) Almost none of the reviews mention this so let me shine a light. On every surface that conceivably have a swastika painted onto it, there is a swastika painted onto it. There is also no shortage of Confederate memorabilia and a Japanese imperial sun, the latter of which is tattooed onto the hand of the owner. The most charming piece or artwork frames a well-know Jewish religious figure making an obscene gesture at the viewer with an antisemitic comment sprawled over His holy visage. I am not myself Jewish, but I had eaten latkes earlier this week, and I think that was enough to make me feel viscerally unwelcome. Barring all that, they had some nice clothes, and if you're earning six figures in a double income no kids household, you might be able to afford some of them. read more

My wife and I thought we stumbled upon an amazing oddities shop after grabbing dinner at Libertine, which is just down the street. And there are plenty of strange and amazing (yet overpriced) items to peruse. But, this is far overshadowed by the fact that that the place is littered with amateurish, swastika-emblazoned art. It all seemed to have been made by the owner, who looks like an Asian Ozzy Osbourne impersonator. Likewise, there were loads of other random Nazi paraphernalia lying around the place. At times it was unclear whether the owner really supported this kind of blatant racism/fascism or whether it was just a juvenile attempt at shocking the average shopper. I love thrifting and I love weird hole in the wall thrift shops, but I gotta say, I do NOT love white supremacist symbols. This shop is FILLED with art and items displaying swastikas and numerous books about the Third Reich and Nazi history. My Jewish boyfriend and I walked in, looked around, and immediately felt disgusted and unwelcome. There is absolutely no reason in 2016 to peddle symbols of hate, and there are plenty of thrift stores in Dallas that don't glorify (the still very alive and kicking) hatred that led to racist genocide. Nope. A huge fan of curiosity and thrift shops, my hubby and I were thrilled to find this place open after grabbing a drink at Libertine. They might have some cool (yet,overpriced) trinkets, but the myriad of truly terrible (aesthetically) "art" clad with swastikas and the pile of Hitler books made this place a no go for us.
