Come to the store to buy a money order and am told with no supporting documentation that they only take cash for a money order. If I have to go to the bank and get cash why would I come back and give my business to a store with a "SUPERVISOR" named Ricky Chal that has the absolutely worst customer service and attitude. Stopped by since I was in the area and I was a bit disappointed, on Friday's they have the $5 dollar deals and I came in to get some roses to find none of the $5 ones it was 9am so maybe I was too early but if something is on sale it should be out when the store opens right ? Terrible terrible service. This is probably the second review I've written in my life. That should tell you how terrible this experience was. I came in to grab a gift card and flowers for a friends graduation. As I came in I realized I needed to use the restroom. I asked "Victoria" where the restroom was. She acted annoyed that I interrupted her and pointed to the far end front of the store. When i got there it required a code. I went all the way back to where she was and asked her for the code. She said she could not give it to me and that someone would need to walk me in. I told her it would have been nice if she'd let me know before I went over there that I would need to ask for a teammember to let me in. She pointed to a group of teammembers and told me they could help me. When I asked one of the teammembers if they could let me into the restroom he gave me the code. As I was checking out at the register today the bagger and checker were having a loud conversation. They were discussing free ranged chickens verses caged chickens. "Wouldn't you want your chicken to have been happy"? The checker says as she's scanning the roasted chicken I purchased. I went in to return an item that I found cheaper at a different store. Customer Service Rep Sandy was not very polite or helpful. I don't come to Vons for grocery shopping. I come to Vons for their deli, bakery and floral department. I am amazed by the great quailty that can be found at quite reasonable prices in those departments- ESPECIALLY in their bakery and deli areas. Each staff member I have encountered on my visits has always been pleasant and personable. One thing I have also noticed is that it is quite easy to find a staff member at the drop of a hat, when I may have a question to ask. I mostly ask questions in the bakery area regarding if there's any freshly baked "so and so". One of my favorites (and highly recommend trying if you have not already) is their pudding rings. Extremly delicious and inexpensively priced. Another recommendation if you have not yet been informed is their Combo Meal deal in the deli. I love to get it for lunch or dinner. This was by far the worst Vons I have ever gone to. I specifically drove to this Vons to get flowers and a balloon for my grandma. This location has a huge floral section and I assumed they would be able to help me. I simply wanted my tulips cut and put into a vase. The lady that came over to help was destroying my tulips and kept saying this wasn't her job. How hard is it to cut the ends off and put into a vase ? I eventually had to take them away from her and do them myself. All the leaves were bruised and hanging. I then wanted a large balloon and they had none at the cash registers. She proceeded to open up drawers and had no idea. Another lady came over and helped her find some. She then let the balloon go to the ceiling and started laughing... they then had to go find another and blow it up. All in all this took 30 mins... which made me late for my grandma's 90th bday. Drive and go for The vons in upland I did an order from home and it went to this location and it charged me...I immediately called trying to cancel the whole time and it gives no number to contact it was ready for pickup and I don't know if they gave to anyone or not...but I spoke with the store and they assured me they would refund my money it's been 6 days and I haven't received my money back. Wow are these reviews something else. "More diversity"? Classy. I've been coming here for years, usually once a week at most. Customer service is phenomenal, especially the floral department. There's an employee there who really knows her stuff and has made some custom bouquets for me twice which my girlfriend has loved both times. $34 for 2 dozen flowers trimmed, arranged beautifully and tied with a ribbon. Shocks me people are complaining about 20 dollar flowers dying after a week. What exactly are you expecting? Ridiculous. The Just 4 U app is fantastic. The savings really add up. This past trip my girlfriend and I saved $140. Check often, add the coupons. The deals can be fantastic. Starbucks and Jamba Juice are there if that's your thing. Cashiers are fast and efficient, never had an issue with rudeness. The store is clean and organized well. Never had any issues with produce either. Hands down though, this is THE place to get alcohol for cheap. 6 bucks for Canadian whiskey, rebates galore for alcohol. Overall, will continue to go here until the world ends. Or I move.
