Decently sized plaza with parking, but it can get quite busy since it's the grocery market serving this community that isn't an Asian or other ethnic owned one/franchise.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Store is well lit and can get busy as mentioned above, but the workers are friendly enough and do their best to cashier out as many customers as possible. They have a sandwich/deli section, hot foods, florals, and everything you'd expect from a standard Vons. This isn't the most up to date or cleanest location with some of the produce I was rifling though being wilted or yellowed, maybe it was not a good time when I visited, but I only want the best for my bearded dragon, so this was a bit disappointing. This is much bigger than my local Vons in West Covina. The plaza is also large with a sprouts and other eateries because of this the parking lot was a mess. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a tight squeeze with people walking around so you have to be very careful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried to use 3 different shopping carts but the wheels were messed up. It was difficult to push. I ended up just using my grocery bags and hauled around the groceries myself on my shoulder. There's a large bakery session. The bagels looked unkept in the afternoon and they had a few bags of "we made too much" that were half off the original price but the bags weren't tied/closed up so I worry about its hygiene or if it was tampered with. I usually expect a decent trip when stopping by Vons, but the customer service at this location was completely unacceptable. I was rung up by a cashier named Natalie, and from start to finish, she made it incredibly obvious she did not want to be there. She had a massive "I'm over this day" face and a matching attitude to go with it. No greeting, no effort, just pure negativity. Look, everyone has tough days, but bringing that kind of miserable attitude to the front lines of customer service is just unprofessional. I just want to thank Johnny for saving us. Someone from Starbucks called out sick and we already placed a mobile order that was accepted. We were rushing to a soccer game and didn't have time to stop anywhere else. Johnny came over and offered to help even though you could see it wasn't part of his normal job description. They have a wide selection of produce, meats, and all sorts of ingredients and other essential food and drink items + the liquor isles are stacked. Customer service is always warm and welcome and they always greet me and wish me a nice day when I leave. This Vons is convenient to my house so I'll come in for digital deals since it's pretty pricey otherwise. Most of the employees are really friendly. I just hate that the cashiers are on their phones during checkout. It's so odd to me but I also was a manager at Albertsons back in 2010 and we couldn't have phones on us at all lol I guess I need to get with the times. It just seems like they're so disconnected with the customer because they're busy on their phones. I had a really disappointing experience at this Vons location. I came in to buy some Truly's and politely asked the woman helping me if I could also get some ice. She said yes--but was on her phone the entire time she was ringing me up, which already felt unprofessional. After I paid, I walked over to grab the ice and double-checked my receipt. I noticed I hadn't been charged for it, so I turned around and kindly said, "Hi, I don't think I was charged for the ice." Her response? "What were you charged for?" I replied, "The Truly's," and she snapped back, "Exactly, that's all you got." I reminded her that I had asked for ice, and instead of handling it professionally or simply charging me for it, she raised her voice and gave me unnecessary attitude. I didn't escalate--I just stood there quietly, shocked at how rude she was, and then walked out. The experience left such a bad impression that I will not be returning to this location. I wish I had gotten her name, but she was a larger woman working at the front around 430pm on 4th of July. Vons, your staff represent your brand. I'm concerned that this Vons doesn't understand the importance of customer service. My first job was as a courtesy clerk and that job taught me the importance of good customer service. I went early this morning to Vons to place a custom cake order for an upcoming family party in the area- I live about 30 mins away. The gentleman at the bakery counter was very kind but did not know how to take a cake order or how to help me and he was the only one in the department as his cake decorator was on break and in his own words " I don't know when she's coming back " He then proceeded to take my info and informed me he would have her call me before she leaves. I asked when she would leave and again he said " I don't know sometime between 9:30 and 11 " Minutes ago I call the bakery and no one answers. I call again 3 more times without an answer. I then decide to call the store and ask for the front end manager ... after waiting several minutes I was sent to a voicemail. I'm concerned about the level care they provide their patrons. Is this not concerning? I would prefer to not give this establishment business and go with someplace else but it's about convenience ... but at this point it's getting ridiculous. read more

This is the nearest store to my place so I am forced to do a lot of shopping here. The employees are polite and helpful but I mainly do self-check out since they don't seem to have too many registers open. The hot food section is terrible. I've tried several different items and they seem to be getting worst. The prices are much more expensive than other stores that are more of a drive but its convenience we are paying, I guess. The parking is not too bad, is best to park away from the entrance since this is a busy shopping center. I do enjoy shopping their Friday deals, seems to always have something I need or want. read more

Horrible customer service. Went in to pick up a few things and got to the self checkout. Waited in line and noticed that people were cutting in line while I waited. Didn't know there were 2 lines . So I stood in one of the 2 sections . When it got to my turn, someone comes in and starts yelling as to who was in line and why there was not a single line. Since I was next in line, this rep tries to stop from checking out and yells at me and only me. I told him that I was waiting in line and people were cutting in line earlier. He then yells and shouts at me for a few minutes. Absolute horrible customer service. David G was the rep and he should not be in charge of this role. update: i trust the yelp review of this store more than their google review, today i came in early at the time they opened to get the big number balloons a 1 and a 6 to be exact (i like my family to see a birthday set up for them as soon as they wake up and everyone gets the number balloons on their birthday) similar to waking up and magically seeing there's christmas presents under the tree. i understand having people show up exactly when they open isn't ideal. However this is the time you open and you are a grocery store that many rely on in this area! i found one ballon and i couldn't find the other, i asked a lady at customer service if i can have help and she was nothing but professional, i make my way back to the floral department and i wait a few mins and finally i see a lady coming to help me out, im then standing by the counter and she enters the area stops by one of the flower displays so there is great distance between us and asks me if im the one who needs help she said it with condescending tone, judgment and sass. i then already had a feeling how this may go. once again i understand it is not ideal to be wanting customers coming in as you just opened asking you to do things for them but as a grocery store that has these things available you should understand this comes with working there. she then asked with more condescending tone "what KIND of ballon's are you looking for?." ... hmm lady idk maybe the kind in this department that needs employee assistance unless you want me to go behind the counter n start looking on my own and filling up my own balloons with helium. i was polite bc i understood even tho they have these things available for customers it was still early and probably not ideal i told her "like these" while holding up one of the numbers i needed and i also let her know i needed a second number i couldn't find and was hoping she'd look around for me she asked with her tone if i looked already and i told her yes and then came over finally after standing a great distance away from me and said sometimes they aren't where they should be, witch is valid, that's why i looked before i came asking. she shuffled the pack around and then went behind the counter looked around (quite literally) and started opening and basically shutting the cabinets. i'll give it to her it did seem like she actually looked but said "mmh no i do see it" and asked if i wanted a different one. i didn't want her to help out any more as it was clear she was already having to do her job and help me out witch seemed to bother her to begin with and i didn't want to deal with anymore attitude so i told her no thank and that i am good i put the ballon back and left i hate when people make customers feel like we are putting them out of their way when sometimes all we just need is a little bit of help im here quite literally all the time spending lots of money and it's people in the store like them that make customers go somewhere else and there is a good amount of them that work there, sadly. i didn't even catch her name she had no badge on. i can't wait till sprouts opens. i'll be going there for my groceries now and only into vons for a few specific items. i'll even start driving to the albertsons over the hill in la habra. Overall the store is nice and clean and I come here often. When it comes to their deli department, I don't like their portion sizes. Every time I get their combo meals, they only serve me 2 pieces of chicken tenders, and not even the big pieces. They have an abundance of chicken sitting there but they don't serve reasonable portions compared to when I go to Albertsons. It bothers me because I know it will sit there all day and just get thrown out at the end of the day so I don't think there should be an issue to add a little more chicken. read more

We had a bouquet of flowers made in the floral department. Maria was a wonderful help she arranged the flowers beautifully. She was also very friendly while she was arranging the flowers. I would recommend going to Vons choosing the flowers you like, and having Maria put it in a vase for you. Turned out to be such a beautiful gift. I am very disappointed in your hours for Thanksgiving. Now granted, I get it that some stores like to do limited hours and that's OK. But the problem here is they weren't advertised as such and if they were, where were the hours posted because nothing was seen by anybody. I'm sitting in front of Vons as I write this and I kid you not no less than 20 to 25 people have parked and approached funds thinking it was open know if that many people thought you were open then that means you didn't advertise your hours correctly. And that's not cool. And that's not good customer service, and it didn't help the matter very much when a worker came out of the store to go home and in a very snarky attitude told me they're closed OK know that I've written all this within the last minute another 10 people showed up thinking they were open. This is in right obviously you didn't do a good job of publicizing your hours for Thanksgiving, people are still standing out here thinking they can get in. You need to be more forthcoming with their hours and be more blatant about them because obviously you didn't do a good job at communication with your customers and because of that some of them probably put off cooking certain things or plan their Thanksgiving around, possibly coming over here to grab a couple of things, and now that their dinners are probably messed up because you didn't bother publicizing your hours correctly, there's nothing you can do to come back from this the amount of people that have come and gone just in this review is astounding that's how badly you messed up. In fact I was here two days ago getting stuff and there was nothing posted about your hours on Thursday nothing. There is no defense of this none whatsoever. They usually have everything I need in stock. Items are a bit pricey overall but it's convenient and always clean in the store. Sometimes they have good deals randomly and every Friday they have special sales that you can find in the paper. Lines can get long but they move quickly. The staff is friendly. Everything about this place is not bad but the most important thing, customer service., it's so terrible that I actually have to question myself what did I do to deserve this treatment, not as a customer but just as a regular human being. Their cashier Kado, this person I have had bad experience with him all along, not only me, I notice if you are not white, you are not welcome. Yes, not exaggerating, this guy discriminates anyone that is non white, hold me to it,, I have seen him being super friendly and talkative to white customers but once it's my turn or any other non white customers or someone that don't speak fluent English, his attitude changes so quick it's just unimaginable. Even being so use to him being rude, the incident today still hits me really hard, I have not been treated like this by any business my whole life. When I paid at his terminal I said thank you as a manner and common courtesy after he handed me the receipt( which without even looking at me ) I said thank you and as expected, no response just like I am invisible, well it's ok I turned to the bagging lady that bagged my grocery, face to face I said thank you again, ignored. I had to stop[ right there looked firmly in her eyes and said ma'am, thank you, when she replied coldly with a thank you. I walked outside to my car but really couldn't take this anymore I walked back inside and complained to the service manager. Good thing is besides these two, all other employees are very well mannered, the service manager listened to my story, apologized on their behave and gave me the number to the store manage. I called later and talked to Danny Ortiz the manager of the store and he is very professional and understanding and promised to investigate. This whole experience still keep me really upset and can't even concentrate for the rest of the day, I honestly have not been treated anywhere close to this by other business in the United States which I have lived my whole life. Seeing that I am not the only person being treated like that I think I am gonna make it a point Monday to call thei cooperate office and address this issue. Terrible Service!! Went in around 8/20/22 @21:29 .. I purchased my groceries at self check out, There was a manager I assumed she had a light blue shirt with a ponytail didn't see a name tag , On the phone not work related conversation check your cameras at that time...I wanted to know a price for a floaty you guys had. There was only one register open and the cashier was obviously busy! When I went over to ask her she made a face like ugh! Cause I interrupted her phone call I guess, I ask nicely if she can help get the price she just brush me off and said if it has a barcode label ask the cashier it did not have a barcode label if not I could of scanned it!!!
