However, this company had amazing customer service. The person I spoke to was friendly and went completely out of her way to help me even though I wasn't going to be able to use their company. I am a student and they were able to help drop me off at school, so I wouldn't have to worry about finding a ride. They were willing to work with me so I could leave my car and keys overnight in order to be serviced first thing in the morning. Also, their prices were very reasonable and competitive. Finally, the prices were not set, if the service would not require as much work, they were not going to charge me the original amount thought. I really wish I could have used them!

I don't generally think to review businesses other than restaurants but I have to let the secret…read moreout. These are the guys that the dealers send their radiator problems to. This week a collogue of mine had a hole develop in the radiator of his skid steer loader, it was going to cost him over $300 for the part and several hundred more in labor. Being a handy guy with no real special tools the problem radiator was removed and dropped off for repair and a day later the loader was back on the farm. They are also an auto repair shop with several great recommendations from the local auto parts stores.

What should have been routine brake pad changing ended up with my sister losing function of her brakes completely the next day from a caliper coming off and therefor the brake fluid bleeding. She was towed by a nice person back to the store and the tow driver asked for JL to pay for the tow as it was apparent it was their fault. They complied. The mechanic showed my sister her caliper and instead of taking any responsibility, stated it "unalived itself". They proceeded with repairs, didn't charge labor but did charge for parts. Upon settling the bill, they put the towing fee back to her! It's such an icky thing, to take advantage of someone in that way. You think this is where the story ends but alas! The brake light came on on the way home. Took it BACK in, they checked, topped off with fluid, and sent her on her way. Their demeanor was apologetic but not enough to REFUND this botched work. Brake light comes BACK on. At this point my sweet sister goes to a trusted mechanic who discovers her brake lines have air in them. I could share more but mostly I want it to be known that the treatment of my sister was unprofessional and disappointing and the mechanic doesn't seem to be very learned in the trade of mechanics. I'm so grateful losing her brakes didn't result in injury or loss of life, but the severity could have been huge.

When I asked why that didn't align, I mentioned that I didn't have enough money to cover the $101, but I assured them that I would definitely get the work done when I get paid on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025. The representative wasn't too pleased and suggested I look elsewhere. Even though he didn't want me to return, I told him I wouldn't be. As I left, I noticed the employees were laughing. I'm definitely not going back to that place. This was my first time at the Muncie location. My friends always go to a different place whenever they need their car serviced, and they've always been happy with the service they receive. I should have stuck with the original recommendation, which was Gaddis. I might pay a bit more, but at least I know I'll be well taken care of.
