I had occasion to visit the Von der Au Ford Service Department last week. The physical facilities at this dealership are ship shape and Bristol fashion. And they have a resident dog! When I saw that dog checking everyone out, I recognised that I was in an OK place.
Prior to my visit, I spoke on the phone with a service representative who I later found out was the service manager, Jeff Bechool. He was attentive to my automobile difficulties and set me up with a service appointment. Because of my location in the waiting area, I couldn't avoid overhearing him counsel a concerned client. He was very straight-forward, but honest, patient, and gentlemanly in dealing with her questions. One couldn't ask for better treatment!
When I arrived for the appointment, I met Sandy Sablatura who is a service manager. This woman is a gem! She already had the information pertinent to my automobile difficulties, but asked more questions to pinpoint anything I had not previously told the service manager on the phone. While the repairs were underway, she popped into the waiting area from time to time to inform me of progress.
I also had occasion to speak with the finance guy (whose name escapes me at the moment) who explained my finance related questions.
Bechool, Sablatura, and finance guy were solicitous of my needs, answered all of my questions, and didn't jerk me around by doing, or recommending, unnecessary work on my vehicle. Many of the service people in many, if not most, car dealerships would not have behaved in that manner. It seemed to me that they were looking-out for me while taking care of my car issues.
Because of these folks and their attitudes toward customers, I WILL patronise Von der Au Ford for future service needs; even if I have to make a 100-mile round trip to do so. No one can go wrong by patronising these good folks! read more
