Both are a very good value for what you get - it's a little hard to compare since you pay one price for a variety of cuts but I did a back-of-the-envelope calculation and it ends up being about the same price as non-grass fed supermarket beef for the ground beef, and actually cheaper for the prime cuts. Most importantly, the quality is outstanding. I've been wanting to make homemade broth/bouillon and before buying from GFCC, I bought some soup bones from Whole Foods. It took four hours and a lot of extras to get some taste and color. After buying a similar package from these guys, I was surprised to get much richer taste and color after just two hours, and the flavor was sublime, just like what I remember my mom making in the "old country"! The only downside is that you have to either share with another family, or else you need a big freezer (and that's for 1/8th which is the smallest package they sell). They did however tells us that they are working on splitting up the quantity into smaller packages so that should be available soon.

I decided to take a gamble and I picked up about $30 worth of sausages of various types, took them back to my hotel, froze them, and hauled them back to Georgia in my luggage. Bottom line, this stuff is the real deal. I got the dinner sausages, the standard brats, the franks, and my ultimate favorite: the weisswurst. Each pack was full of super flavorful, expertly cased sausages. As I type this I am eating the last of my haul and I am trying to figure out I can get a restock sent down. We were all impressed at the size and quality of the beast and I was able to help feed a wedding celebration with the most glorious smoked hawg of my life. My grandmother often said, the praise goes to the butcher. Anyone who uses Brother's will understand that statement.
