Bought a deal off of LifeBooker for a full set of lashes + 2 refills at Lash Lounge LA. My initial…read moreappointment went great and I was so pleased with my lashes as they were extremely natural looking. And the whole appointment only took about 45 minutes. 2 weeks later majority of my lashes fell out...in clumps. I posted a picture here but the company had it removed. There were clusters of 3-4 lashes glued together falling out at a time. These are lashes that are supposed to be individually applied. I called Lash Lounge to explain my situation and they told me to come in for a refill of lashes. Upon entering for my refill bother Erica and her assistant proceeded to confront me telling me how immature and childish it was to post a picture on Yelp, and that I should have called. Hmm, I'm pretty sure I DID call and that's the reason I was there for a refill. Great business, huh? LOL. They told me that that they didn't need any "negative energy", and that I should go else where and request a refund for the deal I had purchased. Isn't Yelp here for us to provide HONEST REVIEWS and EXPERIENCES we have with a company so thay others can make an iINFORMED DECISION!? When I said this they responded saying Yelp is a SCAM. This place has no sense of BUSINESS ETHIC. It's a joke. All this over a picture of the work THEY DID.I gave them a chance to fix the botched lash job. If they weren't willing to they shouldn't have scheduled a refill in the first place. Please beware of this company!

I tried making an appointment for a Saturday at 11 am, but the text confirmation said 10 am. I…read moreasked them what time to be sure, since I was driving from further away. She confirmed 10 am. When I arrived 5-10 min early, the place wasn't open yet. A few minutes after 10 am, I went in and there were 2 other girls sitting there. They had also made an appointment for 10 am. The person providing lashes looked at her phone schedule, and saw that it was my name listed for 10 am, not the other ladies. She asked the other ladies if they could come back later in the afternoon, and they said no. There was a definite language barrier, as I watched the lash technician call her boss and speak in Mandarin. I finally agreed to come back in the afternoon at 12:30. I drove away, and came back at 12:30. The technician was out to lunch when I got there. I walked around the plaza for 10 min until she returned. When she did my lashes, I did notice that it wasn't as precise as other places. This was only my second time trying out lash extensions, but the first place I went to had magnifying lights for the technicians to use. In any case, these lashes felt extremely stiff when I finished, and the eyes were not symmetric (many of the lashes were pointing in all different directions on my right eye, but the left eye looked ok). When I was getting ready to leave, she asked for a tip. On one hand, I believe in tipping for good service. On the other, I was quite disappointed at having to reschedule (even though my appointment was confirmed, not the other customers'), her not being there when I came for the return appointment, and the asymmetry of the lashes. Not wanting to turn this into a huge deal, I just dropped a tip in her jar and left. When I got home, I noticed that some of the extensions were glued to each other, instead of a single extension to a single lash as expected. The couple days, several of the lashes became semi-dislodged such that they'd curve around and poke me. This issue was primarily with my right eye, which had looked more disorganized to begin with. These lashes also looked more synthetic and were stiffer than the lashes at another salon I tried. They've fallen out much quicker than the other time I had extensions, too. Overall, this was disappointing and I won't be coming back.

I first went to Lisa before she moved to this location…read more After finding and trying many places through Groupon in the LA and OC areas, I found Lisa and thought she was fantastic. I've done many extractions and by far Lisa was the most gentle este I've ever been with. I've even gotten my lashes done with her. Although the location she's at is a little confusing the first time to you go, I thought it was worth it. Her room was so cute and you just felt so relaxed upon walking in and everything smells so nice. Just make sure you arrive 10-15 mins early if it's your first time there. In case you're directionally challenged, like me. I stopped going, obviously, due to covid. Kinda difficult to get a facial with a face mask on, amirite? Well, my friend wanted to get a facial for her first time, so I highly recommended Lisa to her. I went on her website and booked an appointment for my friend and she was excited. I decided since I have both my vaccine shots now that I would finally book an appointment for myself as well after over a year. Went online. Saw she had a 2:45pm appointment available, so I entered my info and received a confirmation email. The day before my appt I received a confirmation reminder through text message. Perfect. Next, I get a confirmation email with instructions on how to find where she is located, including my 2:45pm appt. Perfect. The next day, my appt time finally arrives. I walk in. Sit down in the lobby. It's 2:45pm. No one is there. Now it's 3pm and I'm starting to wonder if maybe I walked into the wrong place. No one is reaching out to me asking if I'm running late. I tried calling and txting the number in the email. No answer. Finally at 3:05pm someone named Dee comes out of the room with her previous client and greets me and asks if I have an appt. I explained to her that I do at 2:45. Dee says to me: "Oh yeah, didn't you receive my message?" I said, "yes I did. 3 messages confirming my appt for 2:45pm." She said "oh no I messaged you to reschedule." *ahem no you didn't and if you did you definitely didn't contact the correct person. 1) Dee wasn't apologetic whatsoever. 2) she kept blaming the computer system 3) she blamed me for not receiving her message??? Okay lady. You're so lucky I live close by because I would've definitely gone off on you for wasting my time. My recommendation for Dee is to stop making excuses, own up to your mistakes, CALL YOUR CLIENT IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL and lastly, learn how to communicate more effectively! I'm sorry but you must've heard what a telephone is by now, right? You didn't think to CALL your client to confirm with them prior to having them drive all the way to your business??? Don't you think it's odd that I never responded back to this so called message you sent??? The most annoying part about this whole ordeal is she said "she only books appts on the hour".... So if that's the case then why is it in YOUR calendar on YOUR website an availability for TWO FOURTY FIVE P M?!?! I wouldn't have booked that time if you won't accept clients at that time! I think you need to fix this asap or more people will be booking those time slots. PLUS I didn't even want this Dee person touching my face! I wanted to book with Lisa but the website automatically booked me with this Dee person. If I ever have to see Dee again I would just cancel on her the same way she did to me. Sorry, but if I showed up late or canceled to any business I had an appt with, the client is generally charged a late/cancel fee. So I don't understand why I wasn't compensated in some way for my time being wasted just because Dee decided to cancel on me. Please learn how to be friendlier and run a business or you will lose long time clients such as myself. Helpful hint: Lisa moved suites btw. (The address on yelp isn't up to date.) she's at suite #354 now. Don't book with Dee. Make sure you schedule your appt with Lisa!
