ABROAD STUDENTS This place is really awful. I bought a plan that would give me service in Morocco and did not get any service. When we got back to Italy, we turned on our phones to find that we had no service in Italy either. Because of this, we went into the store to understand what was going on and they told us that we owed 15 euro. So no service in Morocco, no service in Italy and we have to pay for the service we "used". One of the workers we talked to was very understanding until a woman came over and went against everything he said. They don't seem to communicate between one another as we were told multiple different things within the 15 minutes that we were there. The woman kept saying "it's not my fault" which is ridiculous because it is the fault of the store that they don't know or communicate the terms of the plans we buy. One of the worst customer services experiences I have had in 50 years of traveling! I purchased 2 months of service from a Vodafone store in Venice but for 20 days was unable to make calls with their SIM. I came to this store in Florence hoping they would quickly solve the issue. I spoke with a someone who called herself "the Manager". First she claimed that my phone had a problem! Then she said I should go to Venice where I purchased the SIM, because each store is a separate franchise and therefore she could not help me in her store! Then she tried to sell me a new SIM! Finally she just walked away from the desk and disappeared! I decided to go to another Vodafone store next to the train station at Santa Maria Novella. There in 2 minutes a representative simply removed and replaced the SIM, turned my phone on and off, and it began to work properly on their Vodafone network. AVOID that Vodafone store on Via de Martelli at all costs, they are truly a disgrace to Vodafone organization! read more

really great service in Italy, i've never had a problem, but horrible customer service. I went to Vodafone because i had previously gone to Germany and i didn't have service the entire time I was there. My package included service in most European countries if they're in the EU (?). I tried to explain what was going on to the woman in vodafone and she tried to blame the fact that I didn't have service in Germany on a trip in Switzerland weeks ago. She was extremely unhelpful and gave me ZERO solutions. I talked to a different vodafone woman who told me to turn my phone on and off and try taking out the SIM card. Both were rude to me but at least the second gave me a few solutions. The service is amazing but don't expect them to help you read more

If there was an option to give them no stars, I would. I bought my phone here years ago and got an 'abbonamento' or plan. While signing me up the staff were helpful and happy. Of course that drastically changed anytime there was a problem with the phone. First off when getting the number to patiently wait in line, it seemed like people were always jumping in front of me and the staff could care less, they clearly hate their jobs. When my blackberry started experiencing 'white screen' they kept sending it off to the manufacturer while not providing me with a replacement phone (but more than happy to charge me for one) when I told them I thought it was the battery, they said no, after the 2nd phone failed, I changed the battery and it was fine. yep! also their prices are high compared to Wind and Tre. Avoid this store like the plague unless you are masochistic and into being punished..severly. read more

Liars. Do not trust this Vodafone. Go to the one under the train station -- Miguel there is great & speaks English well. This Vodafone by the duomo is terrible -- they are stubborn, take your money without explanation, and refuse any sort of assistance. I'm surprised their staff is still employed. I've never argued with people at a store before, and these people are the most ignorant & rude people I've ever dealt with. You'll easily stand in there for an hour before anyone looks like they're going to help you -- you have to march directly up to them and demand service. They'll tell you their "system is down" and that you have to go to a Tobacci and pay for your phone plane there? read more

Unhelpful Instore staff who will try to get as much money out of you as possible by flooding your phone with unwanted offers and then sneaking in automatic payments between. Eventually after going into the store 3 days in a row and waiting upwards of 30 minutes each time they loaded a small about of Instore credit on your account that I do not have any use for nor do I plan to use. I would rather have my money back. The representative I was speaking to then went into the back of the store and left for her break before we were finished talking. read more

I am currently studying abroad in Florence for the semester and was recommended to use Vodafone as my phone service by a friend, rather than going with my school's provided service, "TIM". It's the end of the semester and I can now say that Vodafone has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had. It is most likely just this store in particular, because the employees are so incredibly rude and demeaning to customers. I have never been treated this way by a store employee. I don't even write reviews regularly, but I came on here to tell other abroad students or tourists in Italy to choose a different store location if you do choose to use Vodafone as your service. I pay 10 euro a month for unlimited social media and a certain number of minutes of texting and calling, but this month I went in to re-up my plan and I was told that I owed them 15 euro. When I asked why, I was not given a good explanation and just told that I had a "service" added that in reality, I had never paid for. I explained that I had gone this whole semester with my normal phone plan and had never paid for this new "5 euro service" and that it shouldn't be on there, but instead of trying to help I was only yelled at and basically called stupid, saying "if i knew how to do math I would understand". In the past, Vodafone has also charged me for random fees which were also not explained. Do NOT go to this store, and do NOT see either of the two girls who work there. I have worked with a man there and he was very helpful, but these two girls in specific are rude, unhelpful, and don't care about customers. If I could re-do my phone plan I would not be choosing Vodafone, specifically because of these employees who made it such a terrible and frustrating experience. read more

I can't believe this place. They are plain thieves. I should call the police on them. They took my money for a service I was never given. When I went to correct the problem, they flat out refused and told me to pay again if I want the service. They do not care about losing customers, they do not care about bad reviews and word of mouth. They are the epitome of bad customer service and I would avoid this place like the plague. read more

I went in to get a SIM card because I'm studying abroad and I had terrible service. They don't seem to like foreigners, even though they're located in a touristy area. Michele has helped me both times I've been there and he's awful. After I told him what I wanted and paid etc., I asked for the card and he told me I had it. I told him I didn't, but he acted like he couldn't understand and told me to wait a few hours before activating. I asked for it again before I left and acted confused. I went in the next day to ask about activation and got Michele again!!! He then told me I lost the SIM card even though I never had it, and I had to pay an extra €10. He didn't even answer the questions I had in regards to my plan or the SIM card. He just told me to activate it. The worst place ever, do not recommend to anyone. read more

Beware of a dishonest employee here. I wanted to get a SIM card while traveling in Italy for ten days. An employee told me that there was no other option other than getting a plan that was 40 euros. I thought it was rather expensive but I was tired from the flight and it was Saturday evening so I just wanted to get a SIM card asap at that point.
