You might even find yourself rocking out while John's eating cereal and answering emails on his computer. Where else can you find that?). The best part about this place though is the extensive vintage instrument collection at your disposal. He has a bunch of awesome guitars you can use, an upright piano, a drum set and an awesome Wurlitzer. Plus a bunch of other cool stuff that we never even got to. I forget what it ended up costing us per day, but it was decent rate. I guess the myspace page is the best way to contact him. The owner was a little abrasive when I was in the store which I wrote about, but he sent me a message on here which was quite different and even tempered. We were in Studio A and we choose the 7' Baldwin Grand Piano to record with and man did it sound beautiful. The studio and recording equipment is top notch, and your choices for pianos and organs are astounding. Just take a look on their website for all their gear. The guys working there were really helpful and the process was fast and smooth. It's not cheap though, you're paying for the best here. That's mainly why we had to go in after hours, to save some coin (I know a guy who knows a guy ;). Once I become a rock star though I intend to really test this place out. I bought myself a cool vintage off brand MIJ P-bass for $120 and took it apart to clean it up,…read morerestring it and make it playable. I was close but it seemed like the truss rod was stuck, or the bullet stripped. I looked online for shops that I could bring it to and get it fixed. A quick email to Trevor made me feel that he was the right guy. He asked the right questions, didn't pressure me and didn't come across like a music store snob. fast forward a month or so and I arrive, bass in hand and he gets to work on it. Does the whole setup. Filing, tuning etc and then he discovers that there's no sound ( I don't have an amp). He opens it up and sure enough a wire is just hanging there. Quick fix, plug it in and it's alive! He continues to check everything and at the same time telling my why he's doing it etc. In the end, he let me know that yes, the bullet is stripped, but, there was also issues with the nut, which he fixed and after redoing the set up again, the bass was sounding amazing! Trevor is a super cool, laid back guy who really cares about what he does for a living. We talked about guitars in general, as being a newbie I tend to like to ask lots of questions. He was amazing to deal with and will be bringing him my guitar(s) for anything I need done. A real pleasure!
