Not only singing along and bopping to all their number one hits but also learning their history and fun facts that I never knew about them. They were truly amazing....." "We all live in a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine." The theater layout is well designed with basically no obscured views. Very clean and well maintained despite it's age, a beautiful and classic venue going back in time over 33 years, oh the stories it must have. Plenty of staff to guide and assist you to your assigned seats. Drinks/bar setup on each floor lobby for those who drink on every occasion. The sound and lighting system perfectly complimented each show I sat in the upper level for Lion King and the mid level for Ones, both levels with perfect views of the main stage with clear sound. Protip- take the side exit after the play is over, a lot quicker than going out the main exit where you entered the thester

Also, I have read the book and movie adaptation many years ago so I didn't remember much. The Outsiders was amazing. It was pretty similar to the book and movie but there were some changes. The music and songs (mainly the group ones) seem have a similar volume to concerts. The lines (non music parts) were understandable. In terms of seating, I would pick the elevated levels (dress or balcony) compared to the (back) orchestra. Entering was straight forward. They don't really check bags. They may check larger bags like backpacks. You can bring and fill empty clear plastic water bottle at the bar (on the 2nd floor). Drinks, snacks and popcorn are your typical staples and are priced similar to other venues.

I have nothing but rave reviews on both counts. The 2nd floor is quite large, has an excellent stage, terrific lighting, and wonderful sound system, run by a total professional. I saw a show called The Practice Show which, I was told was pretty much a rehearsal with improv troupes trying out new material, new forms, etc.. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of work. The teams were tight and showed strong, listening skills, which is especially hard when you were trying out new things. It's an excellent show that is in the space most Monday nights and I definitely think you should check it out. As a producer, I produced a show on the 3rd floor, which is the smaller more intimate space. Our show was a mixture of older and younger comedians. I think it's important for the generations to play together. Renting The Cabaret 3rd fl Space at SoCap was terrific! The warmth they showed, and the level of professionalism at SoCap is unparalleled. The deal is phenomenal, and this little space is a gem! It's so nice up there, that it's like stumbling into a little secret space. This is my first choice space in Toronto!! I'm going to be at SoCap again later this month to see The Stupid Good Show with The Coincidence Men and guests, which happens the last Friday of every month. Looking forward to it!

Some groups were more insync than others but never a dull moment. Great way to support these groups starting out. Really entices us to take up improv as well. The final act was by Affirmative Improv and they asked the audience to submit a confession via penned note. They read them out loud and then expertly improv a few of them together in a skit. Haha did not expect a bit of musical to come out of it too. Great times and would happily do it again. The way the tables are set up, it's great for groups of 4's so perfect to make it a double date night or date night. We were able to grab the seats near the front by being just a few minutes before the show starts.
