I used the washroom today before my appointment and it was really dirty - sink area dirty, floor and no paper towels to dry your hands. Last time I was a little upset about how unkept the technicians station was - didn't look like it had been cleaned for weeks. Now I don't work here but it only takes a couple minutes to clean up after each customer and there should be no reason why it's so dirty. I'm only getting a manicure today and glad it's not a pedicure. There are no mats on the floor or slippers/flip flops to change into to walk on after a pedicure and the floor is filthy from wet books and shoes tracking in debris from outside. Shame because the place is great otherwise. The lady that has done my manicures is just fantastic and I've had a pedicure here last week and she did an awesome job. I just can't get past their housekeeping. That and I made the appt on line yesterday- then they called and said - we need to a move your appt to 11:30 - no problem I said - I got here and 11:20 and have been waiting ever since..it's now 12:15. They were great! Very professional. Note - this business does accept walk-ins. Hours are 10am to 7 pm. I have sensitive cuticles and sometimes if the esthetician is too rough I end up bleeding. Not great! But Lynn was wonderful. Very careful. No wincing or issues here. And did a fantastic job. Btw it's not a French manicure ( I had the regular manicure with Bossy #219- one coat only), but it looks almost like a French, a bit more natural. Hubby raved about the pedicure on the way home. Said that Linda took really good care of filing down the calluses on his feet. He practically floated home lol. Anyway. Totally get why people love this place. Great staff and great result. Std Manicure is $20 plus tax Std Pedicure is $30 plus tax. More pricing and all their services can be found on their website. Parking is on the street or quite accessible by TTC.

Also she was very careful not to damage my cuticle which I find most places mess up. Once she had removed the shellac I decided get regular nailpolish and the OPI I chose was a longer lasting finish and was $5 extra. I was able to book for myself and each of my guests - also specifying the service each of us wanted individually. There's an option to select your technician but since we haven't been there, I just left it blank. I actually called 2-3 times because we're unfamiliar with what we wanted and needed some clarifications. They answered the phone each time and were so friendly and welcoming. I immediately felt great about selecting this place. We arrived a few minutes ahead and were welcomed by the staff. They set us up in our stations with our techs and let us choose our colours. I had sent reference photos in advance for the brides' selection and they actually had prepared the exact right shades for her to select from. 2 of us had shellac and the 3rd got a gel extension set. Shellac went fantastic. My technician was Kris. He's AMAZING! I let him know I have very sensitive cuticles - they tend to hurt and bleed. He was so gentle and I felt zero pain at all. First time I ever found that process to be relaxing. He also fixed my broken nail using gel, and it's like brand new! I asked for almond shape nails. Previous salons could never quite get the shape without shortening my nails a lot, but he got it done so quick and they are literally perfect. So cute, still got my length, and beautifully done. I love how he took his time to use the buffer on the edges so the scraggly bits get cleaned off. He really pays attention to the details. I got a sort of sheer pink with a magnetic topper. He applied everything so perfectly and I loved chatting with him the whole time. I am so happy with my nails. The whole experience was great. My cousins also enjoyed their services. The gel extensions takes quite a bit more time, but I can appreciate that they're trying to make sure the shape and length are perfect. We were all really happy with our nails. Our Bride to Be was ecstatic. They matched her inspiration photos perfectly! The nail salon itself is gorgeous. Very simple decor, beautiful seating, lovely wait area, etc. They just made the most of a small space and still kept it feeling very spacious inside. Huge kudos to whomever designed the layout. WOW, we both couldn't believe the treatments came from a look like a female boss with another older lady staff member who was very rude in greeting customers. They also didn't fully speak English, and when we asked for the type of nails we would like and the choices, both the lady owner and a senior lady staff member could fully understand what we asked about. They proceeded to rush us to do our nails and handed us over to a mid-30s couple of male and female workers sitting way in the corner who seemed they didn't speak English and were raving and gauging us about the prices that the hands and feet were to be. Wow, they talked in their native language so loudly that it seemed they were fighting and changing the actual prices that they wanted us to pay. The jobs the young couple did were poorly. The paint was lum into a bulking on top of my nails. My friend's hands also didn't look nice, and we could have painted ourselves. We have been going from salon to salon for over 20 years. We love many nail salons and their staff, but this particular place needs to change the way the owner operates, and the staff that she hired were unqualified and unapproachable. Other nice staff were available, but it seemed the owner assigned and pushed customers over to the young couple who were clearly underqualified to do the job. The owner seemed to favor this young couple could be her family members.?? so unfair for the other staff to qualify and available.Please check and see this soul talk before you go there.
