Fantastic wellness spa! I love Thai massage and am thankful to have found someplace with experienced massage therapists. My friend and I came for several appointments on her birthday and felt so amazing and relaxed when we left! I love their body treatments, like the scrubs and wraps, which also incorporate some stretching and Thai pressure massage and during the treatment. Absolutely somewhere I will return to! read more

Incredible deep tissue massage with Gunny. She was therapist who did a phenomenal job. Personally I have very high expectations for deep tissue massages and she went way above and beyond what I needed!! Don't let the price tag possibly scare you. It was well sort it. I can NOT wait to go back to see Gunny for follow up deep tissue appointments. read more

Wanted to buy a gift certificate to this spa after seeing 1.2k reviews and high rating - called a few times during their open times and week days to avoid weekend rush times - no one ever answers the phone - it goes to voice mail. Left them 2 voice messages over 2 days clearly stating my name and phone number requesting a call to clarify a few questions as this would be the first time using their spa services. No call back - no response! If this is how ;poorly they communicate then how can appointments be scheduled satisfactorily by someone wanting to choose a service for the first time using a gift card and wanting to speak to a human on the other end? Very disappointed with their communication (or rather lack of it) and radio silence! read more

Came here on a Saturday and it was busy - had to wait 15 mins. The ambience in the place is nice and the hot towel and water is a nice touch before you start the massage. I got the East meets West massage - my masseuse was polite and the massage itself was decent, except that my masseuse's hand was shaking the whole time. I don't mean to be disrespectful in anyway - but a massage isn't quite relaxing when the hand massaging your neck and shoulders is constantly shaking. I get a massage at least once every month, so I know what to expect and this fell short for the price. read more

I left this massage in significantly more pain, despite clearly explaining my concerns about my neck and shoulders and noticing issues with the setup before the session began. The therapist ignored multiple concerns, especially about the room setup and type of massage. When I questioned the lack of bars I was to I they don't step on backs; yet, despite me saying not to if it wasn't allowed, he stepped on my back anyway once I was in a compromised position. I had to repeatedly change positions due to discomfort. He eventually sat me up on the mattress, kneeled behind me and worked on my neck in a way that left me in pain for three days. When I called to explain what happened, I was only offered another massage at 50% off and told to return immediately, which felt inappropriate given the harm I experienced and level of pain I was in. My body needed time to heal. I hate to post this and typically love Thai massages, I believe they can be deeply healing, but I am sharing this to warn others, as my needs were not respected at this establishment and the treatment did the opposite of what I sought. read more

Definitely a great place to get a massage. A specialize in traditional Thai massages but are also very good at the tissue and things like that. Always go with Annie Dang. Because "DANG!" she is good. I tend to get right down to business and avoid all the pomp and circumstance. read more

I booked an appointment for a 90-minute East Meets West massage when I came in town. Cherry was my assigned massage therapist and she was great! If you've never had a Thai massage, you might want to do a little research so that you don't get surprised by some of the methodology. I personally liked the stretching that was very different from a Western/European-style massage. Great experience, very relaxing, clean and calm environment read more

My friend was in pain from muscle knots in back could hardly move. I highly recommend this spa the therapist worked wonders with her deep tissue therapy and helped him get the relief he needed. He actually smiled when he came out. He is going to continue to come here to help keep the muscles from tightening into knots. I am now looking forward to coming for me for my massages! I true find! read more

My "Traditional Thai" massage with Tony was outrageously good. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend.

Booked two massages last minute with Joshua and Opal - had high expectations and it did not disappoint! The staff was incredibly professional as well. Price: New customers get a 15% discount, as advertised on their website. We didn't even have to ask, they added it with the final bill automatically! Location: We went to the Newbury Street location. The building was easy to find, in a great location. The spa is on the second floor. Cleanliness: The lobby was well decorated and nice. The rooms itself were very clean, as was the bathroom. Massage: The massages were excellent! We each had a Swedish massage for 60 minutes. We both agreed it was one of the best massages we have ever had and we will definitely be back. read more

I have gotten two massages here so far and both times have been with Chris. The first time was deep tissue and the second time was an East meets West massage which is a combination of deep tissue and Thai techniques. He does an outstanding job and the space is really calm, tranquil, and clean. I'm booked again in a month and I can't recommend this place enough. read more

Have been here twice and have enjoyed my experience! Monica is phenomenal and was one of the best massages I've had. Chris is also good but I'd recommend Monica. It's very clean and service is good. Prices are higher than average, so take advantage of their first time customer discount (only available on weekdays). It's located right on Newbury Street so I arrived via ride share as parking can be tough. read more

Bought a massage for my wife. However she got COVID. When I called, I asked to cancel. The person on the phone then proceeded to tell me to show up with a mask on and asked for proof. Afterwards, I asked twice to clarify they wanted someone with COVID to show up. She said yes but she can wear a mask. They then charged my card the full amount for a massage we never went to. I would never go to a business that lacks health and safety standards like this. Both to the safety of their workers and customer. Especially when they are literally turning around and touching other clients. Complete disregard for safety. read more

What a fantastic experience! Here I am beating up myself for not coming here sooner when I used to live in the neighborhood. Always been meaning to come here and when I arrived I was so delighted because the environment was so inviting and relaxing. I have the most wonderful massage therapist named Opal! She had such good energy and is very well experienced. In fact I'm going to have her massage me each time I go there. What I like about this place is it focuses on massage only and it was ultra clean! I love the fact they gave me a welcome water with a little flower. Loved My Massage believe me, Opal knew her craft! read more

DO NOT GO. This was the most painful, and worst "massage" I've ever had. My girlfriend and I were both in such pain driving home after we almost had to pull over. Everyone there was incredibly sweet, but save $200 and go somewhere else. read more

We had a FANTASTIC deep tissue couples massage from Josh & Kim. We're visiting from CT, otherwise I would come back here monthly! Their pressure and technique was on point. My partner and I both spend 8-12 hrs on the computer daily and have some really intense knots and tightness to work through. Both masseuses were methodical, applying pressure expertly, and communicating regularly when we needed less pressure. Kim coached me to breathe through some of my tightness which really released my hips. Loved this place, will come back next time we're in Boston! Covid / cleanliness: very clean, beautiful aesthetic, everyone working was masked. Offered water and tea. Fantastic! read more

I had not had a massage in a very long time!! Monica was amazing- attentive, checking in regarding pressure, comfort etc. I will definitely be going back on a regular basis!! read more

Just an update that I called the company today to ask that the "credit" I was emailed be sent to me as a gift card. I was told the credit is no longer valid because I left this prior review on Yelp. I spoke with the owner of the business on the phone, who proceeded to hang up on me. So I'm now out $160 and have received no service in exchange. I'll be filing a claim with the state for this fraudulent activity but advise other consumers to stay away from this business. read more

Super relaxing atmosphere, I highly recommend. Staff are nice and skilled, I had Rose and she was fantastic. Anyone who says they go to hard is silly because you can just ask them to change the pressure. read more

Was in town for business and was able to get a same day appointment. They were wonderful and I got a discount for it being my first time. I will be sure to return next time I am in the area read more

I agree with Josh!!! I wish I had taken his review as a red flag, but decided to give it a chance due to everyone else's positive reviews. I definitely will not be coming back here. The masseuse was so kind and friendly, and did an alright job. I've experienced many different massage spas, and this one was by far my least favorite. To piggyback off of Josh's review -- there was a sign at the desk that says gratuity is OPTIONAL and they RECOMMEND 20%. I agree with Josh that gratuity is for above and beyond service and customer service. The receptionist even asked if there was anything wrong, and I told her it was average and expressed my concern for what I thought wasn't that great. She then asked if I wanted to leave AT LEAST 15%, and I told her no, and she pushed me again to leave at least "something" for the masseuse. I left a tip, but I really do not think receptionists should be pushing customers to leave gratuity. You don't see waiters at restaurants asking for customers to leave tip for them... Response to owner: The therapist asked about my areas and pressure and I told him exactly what I wanted. I told him about my history of chronic shoulder pain as well as my previous massage experiences and told him I wanted very deep firm pressure. read more

I thought this salon was clean and relaxing. My therapist was lovely and enjoyable to converse with. Affordable and great value. i feel so much better and will be back! Thank you ! read more

I had a wonderful massage by Lay. She was professional, pleasant, charming and very thoughtful. I Loved the heated bed. Beautiful ambience! I did not get my first time discount which I was looking forward to and seem to be the only one not eligible but like a lot of other things that fell short on that day, I was conveniently referred to the terms and conditions on their website. read more

I really enjoyed my time at Viyada Thai. They worked me in same day and everything was so clean. I would highly recommend - especially with their 1st session discount. read more

Cool little spa. It was a nice massage. Definitely experienced staff. Feel way more relaxed and I loved the idea that it was customized to my needs and specific areas that needed work on. Will come back! read more

This was my second time at Viyada. I went for a couple's massage. The woman who gave me my massage is Sophie or Sophia I believe. I went in with a really bad pain on left foot from spraining it a couple of days before. I was limping I couldn't wear heels, I mean it was bad. I told her about it and she went crazyyyyyyyyy on that foot, she did warn me that it would be painful and I was lowkey screaming in that room BUT I left painless, able to walk normally again and I wore heels that night. I truly believe that she helped my foot with the massage she spent like 15 mins on that foot and it was well worth it. Thank you, Sophia/Sophie! I will be back! read more

I am hesitant with how many stars to give Viyada. On a trip to Boston, I last minute (same day) booked an hour massage & hour foot massage for both my boyfriend and I. They were able to accommodate us 3 hours after I called which we were thrilled about. When we got there I went in one room and my boyfriend went in another & we alternated services. I received a foot massage first while he received full massage. While I was receiving my foot massage there was 3 separate occasions where the massage therapist fell asleep...like would wake out of it and shake. When I asked him about it he said "the oil is slick". I find it very odd that someone would be falling asleep multiple times during a service & even more strange that it happened MULTIPLE times. The full body massage (I got a Thai massage) on the other hand was lovely and I'd definitely recommend it! read more

Went for a couples massage. Cost 225. After the massage the receptionist tries to make me pay 20% tip for each of us. I tell her 1. That's not how tips work, you don't multiple 20% and pay that amount for each person. 2. Tips are for above and beyond service and 100% optional. She then gets upset and tries to talk to her manager. She reluctantly returns and I still give them 15% tip for the masseuse. Terrible customer service and I definitely won't be returning here or recommending this place to anyone. read more

We had an excellent experience at Viyada. My husband and I booked a couples massage with Kimberly and Opal as our massage therapists. We were here for the first time. They had some promotions on their website and they honored it without us even mentioning it. As a breastfeeding mom, I made Kimberly aware that I can't lay on my chest and she was very accommodating. I also said I would like a deep tissue and she was able to do that, as well, despite the accommodation. She checked in on me to make sure I was comfortable and confirmed the level of pressure. The massage was both relaxing and healing for me. Kimberly released tension in places I didn't even know I held tension - namely my hips. I left feeling so much better than I came in. My husband also liked his massage - he always falls asleep when the massage is good. A few minutes in and the snoring commenced. Overall it was a great experience. I would specifically recommend Kimberly for prenatal and postpartum massages. Although, I think she could probably accommodate most people. We were visiting Boston, but if we were local we would definitely become regulars. read more

I have been a regular for 2 years and counting - massages have been consistently attentive, caring, and effective. Therapist always takes the time to understand tight areas and makes sure to focus on them. I work long hours on a desk job and have a terrible back pain and it's always been fixed with a great massage here! read more

Went with a friend, we had a great experience. Beautiful decor imported from Thailand, pacing of treatment was excellent in that it felt longer. My only suggestion is they definitely need some white noise machines in the halls for noise reduction. Will go back and would recommend to others. read more

I travel a lot and often massages are hit or miss affairs. The massage I received from Peter was amazing. He had an excellent knowledge of the body & was able to isolate muscles I wasn't really aware were there! I booked a 90 minute Swedish massage but he asked if it was OK to try to really loosen up some tight muscles and did some serious pressure point massage. Spa is clean, nicely decorated & they were running a special for first time customers too. read more

During this time of disconnect it is so important to take time and take time for self care. I carry my stress in my neck and shoulders, and it does not soften easily. The Thai Bomb massage was "the bomb"! Kim was amazing! It is a splurge, but so worth it. It is a very clean, lovely environment, but not pretentious. I found out about them from a write up in Boston Magazine about best rated massages, and they were right. I made an appointment very easily online. I am so glad I did. I will be back :) read more

Fantastic service... the moment we walked in for a couples massage we were handed warm tea and sandals. She sheets were warmed and remained warm throughout which was a nice added touch. Would recommend... additionally there's a nice discount for first time clients. read more

massage was good, but like other reviews say, double check what they charge you. they give you 20% off your first massage, and I tipped 20% off of the amount that they charged me (which was 20% off the price!). looked at the charge a day later and saw that they charged me 20% of the original? shady given the fact that the massage is pricey (around $200) already read more
