Worst haircut I have ever been given. I grew my hair out shoulder length for 7 months and I showed her that exact photo and gave me the opposite of what I wanted. She faced me away from the mirror. The only thing she has asked me for was the bang length, nothing about what I wanted the back of my hair looked like. I spent 7 months growing my hair out, skipped my school photos to make a redo since I was getting my hair cut. I tried styling my hair and nothing is saving me at this point. i'd give a 0 stars if i could. Bailey, the woman hairstylist is highly unprofessional and will advertise for "specialize in color" when she clearly cannot. End of october i booked with her and she quoted $200, after 5 hours of service. I sent her inspo pics from her OWN PROFILE and when it was "finished", it wasn't exactly what i wanted and i know that dark color won't lift in one session. we both made that clear verbally that i knew it all wouldn't lift in one season but it was vibrant and cute, i was happy. that's fine, i sent $260 as a tip and ensure i plan to come back and get this finished to my liking so few days later, i booked via vagaro app and put a $50 deposit down for a $125 session. she knew i wanted only two front strips added and to touch up from 1st session. Easy work. well i guess not!!!! she reschedule due to sickness so i waited patiently a week and when our appt comes around, she ASSURES TO ME she can get these few parts lifted and i wont be sitting for 5 hours, time didnt matter anyway. i know how long lifting and dying takes.... so 3 hours later, she believes its done and dries it, curls it(which i didnt ask for) and ask to take pictures. i was happy with the color at the moment and intended on booking again to touch up very soon only to come home and see BLOTCHES of yellow / orange / green on the side burns and fading everywhere! its like she didn't do anything but barely lifted the sides on virgin hair which should of been quite easy. Left me to believe she touched up the top strips and the bottom strips but the shop has such horrible lighting that you cannot see this til you shine light on it. So bailey thought it was professional to leave me like that, give me the rest of the dye she used and send me on my way knowing everything was uneven, blotchy under the curls she attempted and just looked like a hot mess in a few hours and now 3 different colors, looked like throw up, i was embarrassed putting my hair up and now having to put make up on my hair to make it look somewhat presentable... and to makes matters worse, when i confronted her. she said it was MY miscommunication and hope you find someone to get the color you want like are you kidding me? that's not the issue but very unprofessional anyway. but to let me leave without saying i need another session (which i happily would of agreed to) with blotches of orange/yellow/green/ black is by far most unprofessional hairstylist response ive ever heard. especially after receiving $400!!! she is a scam and should stick to less maintenance of hair projects and not rob women blindly because she can't lift correctly and shift the blame to her clients and previous hairstylist. what a joke of a person. i'll be taking her to small claims court for fraud. she said she could do it and she did NOT, so i'm blocked on instagram and i will shift my energy to the establishment she works at since she thinks this is professionalism by shift blaming, not refunding or being unfront in the first place after the 2nd session was finished. His professional and easy going demeanor was a relief and he is great at his job. I've been shopping here for a couple years already and it's a dependable place for buying pomade. They have a wide selection of from water to oil based pomades and always carry ones I search for. Even when I'm not buying pomade I've also picked up shaving cream or shirts from here. The men's products are very ideal for dates or casual outings, normally I drop by with my girlfriend and she always knows what to pick out. The staff is pretty cool and helpful anytime I have questions. They are also pretty knowledgeable on the assortment of products and have helped me with some tough desicions. The owners are very nice people and they definitely care about their customers. I was disappointed when the Alley Cat closed their locations, but now they've filled that void. Been a customer of vixen and beard for about 2 years now I think. I stayed a customer to this establishment thanks to a certain employee by the name of Esteban. When I first walked in I was in search of a new barber since my barber had hung the clippers and retired. Esteban has since been my barber due to his enthusiasm to earn my trust and my business. I was very impressed with the first cut, lined up my beard I felt very pampered. Conversations are great with each cut, I never feel like I'm in business with this man but more like at a friend's house in his garage cutting my hair back in high school. I went in last Friday to check out some products for my husband to use on his beard. There were 2 employees at register a male and female I didn't get their names but both were supper pleasant and helped me find the products I needed to treat the issues my husband is having with his beard. I like the fact that I was explained about the different brands and was not being sold on products I didn't need. I went with the Zeus shampoo and beard oil. My husband loves it and it's helping with the dry skin. When I checked out I was given a couple of good size samples of make up for myself. Customer service and willingness to help is lacking! We've been to the Tyler mall Vixen & Beard many times. My daughter knows her dad enjoys this shop, so she went and purchased him a merch shirt for Christmas, along with a beard box, oils and shaver stand. The shirt however ended up being the wrong size, so she went to do the size exchange today. Seeing how she is young, she didnt think to save the receipt. Since she was asking for an even exchange for one size larger, we didn't think it would be an issue. Well staff and management refused to allow her to swap out the new shirt that still had tags, basically saying they cant do anything for her without a receipt. We called in to talk to management ourselves, and she refused to budge as well. We pointed out that the product was purchased on a debit card and that many stores can trace the transaction through that. We were told that its not an option, no receipt no exchange. That is not possible cause of the system wont allow it ...blah blah blah...uh, yeah you can..you just dont want to! I can totally understand not giving a refund, but to refuse an even exchange for an obviously unworn new product with tags seems absurd! We obviously want the product, just 1 size bigger!!! We supported your shop many times, and when it came down to appreciating customer loyalty, we were basically told to eat it! I guess they thought we were only worth the value of the shirt we were trying to size up. read more

I highly used to recommend this store for my friends to go in and buy lashes. Today my husband went in for a hair cut, he's been there before. This time very disappointed in the service he received with his haircut, The style was lopsided and very uneven and one side wasn't even. It look like she used scissors and trimmed it like a five-year-old. The Barber he had was Ariana, so sad, just to get a cleanup he had to wait another 45 minutes for another barber to fix it he decided not to do it because he was already skeptic about the previous barber messing up. So sad to say that we will not be doing any more service here for that reason. I really like this store. They have some good small brands, I feel like I can find a lot of dupes for the same eyeshadows and lip liner I would pay double or triple for at sephora or ulta. The makeup brushes here are such good quality and suuuuper soft. *I believe the brand is called bebella* overall the prices are pretty fair and reasonable. The customer service is hit or miss depending on which day you go. I was also happy to see L.A girl products sold here. They carry my favorite concealer and they had plenty stock in my shade. Cool little shop but every time I shop here their sales associates make me feel super uncomfortable. It's a "hurry up and buy" vibe in there. Today I went in, almost didn't even want to purchase my stuff because the vibe was so bad. My husband went in to see Esteban to get his long beard shaved off for a new job, and he was hoping for a straight razor shave that looked clean and felt nice. He also wanted a haircut. The haircut was fine, and I mean "fine" as in not great and not terrible, the fade looks amateur and unskilled, I wish so badly we had gone somewhere else. The beard shave was a botched nightmare job. This guy didn't trim or cut down my husbands super long beard first before shaving but attempted to remove it all with a straight razor. After THREE HOURS he finally emerged, with red, angry, irritated skin and stubble. Who leaves a barber shop straight razor shave with stubble? It's just insane. He used some kind of cold shave gel he wasn't familiar with and remarked that it reacted badly with the heat. Like. Okay? Should have just admitted you don't know what you're doing. Don't go here if you want a straight razor shave, unless you like red painful skin and stubble immediately after the shave. This is an overpriced clown show. The women who work there do seem good at haircuts, but this Esteban guy needs a great deal more training since he can't even shave a beard off. I could've done the same job at home myself for a fraction of the cost and time. Disappointing, careless and unprofessional. To be fair the guy did refuse a tip because he knew he messed up but the fact they charged him at all is ridiculous. Go anywhere else. Do it yourself, just don't go here. read more
