The feeling of "security" (pun intended but I'm serious) that I received from Atlas was well worth the very reasonable monthly monitoring fee. They never tried to "hard sell" me and ensured that I had enough security features to feel safe but not go overboard. They have a presence on Facebook and keep their followers informed not only of things happening within the company but also of security and safety related concerns. They have lots of payment options, including auto withdrawal, and the fee is quite reasonable in my opinion. In addition to them providing excellent service it was nice to work with a local business. Any chance I get to support local business I will, and the fact that they provide world class service was honestly a pleasant surprise.

I don't know if this reviewing ADT itself or this company who installs it, but this is about ADT itself. ADT is a scam. Don't do it. We regret every cent we spent on this farce. The doorbell camera that was installed was a hunk of junk. When connected to the doorbell, it just made the doorbell go off on its own, so we had to sacrifice our doorbell. The doorbell would ring through the app, but who has their phones off quiet anymore? I work from home, so having it off quiet was not an option. The audio on the camera was not understandable on either end. It didn't detect people the vast majority of the time. For example, we backed our car almost right up to the camera and spent an hour packing it to go on a trip and the camera never picked us up once. This is after setting it in the app to very clearly pick up our driveway. In summary, the camera was completely and utterly useless. The door sensors kept saying they were tampered with us just opening and closing the doors. Same with the windows. When we tried to cancel, they fought us tooth and nail. When I asked if they could send someone out to remove their junk, I was told no due to "a future houseowner might want it". I tried again today to have them come out to remove their junk and was told no due to not having a contract. Definitely a scam to get you to renew your contract, just so they can refuse to remove the tech again. Now I have to hire a contractor to remove their junk. No way I'm going to sell a house with "Front Door Tampered" going off every time a potential buyer walks through the front door. The customer service people on the online chat were all polite and easy to work with, but they were pretty useless due to all the stupid rules keeping them from doing anything. Oh, and the people who came to our door in Lebanon (MO) quoted us one price and then the person who came to install the junk gave us another that was higher. So it seems like the people who first came to our door flat-out lied to us. In summary, ADT is a big bloody scam with completely useless equipment. I bought some cameras for $25 apiece with no contract and they work FAR better than anything ADT provided for $65/month plus installation fees plus a contract. Took me 10 minutes to install them myself, too. Avoid ADT and you avoid wasting your money. ADT = A Dang Trick

Since put a down payment in early summer 2022 we literally phoned/texted hundreds of times…read more Typical response was no response. We heard more excuses than I had ever heard before including health, personal problems, family problems, employee shortage and other employee problems, multiple car problems including not being able to finish the job because our parts were in the car and they couldn't access the car at the repair shop, and more excuses. We hired BAS Security (Duane and Steve) to update our security system in early summer of 2022. BAS had installed a partial security system in the unfinished building eight years earlier. After taking the deposit, it was near impossible to reach Duane or anyone else with BAS. After many dozens of left messages/texts and finally threatening to file a complaint, they responded in late fall early winter 2022 and came out and partial wired the house that was about to have the sheetrock installed. They could never finish the job when they came out, always noting a part or two was always missing or some other explanation. Unfinished work that started off another serious of dozens of phone calls/texts before finally getting a response, and more often than not Duane would say they would come out on a certain date and never show. Our original agreement was to wire in the security system as the walls and ceils were exposed. It was concerning that all along as they appeared uncertain of themselves, and confused where the work had stopped at their previous visit by Duane/Steve or another employee. Particularly installing and finding one line (NE corner of the house). After the sheetrock, true to the previous, they never could finish the job and assured us they'd return the next day or next week - never to show when they said they would. Finally, they told us the very line they were struggled with and so confused about had apparently been cut or severed by the sheetrock installers or another contractor, despite the fact we used an experienced sheetrock installers and builders. Also, no one had any other lines severed or damaged. In addition, where the security line in question was run there is no explanation of why anyone of the other contractor could have severed any lines. Duane advise we abandon all the wiring and now install a wireless system, despite the fact we wanted a wired system. Or we could have a wired system minus the most important camera. Now we had to pay for a new wireless system, besides the money paid for the whole house wired system. The cycle started all over again, dozens of phone messages/texts Daune may or may not respond and say they would come out on a certain day and never show, more phone messages and texts. When they did come out, they again never had all the parts, or some other reason why they couldn't finish the job. Now nearly two years from our first downpayment the work isn't complete. The system just starts talking aloud for unknown reasons. One sensor just fell from the wall, and I realized they used tape to secure it instead of screws and a bracket. They never hooked up the siren that they initially installed. The screen pictures are poor, inconsistent and often one or two or more camera views are absent, there are visible wires, holes in metal where they took out the wired system and installed a wireless system, four devises plugged in to one four prong outlet, inconsistent performance and weird things such as the alarm going off for no reasons in the middle of the night, etc... In the last three to four months Duane stopped replying to any phone calls and texts altogether.

You get what you pay for. They were a few dollars cheaper than ADT. Never showed back up to do the…read morework and would always send calls to voicemail. Took $300 of my money and I got nothing in return. Absolute joke of a company. Should have just gone with ADT in the first place. I have never been happier.
