Vivid Racing took my money, and then I received an e-mail stating that there was not any inventory available. I was already half way through so built it out of pocket and fixed issues. reached out to see about a partial refund for the defective item i boight for $1200! they refused to give me manufacturer info so I could reach out tot them. instead they told me they were negotiating on the manufacturers behalf and could only give me $100 refund or I need to break down the item and send it back. Horrible experience! I placed an order with Vivid Racing in March and I received part of my order. When I called them to let them know two items were missing, they informed me that item back ordered of two months. I told them I would wait since they said I should receive it early May. I called the second week of May and I was then told it would be mid- May. I have now called twice this week and spoke with their customer service representative May who was very clueless about her job. She didn't have an eagerness to help me with my situation, she didn't understand my concerns. She said they now don't have an ETA for this product and isn't sure when they will have an ETA. On the second call I made I asked to speak with a manager, May kept asking me why when she knew exactly why. the manager (Ray Ramirez) he is never available I can't get a properly explanation on what's going on. I don't understand how an item can be listed on their website as in stock when they don't have that product instead of giving me another option all they say is they don't have an ETA. This is briefly what happened to me: I contacted Mr. George for an AWE air intake at the beginning of December, obviously very friendly and helpful before making the payment. Initially the shipping was scheduled for January 7,2024, then got postponed to January 17th... again, nothing happened! After much insistence via email I've been told that the manufacturer postponed to April, my idea is to get out of the legal period for a possible litigation with credit card issuer. Then I IMMEDIATLY asked to cancel the order as April was not acceptable and get a refund. Poor Customer service.... Purchased hood and splitter, both arrived (in Australia) damaged. For some reason they are putting the packaging and handling into me! I paid them a lot of money to transport both items to Australia, they told me that they ship "all over the world"....i doubt that very much. Both items arrived (not as arranged) damaged...now they are telling me that I should have kept the cartons....both cartons were huge and not kept as I have nowhere to store them....but why would I want to? They are asking me for shipping details....i didn't ship them, they did! I was told that both item were made in America....they were made in china! They were both still in original carts...not inspected prior to shipping so the good could have been damaged in shipping from china to america YET they are asking me for shipping details. I'm finding this extremely bazar and it's obvious that they are being bulldozed by the shipping company. I can't wait so I send an email reply asking to cancel the order. No reply. I try to call and end up on interminable hold for customer service. I send an email to sales. no reply. Next day I spend 28 minutes on hold for CS and finally get through with my request. I'm assured the order will be cancelled and I'll get a confirmation. 3 days later (today) I get an email indicating that they have my request but I may still be charged for return shipping if I refuse the wheels, should they actually ship !! Vivid Racing has managed to go from my go-to source for performance car parts (tens of thousands of USD$ spent on parts for my Subie, my 911, R35 GTR, etc.) to absolute TRASH in the span of just a few short years. I was originally lead to Vivid Racing many years ago due to their broad selection & great communication but their customer service is now non-existent. Ahmed was THE MAN when it came to customer service; and James was a wonderful resource. Nowadays you can't even communicate with a human. It seems the owners are now hiding behind their A.I. bot "staff" to avoid dealing with legitimate customer issues that can easily be resolved. Originally inquired if brake pad set on their website could fit my car a year ago, and the customer service rep ensured me that it will fit (Attached email interaction). It's listed as a MK7 Golf R brake pad, which fits the MK7 Golf GTI Performance Pack for the front pads. It didn't specify on their website if it was front or rear, and so I asked customer service if it was fronts and they confirmed that was the case. Fast forward a year later, I decide to finally pull the trigger on the brake pads. Once they came in, I realize the pads they sent are clearly for the rear since they were much smaller than anticipated. Not only was it not the front pad like they said it was, but the rears for a Golf R uses a different brake pad compared to the GTI due to the electronic parking brake found on the Golf R... I figured well honest mistake from the customer service rep let's just get this returned... sent out the return request form and it was rejected because the brake pads sold happened to be listed as clearance, and when it's a clearance item, it can't be returned. Well I only ordered this part because I was told by customer service that the part would fit! I tried to explain to the returns rep that I was told it would fit my car, and they said because the information was a year old and information changes, it cannot be returned. I have never gotten this much pushback before in my life on a return, let alone for a mistake that customer service introduced. I honestly feel like I've been scammed being promised one product yet sold another, and I can't even return it and so I'm stuck with a $350 paper weight because of their false customer service information. Never shopping here again obviously. Definitely the worst online shopping experiences I have ever experienced when ordering parts for my car. read more
