Frankly, as someone who has worked on the other side of a…read moremedical office counter, I think it's a bit silly for folks to expect to be seen immediately as if other patients aren't also due time and attention when their concerns or questions might run long, for doctors not to book out in advance, and to not have some patience with customer service folks. People are difficult to deal with, and these folks have to deal with many people who are not feeling well, who are often navigating a tangle of insurance and stressed out, and who are probably snapping at the CSR because of it. I always give the benefit of the doubt with customer service folks, especially in healthcare - it is NOT an easy job! And in my experience, I most often get what I give as far as how I am treated. As for my medical experiences, I've been an Acton Medical patient for almost my entire life, and I have had very solid experiences with them throughout - especially of late. Dr. Natalie Cohen has developed a solid and trusting doctor-patient relationship with me, making meaningful notes about our conversations so she can follow up next time, never making me feel like she is in a rush, asking about and making suggestions for the health of my whole self, and truly listening and making me feel like she is honestly invested in my well being. She's a rare breed these days when many other doctors have made me feel like they just needed to check off the boxes and get into the next exam room.

This is $40 and the person on the phone cant take my payment either. So this practice holds your health hostage for $40. Too bad I liked the doctor(s) and nurses, but now I will find another doctor.

First of all, she's good at what she does. I have some pretty weird allergies (celery, strawberries... and beer?!) in addition to my horrible pollen troubles. She gave me the most thorough allergy testing I've had and laid out all the information so that I could understand it (it has a name - oral allergy syndrome). She then laid out a plan of attack for us and it's been working wonders! Dr. Laznickova also has a great bedside manner. Shots are often painless, and lollipops are always offered. No matter what, she is always concerned about how you feel and will ask you - at least several times per visit. This is seriously the sweetest doctor I've ever known. She's also on your side when you're on a budget. For example, she gave me a catalog with some things I could buy to help control my dust mite allergies. I've seen these before, and I don't believe in some of the products, So, when I mentioned these feelings, she pointed out the exact items that would give me the most benefit for the least cost - a $5 mattress cover instead of a $100 air filtration system. I also got a ton of free samples, which I haven't even needed to replace months later! All the logistical things are perfect at this office. The location is easy to get to even in 8:30 AM traffic. Parking is ample and wait times are short. When the doctor sees you, there is no rush to get you out the door and you have her full attention. In summary, you can't go wrong here. Five stars.

This is a MGH West - a new and rather excellent outpatient facility. To begin with, there is a free…read moregarage parking! They have a wide range of specialities, including podiatry, cardiology, a cancer center, dermatology, pediatrics, neurology, primary care, OT and PT. It's easier to obtain an appointment there than in MGH's downtown location. Consequently if you live in a western or northwestern suburb, it's your best bet for MGH care. The front line receptionist staff are happier and more patient orientated than the main downtown hospital. I speculate that this "happy" atmosphere even permeates medical appointments. It certainly has been my experience that physicians seemed more relaxed. The doctors often split their time with MGH downtown. They have an in building eatery. There is a podiatry speciality store selling lots of cool speciality products for your feet. The building is surprisingly aesthetically pleasing. It is appointed with wide and spacious hallways and this makes it particularly wheelchair friendly. You can relax in comfortable armchairs in a sunswept atrium. So it's ideal if you are accompanying a friend or family member for a medical procedure. (Parts of it remind me a a pleasant hotel lobby.) There is easy and close access to the highway - another plus for people with disabilities. Indeed the entire experience there is disability friendly! I like the elevators, they are numerous, spacious, and fast - something you will appreciate when need to leave quickly.

Dr. John Kwon, MD (MD!, not DPM), is an expert, Fellowship trained Foot and Ankle orthopedic surgeon, who exudes expert, state of the art, compassionate care. Dr. Kwon surgically repaired a complex foot condition of mine, and, here I am, six months post-op, and I so regret not having my foot condition repaired, years prior, by Dr. Kwon. I am grateful to an MGH orthopedic surgeon for referring me to Dr. Kwon. Dr. Kwon's Care Team includes a Physician Assistant by the name of Patrick Maguire, who is a superb clinician, as well. Dr. Kwon and Patrick Maguire function as a very cohesive team, and collaborate closely. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Kwon updated Patrick Maguire about what he discovered of my condition, in the operating room, while Patrick was seeing patients in the Foot and Ankle clinic. I saw Patrick several hours, later, as we were leaving Day Surgery, and Patrick had already heard about my surgery from Dr. Kwon, even though Dr. Kwon, and Patrick, were in two different places. Dr. Kwon's support team, in the office, two, very caring ladies, are superb; they are as caring, as they are professional, and efficient. I am confident that I could not have found a better foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon, than Dr. Kwon, and Dr. Kwon's team, and the Day Surgery Team (including nursing and anesthesia) are absolutely superb.

Very poor COVID-19 response. I called early in the morning to schedule my sick kids for testing…read moreand was told I needed to fill out an online form in order to request testing. I did so and received a confirmation. Hours later, nobody reached out so I gave the office another call. I was told to rest assured that they would be scheduled for testing via text message. Several hours went by again and I called back and was told that because both kids are under the age of 5, the online system wouldn't schedule them and I should have received an error message. The woman I spoke with didn't believe that I got a confirmation, so I'm posting it here because I took screenshots. By the time the issue was figured out, no appointments were available. Very disappointing, PediWest. We are over 2 years into the pandemic and still your system is failing sick children.
